Round the Clock Waterproof Eyeliner - null
I have to agree with the majority on this..they have all said it better than I can. This liner was a disappoitment. I used it for a few days and it worked okay (messy and not as easy to apply). But then I had to sharpen it and I haven't been able to use it since. Not sure why the change, but definitely need to bring back the big and bright. It was the best liner I have used in a long time so I was shocked that it was no longer available.
Just love it!
I received this eye pencil as part of a kit and immediately fell in love with it! I have very oily skin and typically my eyeliner ended up smeared all over my lids by the end of the day. This one stays and stays and stays...it lasts longer than the waterproof mascara I've been using! I will agree with the other users that you're sharpening it quite a bit, but that is the only drawback I've found for this product. Glad its now a regular item...will definitely buy again.
I love it!
I've never used the big & bright eyeliner everyone is asking for to be back, but I love this eyeliner! I feel it goes on so smoothly and stays on all day. I don't remove it with makeup remover, just wash my face with the purifying facial cleanser and it comes off. I definitely agree that it is hard to sharpen the liner into a point, until I decided to spend $3 and order the sharpener designed to be used with this liner. Now I get a perfect point and can draw a thin line on my eyes. This liner doesn't last very long though.
Please bring back the Big & Bright eyeliner!
I am dissatisfied with this product for a couple of reasons.
#1: it is impossible to get it to a point when sharpening! Sometimes I like a thick line, but I also want to be able to draw a thin line, which is impossible because it is so soft.
#2: It does not go on smoothly, requiring it to be smudged after application. I wouldn't mind that so much if it didn't dry before I even have time to smudge it! Once it dries it is very difficult to remove, which is frustrating in the morning when I am in a rush.
As a young woman who does not make a lot of money but likes to invest in quality products when it comes to make-up and skin care, I must say that I was not satisfied with this purchase. Bare Escentuals has always offered products that make me look and feel my best, but this eyeliner has done neither of those things for me.
Please bring back the Big & Bright eyeliner!
Bring back Big & Bright eyeliner
This is the only product by Bare Escentuals that I would never buy again! It does not go on smoothly - it crumbles and smears. BRING BACK THE BIG & BRIGHT EYELINER!!!!
Round the Clock
I do not like this liner. I was hooked on Big and Bright Eye Liner in Plum. When I saw that it had been discontinued I ordered the new Round the Clock thinking that it must be good. But this new liner doesn't go on smoothly. Please bring the Big and Bright back !!!
do not buy this product
I love bareminerals and buy most of my makeup from them. in the past i used thier eyeliner(the one that is discontinued) and loved it!! it was a rollup kind and lasted a long time. now i have purchased this eyeliner and will not buy another. it crumbles down really fast on the pencil and leaves you with a blunt wood edge next to your eye by the time you've finished lining the first eye. it crumbles easily when shapened and the whole stick seems to pretty much melt away in a couple of weeks!! love bare minerals but can not stand this product!!!--please bring back the old eyeliner
Will not buy again!
Stupid me, went off for Christmas leaving my Bare Minerals at home on the counter. Had to find a store and buy the essentials, one of which was eyeliner. Didn't notice the change in product. Imagine my surprise a couple days later when I needed to roll more product out and discovered that, no, if I needed more product, I also needed a sharpener. I had already decided that it did not go on smoothly, crumbled easily and was difficult to remove, and now, when I needed it, I couldn't get to it! And no time to go find a sharpener! Not to mention that I really did not want to spend yet more money. Honestly, I will be changing brands...just for this one item. Just do not like it and am disappointed that I can't just buy one product and now need the product, a sharpener, AND remover.
Bring back the old liner please!
I do not like this liner at all. Every day I'm disappointed in it. It does stay on long, yes, but it is so hard to use. My BE store rep told me to buy a special brush to use it, so I did and even that doesn't work well. It clumps a lot and I feel like I do have to sharpen it often and so am wasting the product. I won't buy it again. I use another liner from a different company. I still love my other BE products though.
Great for oily, less visible lids despite problems
I've never had an eye pencil last this long. Normally I only get this longevity with liquid liner. But unlike liquid, this is a lot faster and easier to put on in the morning when rushing. It goes on really smooth, too. You don't have to warm it under hot water. I equate the pencil to clay. It goes on easily and is blendable for the first minute or two, but once it sets its there for good. If I want to add color to my eyelid I pair this with the shadow primer and it lasts from 6 am till after 9 pm. Otherwise I prep my eyelids with a quick swish of mineral veil and the liner is there at least till the end of the work day. I have oily eyelids and because not much eyelid skin is visible when my eyes are fully opened, liners and shadows always smear into my crease within a few hours of use. So this really is a feat.
However, I also understand why people either love or hate this product because it does run out kind of quickly for a pencil and once you sharpen it the tip is blunt again after one use. However I'm okay using the blunt tip because I don't mind the thicker line. Also you need a good, new sharpener for this. The first time I tried to sharpen one of these pencils I used a few year old sharpener that normally works fine for my wood pencils. But it completely gummed Up this pencil. But the BE people were nice when I returned it and as soon as I bought a decent sharpener it worked great. Despite these downsides I still give it a 5 because I have yet to find a pencil that lasts this long on my oily lids and I love the colors that are interesting and vibrant without being gaudy. So I'm okay paying a little more.
I was at a BE outlet the other day and picked up the former eyeliners: Big and Bright. I wanted to like them, and I thought I would because I saw reviews in which people begged for them back, but they didn't work for me. Maybe they were old, but I had to hold them under hot water for 10 seconds to become malleable enough to apply to my eyes and the colors were still kind of faded and weak. And within two hours they were gone. Nothing extraordinary about that formula, in my opinion. So I'm happy with the BE change! But different strokes for different folks. I could see how someone with less oily and more visible lids might prefer the ease of the Big and Bright twist-up.
