Correcting Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 - null
Best Concealer Since I Began Using Them At Age 13!
I'm 53, medium complexion that is combination, brown hair and eyes. I am sure over the past years I have tried hundreds of concealers from big brands in drug stores and pricey department stores and all failed miserably. My main concealing problem area is hereditary dark under eye circles which become purplish/black during allergy season.
Doesn't matter the brand, claims, price or type concealer none of them worked past to present until now. Most concealers were too pink, too yellow or too light. So color was always a problem. Consistency were extremes too. Either too liquid and would soak into my skin, too thick and drying, or would go on great and look great then within 30 minutes would disappear or accentuate wrinkles to the extreme.
This concealer has good color choices, and while maybe not looking exactly like your skin tone on your computer/android screen in actuality they are very forgiving like all BE foundations are. If you can "try before you buy" where BE is sold I would suggest that before buying. I bought the Light 2 and color was fine, just the tiniest bit too light. I received free samples of the concealers from another purchase and discovered that medium 2 is perfect!
It covers wonderfully. It is easy to apply and I use my finger for best results because brushes don't give as great application with concealer for me. Common sense application starting out minimally and then building for needed coverage. It takes just a few seconds & done!
One drawback is that within a few minutes it does settle into lines under my eyes. With that said it is no where near as bad as other concealers. After the product settles in the lines I take my bare finger and gently pat over that area. I do not add more. It does help. That was the only downside of this product. Which is why I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars.
Normally I'm not a big fan of liquid/creamy makeup products, so I was quite surprised with how much I love this one. I have severe acne and scaring(from acne), and a lot of redness on my face. And this product hid most of it very well. I was also impressed at how a little bit goes a long way. I apply this product with the bareminerals maximum concealer brush and use my fingers to blend by gently patting.
Not all that . . .
I wanted to love this product but as some reviewers stated, this concealer settles very quickly into the fine lines around my eyes. Light 2 is a good shade for under my eyes and medium 2 is good for blemishes. It does need to be "touched up" after a few hours.
Didn't work for me
Too thick for me. It creased and caked up bad and did not layer well under mineral veil. I'll stick with well rested for a more natural look.
I love this product!
I've tried many many many concealers, but this one is Definitely the best. I have (generational) dark circles under my eyes and this covers So nicely! I thought Tarte's concealer was good... but this one is even creamier and the color is Perfect. Thank you BE!
Product Is Amazing - Packaging Leaves Something to Be Desired
I've bought this product many times over and I think it's fabulous. The coverage is great and it does not irritate my sensitive skin, which I am particularly grateful for during the dry winter. However, within a few weeks of opening a new compact, the plastic hinge breaks without fail, leaving the concealer without an attached lid. I do not handle the packaging roughly, nor does my makeup bag sustain any out-of-the-ordinary daily wear and tear, which might result in the hinge deteriorating and separating from the base.
Overall, I love the quality of the concealer, so much so that I am willing to deal with the subpar packaging.
Best concealer for acne scars!
I have some old acne scars as well as newer ones from the occasional breakout. And after trying many products, including Summer Bisque and Well Rested, this is by far the best. I have not noticed if the scars have gotten lighter but it does a great job of covering up my red and brown scars. I also use it under my eyes to cover up a little bit of the darkness I have. I do have some tips that I've discovered by trial and error. My first tip is to prep with a primer before applying, especially under your eyes. It doesn't eliminate the creases or fine lines 100% but the outcome is better with the primer. Secondly, use your finger tips, rather than a brush, so you are not wasting the product. Mine lasts a good few more weeks this way. Lastly, when applying with your finger, don't rub but dab. I've found that when your rub, it settles into your fine lines. Hope this helps!
I was looking for something with great coverage, but didn't look like I had makeup caked on my face. The Correcting Concealer covers the redness on my face around the nose and eye area. I definitely would recommend this for everyone!
does its job
This concealer is creamy but still a bit on the dry side (magnifies dry patches). It conceals well. I use it on my dark spots (not under my eyes) using a lipgloss applicator, and if needed I'll dab on a second layer with my fingers. Careful, because it settles into fine lines.
Wonderful concealer! Just has an issue or two
I use this concealer every day around my eyes and over any red spots or blemishes that I have. It works great! Covers as much as I need it to, except for beneath my eyes. It doesn't 100% cover my dark circles, and it does crease on my eyelids, but other than that it's fantastic.
