READY Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20 - null
\i went to the bareminerals boutique that I always go to and was talked into getting the Ready Foundation. Big mistake. the coverage is horrible. Since it's so expensive I will use it until it's gone but I am very disappointed. Definitely LOVE the original though. :(
I loved this product! I was having a hard time finding a foundation that feels light but gives you the perfect coverage. Unfortanutely, my skin had an allergic reaction to this product which made me very upset. Best coverage I have ever used!
I purchased my first Ready compact at an Ulta store. Unfortunately I dropped the compact and within a couple of days it broke into a million pieces. I chalked that up to user error. The 2nd compact was purchased through the BE site online. Unfortunately, it cracked & crumbled soon and was unusable and this time I DID NOT drop it- just crumbled on it's own. Because the coverage and color was great (I was matched at the store) I decided to take one more chance. If it cracks again- I am done. I will come back to the site and update the review if it does. Unfortunately the original shades don't work for me without combining 2 colors. that's too much work and too much of a mess. That's why I was glad to hear about the Ready compact. Love the product but not the inconvenience and loss of money and time.
Finally a "Fair" that is really for fair skin!
I'm a natural redhead, and therefore have very pale skin that gets red easily. The "Fair" in the original foundation was too dark for me. The "Fair" in the READY line seems perfectly designed for a pale complexion without much yellow -- and they have a shade with more yellow in it for those who need it.
I have combination skin, and this foundation doesn't cake or get too heavy or oily for me. One of the things I love about BareMinerals foundation is that it does not run at all even if I'm sweating buckets outside in 100+ degree weather -- I attended an outdoor funeral service in August in the South and it seemed to stay on better the more I sweated!
Love this foundation. Goes on silky and smooth and wears all day. Does not settle into fine lines and keeps your skin soft and velvety.
A must have for all ages! And there is no mess so it travels nicely
The worse foundation ever!
This is the worse foundation I had ever seen!! I am a supper bare minerals fan, I love their loose original foundation. I received this ready foundation as a sample. I am super disappointed with it!! It is very caky! It make my pore look super big and make my face super oily! If I can I will give it a zero star, this is such a heart breaking product!!!
I recently bought it because I needed full coverage, I have some acne scars and hyper pigmentation. Definitely, go get , shade match at the makeup counter because the shade is different from the original foundation. It is not messy like the original- loose powder which I love- I tend to get it all over the bathroom sink & counter. I would watch Leslie's video about the Ready Foundation, she gives helpful tips to avoid the cakey look. If you don't have the precision brush or something similar, I suggest you go it one. It's natural looking and I have gotten compliments from my coworkers.
Not for me!
I have used both the bare minerals matte and original foundation. This one is definitely more chalky. It is hard to get full coverage with this foundation and still have it look smooth. My favorite foundation is definitely the original.
Made my skin look great
Love the READY Foundation
After reading all of the reviews when this product first came out I was skeptical to try it, because I already loved the matte loose foundation. I watched many videos for how to apply it and I was color matched at my local Ulta store. I actually use a blend of two colors to achieve the perfect match. I have to say that I love this product. I have oily skin. This is not a matte foundation. But I use the Prime Time fact primer for oily skin and a slight touch of READY mineral veil under my foundation and find it last all day. If I am planning on going out in the evening I usually swipe a little mineral veil over the top to cut any shine on my forehead. I purchased my original compact about a year ago. I use it everyday. It has lasted forever and I am just now ready to replace it. I love this product because it is easy to apply, provides great coverage, isn't messy like the original, and lasts forever. I highly recommend it.
I love how you can control the coverage and it really looks like I am wearing no makeup at all but my skin glows! I get so many compliments and get all the women in my family gifts from here and they are hooked too!
A waste of money
I have been using Bare Mineral foundation for years. When the new foundation came out, I was ecstatic. Finally an easier form of foundation to carry with me. WRONG!!! I bought my first foundation only to arrive home to find the foundation cracked. It crumbled and fell apart. I took it back and was given another. A few months later I bought another at Ulta with a coupon. I didn't quite need it yet, so I safely stored it on a shelf. I went to use it three months later, and it too was cracked. Since my time to return had expired I just decided to use it. It only lasted a week before the whole compact crumbled and I had to throw it out!! I am switching to a different brand. This is too much money to keep wasting on product that falls apart!!
Love this makeup. I don't use anything else not even the original. Golden Deep fits my skin perfectly.
