Rated 3 out of 5 by Love and hate this product This product does a great job at highlighting! Only downside of this product is you can not have dry skin especially under the eyes other wise it looks terrible. I use mine primarily on my face and it does a wonderful job! 05/20/2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love looking less tired At 62 yrs of age with the heart and soul of a 25 yr old, I do my best to always try and look how I feel without being garish or too inappropriate for my age. Not that I care what other people think, but looking ridiculous is not my goal. This brightner makes me feel like I do inside without making me look like something I am not. For the customers who gave bad reviews, they just need to read the product description, this is NOT a concealer, but a brightner, 2 totally different products with 2 different goals. For others, trust the company 2 listen 2 your concerns & provide the help you need. I just love the fact that this product makes my skin look fresh & invigorated, Just the way I feel inside! 05/05/2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing Product, can't live without it I absolutely love this eye brightener, I put it under my eyes, above my eyes, around my lips, and even the top of my nose. It is truly amazing, it brightens and illuminates. Please don't ever discontinue my favorite Bare Escentuals product, although I do enjoy most all your products. Thank you! 04/11/2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Product for Brightening Under-eye Circles I don't know a lot about makeup; however, this is really easy to apply and brightens my under-eye dark circles. I can't comment on how long it lasts with everyday use, since I usually only do powder foundation and mineral veil daily. I would give it a try! 02/25/2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Reading other reviews before buying. I have a feeling some of the not so good reviews could be due to dry skin. Make sure you moisturize adequately for your skin type, after cleaning your face. If there isn't enough moisturizer then the products you put on afterwards get soaked up by your thirsty pores. If this happens, the skin care and makeup next in line won't be able to do what is expected. There is a money back guarantee, send or take it back, while inquiring what else to try to help you with brightening your face. The Cosmetic team online and in the stores have done a wonderful job helping me in any area I ask about. Reviews, good or bad are welcomed by any company worthy of their product, trust and commitment to their customer. After reading all reviews, the company will strive to make customers happy about the products they invest in. Change doesn't please everyone, but it happens every day in many ways. We learn to cope and figure out which of the new works for us. Ask for help, they're there for you! 02/14/2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Nope... I LOVE the well rested cc eye primer stick and hoped I'd like this as much since I can't get the stick anymore. Unfortunately this isn't even in the same city let alone the same ball park. It's sticky where as the stick was smooth, creamy and blended beautifully. The color is too light where the stick was just right for brightness without that "someone doesn't know how to blend" look. All in all, I won't be buying this product again as this "new" formulation doesn't work for me. PLEASE bring back the stick!!! 01/28/2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Well-Rested Eye Brightener Being a "senior citizen" I bought this to brighten the inner corners and under my eyes. I know it's not a concealer, but I use it over my concealer to help with the dark circles. I love how it brings out my eyes in the inner corners, so I do look "well-rested." Some reviewers found it to be sticky, but I did not find this at all. You have to use it sparingly, otherwise, I guess that is what would make it sticky. To me, the only downfall is that it does not last that long if you plan on using it every day. Can Bare Escentuals make it bigger??? 09/07/2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not for me I bought this in a set with some concealer. I've never used a highlighter before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. This product is very subtle, but heavy and sticky. I used a bit on my eyelids, and was very aware of the product for the rest of the day. The brush is no good either: it'll leave a glob of product in the beginning and next to nothing afterward. Using it to blend is imprecise and I always end up using my finger. 08/29/2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Sticky and uncomfortable I used this product, and it was uncomfortably sticky. It had way too much luminosity/shimmer for me. Certainly would not recommend. 08/16/2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Better than Botox! This product adds that little POP of brightener to those key places where you need a "lift"! It was recommended to me by a sales specialist in the store after I shared with her my challenges with my mid 40's complexion. I did read a few of the other reviews - this is not a concealer; it is a brightener & is used very sparingly. From the reviews, it appears to not have the effect on younger skin as I did on mine & the other middle age beauties out there. Definitely worth trying - AMAZING glow! 05/27/2015

Details:
The first time I used the brightener, a white liquid came out on the brush. The five days since, no matter how many times I turn the base, it appears nothing is coming out.... or it's a clear liquid.

Is it clear, am I doing something wrong or did I get a faulty applicator.

