Correcting Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 - null
I love this concealer! Using the max coverage concealer brush, I can apply just the right amount to blemishes, slightly red areas, and wind up with a perfect canvas for BE foundation. It's creamy, yet not heavy. I've found that this works best when applied to just moisturized skin, blend, and wait a minute or two before buffing in my BE matte foundation, proceed with the rest of BE makeup and topping with BE hydrating mineral veil. The only time it is cakey at the end of the day is when I have a particularly troublesome blemish that may be rather dry. Will definitely continue to use the Correcting Concealer; with very fair skin, I've been color matched to use Light 1, and it's perfect for me.
Bare Escentuals has done it again!
I admit, I've gone on to try other cosmetic brands after years of using BE, but I am continually disappointed with what I find and end up coming back! There's just nothing like the BE concealers. NOTHING! And now with the READY SPF 20 Correcting Concealer, I am NEVER going to try anything else! Just like with the Bisque Concealer, it's the only thing that really, truly conceals without looking fake or nasty! It literally melts into your skin. Love, love, LOVE it! PLEASE MAKE A LARGE SIZE, PLEASE!!!!
Just Not Like Bisque
I love the Bisque concealer and purchased this product as a replacement. Overall, the tone matched my skin pretty perfectly, and I was impressed by the seamless coverage and ease of use. I was sold by the promise of imperfecton-lightening. I'm in my 20s and have combination/acne-prone skin, and it really covered everything I wanted it to!
BUT, it did not last! The product caked and flaked throughout the day, leaving me with fine lines that make me look much older than I am. It really looks gross by the end of the day. I will not be purchasing this product again.
Not what I imagined it would be...
I am an avid Bisque user for concealing blemishes and there was this one time where I ran out of it and needed it ASAP. Ulta, Macy's, and Sephora were sold out of Bisque, so I decided to try out this creamy concealer. I thought that it was going to be even better than the bisque since it was creamy/wet. I was wrong. I don't know if I was given the wrong color (I have very Fair skin), but I was given the Light 2, I believe it was, to try and it looked horrible under my foundation. It barely covered any blemishes. And when it did, by the end of the day, it was making creases on my face - even with Bare Minerals Face Primer on. Don't get me wrong, it looked wonderful under my eyes - but that isn't why I use concealer. So, sad to say I wasted money on this. I am going straight back to Bisque and buying a couple on the website to have them as back ups for when I run out randomly.
MORE than 5 stars!
After using the loose concealer for almost 5 years, I became curious about this concealer after it came out only because of the stated correcting benefits. After a couple of tries at getting the shade matching right, I discovered that this concealer brings more beautiful magic to my face than the loose did. It's great at highlighting, covering dark circles and my favorite is that it really does conceal blemishes quite well. When "micro" concealing, I use the precision concealer brush to "dab" at the blemish until it is appropriately covered, then I "dab" at the concealed blemish with some touch up veil to seal in the concealment. Works perfectly. I have achieved concealing perfection with this concealer compared to the loose concealer. I have to say also, that after using for 8 weeks or so, dark spots that were continually concealed appeared to be diminished--big bonus.
This is really a very great concealer. Worth the price. Bare minerals has always claimed that just their foundation is good enough to double as a concealer, but it's never quite done the trick. This is by far the best concealer I've tried: long lasting, great coverage, doesn't feel cakey or waxy. I can use this under my eyes, around my nose (where my skin can get dry. Other concealers generally make it worse), and on the occasional spot I'll get. Great job with this!
perfect color, too much titanium dioxide
my skin tone is medium but i have a lot of yellow tones in it, so i find it hard to find a good match when shopping for makeup. i had been using Almay Nearly Naked concealer in light/medium for years and was so disappointed when they discontinued it because i liked being able to buy a cheaper drug-store brand without having to spend a lot of money. when i ran out, i went to my local bare minerals store (i love the powder foundation) and found a perfect color match! i was so excited to try it! i mostly use it for under eye circles and blemish treatments. within a day i noticed the skin under and around my eyes was extremely irritated, red and puffy. i think it may be due to the high titanium dioxide content (the SPF), and cannot use it for under eye circles. I am so disappointed! i will still use it for blemish treatment but I'm hoping bare minerals will make either a lower titanium dioxide formula or one without it at all. other than that, the color is perfect for my skin tone (i'm using medium 2), it covers blemishes completely, is very creamy and hydrating and it lasts all day on my oily skin! i love it for the most part but i need a product i use all over.
makes my skin look blotchy....
I got the lightest color you can possibly get, and it still makes dark blotchy spots on my face. If there were more color choices to match skintones, it would be great!
I've been using the correcting concealer in Light for 2-3 months and love it. I only need a little bit around my eyes, nose and lips. No longer do I have to use liquid foundation all over my entire face, which leaves me with a natural look that I just love.
I needed something to blend away some uneven skintone under my eyes. I may not have selected the correct color tone so in defense of the product-I do love the consistency of it. However, it doesnt seem to last very long on my skin and doesnt conceal how I would like. It does offer hydration benefits which is a plus but I feel, for my aging skin, I may need something with a bit more kick.