I have a had a few issues with it. First, it is supposed to be hydrating (which I didn't know), and so it only pronounced my pores and my oily skin. It does have a nice natural finish, but I only see that in the morning before my oiliness makes it feel too thick. Second, I was not informed that I needed to be shade matched for the READY foundation, but you definitely do - a lot of the colors change their darkness/lightness, so I ended up disliking the shade I had bought since it was too dark.
I suggest for oily-skinned gals, like myself, to stick with the MATTE foundations. However, if you'd like to give it a try, go for it - I have heard that many people do love it, and it can be hot or miss for people, so you won't know until you try it.
I would get this foundation if you love full, natural-looking coverage, have dry skin (because it's hydrating), or love the convenience of the compact. it is a great product, just not right for me.
Full coverage with a natural look
I LOVE this foundation. I've been a BE user since 2005, and I recently tried this foundation compact, and it's pretty amazing for several reasons. First, it provides full coverage for your skin without a cakey look. Second, this handy compact is perfect to drop in a purse or gym bag and take with you for the occasional touch-up. Third, the color matches are amazing. I'm a fairly light user, and my pale skin looks luminous after using this. I will never use drugstore foundation again!
I am a HUGE HUGE fan of bare minerals LOOSE foundation. After trying every single foundation under the sun hoping to get a natural, dewy glow I finally found it with bare minerals and bare minerals alone. I tried this product out hoping that I would finally have something a little easier to pack in my purse and was sorely disappointed. First off, why do the colours not match the original foundation! This makes absolutely no sense, especially because I order online here in Canada and don't have the opportunity to get shade matched. Second, when you finally do put it on it goes on soooo incredibly thick! At first I thought it was my application technique or the brush because I couldn't believe bare minerals would create a foundation this bad. But unfortunately despite several attempts the end result was a cakey ghost face. I am still a fan of their original foundation and still use only bare minerals. I don't think I'll be trying any new products anytime soon unless I go into a store and they can prove me otherwise.
Best one yet
I have used bare minerals for years now and I love the product. However as I age I notice that I needed to switch foundations. The original foundation is great, but it is now a bit too "shimmery" for my skin. THe radience is just too much and it highlights my wrinkles too much and makes them very noticeable (not that there's anything wrong with wrinkles!) but my skin just didn't look as good anymore. i tried the matt finish and while that solved the original problem, it was a bit too drying on my skin. The new ready foundation ia AMAZING. I just love it, Find your new shade (because your shade will change with this formula) and be ready to be amazed at how great it covers, and how great if feels. Less luminosity than the original formula, but you still get a beautiful glow with no shimmer. I love how easy it is to put on, no muss no fuss and it FEELS good. Soft, smooth and it looks better than any of the others in my opinion. Truly like you are not wearing any makeup. I have had people who have known me for years come up to me and say, "you look great, what is different?" When I tell them I changed my makeup they don't believe i am wearing any. I have not had any problem with the makeup cracking or falling apart in the case and I have taken it in my purse and on vacations...... don't know what that is all about. Try this- you will love it.
I like it more than I hate it.
I am in search of full/maximum coverage without feeling heavy layers. I have adult acne and oily skin and therefore scarring to cover up. I also use maximum strength proactive which leaves my skin feeling tight, dry , and flaky. The ready foundation has worked really well! It gives me the full coverage I want and the much needed added moisture. I do have to blot my T-zone in the late afternoon but that's normal for my oily skin. The only thing I didn't like about this product is that it did make my large pores stand out more. I do recommend that you use this product with the precision foundation brush as it gives maximum coverage.
This is one of the worst foundation I have ever bought. It gets really cakey and made my skin very oily. I had high hopes for this product and I am very disappointed and it wasn't cheap either.
I am a huge fan of Bareminerals. I say this with great sadness. I did not like this product at all. The shade didn't the original. It felt super heavy. My pores looked much larger. This product did not blend very well.
I am still an avid fan of a lot of their products...except this one :)
Love this product! Has much better coverage that the original powder. I am 60, and it seems to have more moisture and cover flawlessly. Definitely a keeper.
I purchased my first ever B.M. starter set yesterday and I'm absolutely happy about my decision to buy. This is the first time buying makeup where I can actually get the makeup to match my skin perfectly. I got medium Tan.
I chose a medium shade of foundation. I absolutely love the product and how it makes my skin look, however; the medium shade was much too light. Normally medium is the correct shade, but with this foundation, I needed a darker shade.
Love, Love, Love This!