Answer:
You would be able to see if something is coming out, since the color is a white-cream color.

Answer:
I thought mine was broke at first. I figured if it was broke I would be able to return it so I just went ahead and kept twisting the applicator. It took a number of turns but finally a light cream color liquid started to seep out. Don't fret and keep twisting, it will come out for you too. :o)

Answer:
You're probably using too much - it is a white liquid but you're supposed to blend it into your skin. I have dark Indian skin and I use it and love it. Try a little less and see if your results change.

When I first got it, I had to turn it a lot for the product to actually start coming out. You should be able to see the product because it isn't clear.

Answer:
That is how my product is as well. I think this is intended to be a face 'illuminator' type product instead of an under eye conceal/highlight product #which is how it is advertised# which lends itself to the more white/neutral colored product.

The descriptions for the Well-Rested Face and Eye Brightener and the Stroke of Light Eye Brightener are nearly identical, and these are both new products. Can you please explain the difference between the two? Thank you very much.

Answer:
The Well-rested is more of a brightener that adds shimmer and high lights the area, versus the eye brightener which does slightly more actual concealing

Answer:
Even though both products serve the same purpose, I feel that the Stroke of Light has more tint to it than the Well-Rested pen after you apply it, but they both brighten up the face and under-eye area. I've tried both, and I would lean a little more towards the Stroke of Light.

Hope this answer helps!

Answer:
Stroke of light functions as a concealer and well rested is a brightener/highligher only. Well rested is not meant to conceal. I didn't want to admit it at first like one of the ladies at the boutique told me, but you may need both. The well rested is amazing and doesn't sink into any lines you may have, the stroke of light is really only meant for where a dark circle may be, DON'T put it too close to the under eye area and DON'T put it near any laugh lines near the eyes. The well rested it great for inner eyes, brow bone, and especially cheek bones. I think the well rested is the more important product, and you could use a lot of other concealers for any dark circles... I haven't found anything like the new liquid well-rested as far as brightening and highlighting.

Answer:
I just happen to have both of these products. The Stroke of Light Eye Brightener has a more pearlized look. I use it on my lids and under the brow. It is so pretty by itself but you can add eyeshadow. The Well-Rested Face has more of a creamy look. It still lightens the dark circles and minimizes the lines on the under eye area.

Answer:
If you want coverage around your eyes the Well-Rested Face & Eye Brightener is not what you want. I use the Stroke of Light Eye Brightener or the new SPF 20 Correcting Concealer around my eyes and then layer the Well-Rested SPF 20 Eye Brightener LOOSE POWDER over it for a flawless finish. I bought the Well-Rested Face and Eye Brightener and I absolutely hate it. It doesn't provide any coverage and it illuminates wrinkles around the eyes. Plus in my case it irritates my eyes and makes the water.

Answer:
the pen is meant to be used as more of highlight on your face and to gee you a natural glow, while the eye brightener is more used to specifically cover dark circles and bring more light to your under eye area.

Answer:
After you remove the cap, keep turning the pen clockwise until the product reaches the top. Once it does the product will come out and you won't have to turn it as much for future uses.

Answer:
You pull the cap off to reveal the brush tip. Then, you hold the center of the pen itself and turn the base clockwise to have the brightener come up through the center of the brush tip. The first time, it takes 5-10 turns to come up through the brush. After that, just one turn, but each turn lasts a bit.

Answer:
Hi Mrs. Y,
I hope that by now you have figured out how to use it, or at least still have it on hand.
Hold the product horizontal so that you can read the writing. Take the left cap off so you can see the brush. On the right you'll see the bottom of the product, which twists and makes a clicking sound every time you turn it clockwise one full turn. When using it for the first time, I suggest pointing the brush towards the ground and shaking the product so the liquid ends up near the brush end. Then turn the bottom of the product until you hear at least five clicks. Try applying the product via the brush. If nothing comes out, keep repeating the clicking and application until product reaches the brush and applies to your face. Hope this helps!

Answer:
There should be directions! Pull the cap off and at the bottom of the wand is a twist portion. Turn that clockwise about 4 or 5 clicks. The Brightener drops out of the brush and is easily applied. I just love this product! Minimizes the dark circles and fine lines.

I had to turn it clockwise more than 5 times to get the liquid flow. Plus I turned it upside down. I think it had been stored upward.