I have been a BE customer for years. I started out with the original foundation, then moved to the matte foundation, and most recently moved to the Ready foundation. All three foundations have their benefits and I can see where people would like one more than the others. My one is the Ready foundation. After reading reviews, I went to my local boutique to be color matched, and I also purchased the precision brush at the same time as the Ready foundation. I love the ease of use and the great coverage I get from this foundation. I use a moisturizer, primer and Redness Remedy before the foundation. I have fairly oily skin -- especially for my age -- and I find touch-ups are not frequently required.
Love it! Would not want to live without it!
I bought my first Ready Foundation back in April. I just now had to buy another one and that's only because I dropped my compact and lost the remaining foundation. I didn't realize just how much I loved Ready Foundation until I didn't have it anymore. I went back to the original I still have in my stock. While I still like the Original; it just doesn't give me the coverage that RF does. I can't wait to use Ready Foundation tomorrow morning. Oh, by the way, I wear Golden Fair in Original and Fairly Light in Ready. It definitely helps to go into a boutique to get matched.
I would also like to add that BE has the best customer service! I called in with what I thought was a minor question. The woman that took my call was so helpful and informative. Thank you for not only making a great product, but for great customer service too!
I was very hesitant about using this product, i rear through all of the reviews went to the store and got shade matched ( it is true what they say you are usually a shade darker in this then in the original foundation). I absolutely fell in love with this makeup, it last we so much longer throughout the day and my skin looks flawless. Partnered with the touch up veil and the blush I have never looked better! Worth the money!
Love it but torn about the shade.
Today will be my third order of this BE solid foundation. As long as I use the Primer first I love the way it makes my skin look and feel. But, I can't quite match my face to the shade of my body. The Golden Medium 270 is a tad too light and the Golden Tan 330 is a tad too dark. The Medium Tan would also be too dark bc it is for the same level of darkness but has different undertones. I am definitely more of a "yellow bone" so rosey tones I don't think will work. Also, I have recently begun having acne, I am 26 but I am now using Pro Active and am clearing up but still need coverage. I don't know if I just am not using the right brush bc from other reviews I have read today I guess that different brushes will give you different amounts of coverage but, I can still see some dark marks a little on my face when using this. I am going to try the precision brush. Okay that is all I have to say. I wish that there was a shade between golden medium and golden tan. I have been mixing them but I can't afford to buy 2 a month. I am just going to go lighter and add bronzer and that. Other than that I love this make up. I look so clean, refreshed, glowing and special. Since using this and Laura Gellar make up I have gotten so many compliments. I use Laura Gellar blush, eye shadown, highlighter and sometimes I will add her mineral foundation onto my Golden med. BE to make up for the lightness. Okay thanks. Good luk.
Didn't like it - at FIRST
...but I know NOW that I was applying it incorrectly, whiiiiiiiiich is sort of a fault of the company IMO.
I had previously thought, no I don't need a precision face brush I have one JUST like it at home plus flawless face brush, full flawless face brush, AND handy buki brushes - and I refused to buy another brush. That was my mistake. With application from any of those other brushes the foundation is applied "splotchy" and looks bad.
When the girl at the boutique applied the foundation with the precision brush it was seriously a different finish all together. I was actually astonished at the difference the brush makes & I caved and bought ANOTHER bm brush.
But now I am happy. One "press" in to the foundation and I can cover 1/3 of my face with the precision brush.
So while I do like the ease of application, if you don't want to buy the precision brush then don't buy this foundation b/c you won't like the finish.
Wanted to love it...
I really wanted to love this product due to the huge anti-aging and moisture benefits but, it just isn't made for oily skin. The other other issue with this product is that the shade selection is too small, it would be so helpful if the shade selection matched the loose powder foundation selection, the two shades closest to my shade were way off. I'm sticking with my B.E. matte loose powder foundation, which I love.
I had hoped this would be less messy than the original foundation as I always manage to find the loose minerals around my sink. I love the original and wish I hadn't spent the money on the "Ready" it is exactly what I was trying to get away from when I first moved to the original foundation many, many years ago. When I put this on I look too pale when I get the coverage I want. I am usually a medium in the original and ordered medium in the ready. Where the original foundation matches my skin and makes my skin look better, the READY foundation puts a fake looking layer on my skin. I think it would be better than most compact ready foundations but I had high expectations for comparable coverage from BE I don't trust the boutiques as I did a color match with them and they failed with my daughter miserably. I think BE is trying too hard to get this market of users who think a compact is faster. I honestly think after I spin the Ready compact around(I have a hard time figuring out which end to open it on) , open it, dust the brush, smooth the product on and fidget with extra blush and add concealer where the ready fails to cover that it takes longer to use the compact than the original which is a quick "Tap, Swirl and buff." I will finish this product but will have to mix it with the original foundation to get the right color.
