"Always remember to apply a sheer layer of bareMinerals Prime Time Eyelid Primer before the application of any bareMinerals eyecolor. Prime Time Eyelid Primer lends longer wear and vibrancy to any bareMinerals eyecolor. I would also suggest routinely applying one of our bareMinerals velvet matte eyecolors as an all-over eyelid base color. bareMinerals Chenille, Soul or Vanilla Sugar Eyecolors are the most popular choices and guaranteed to tone down any darker shade of eyecolor."

"I have very dark lids and use Bisque on them first, before I apply my eyeshadow colors. This makes the colors more true and make my eyes pop."

"Open your eye area by using Cultured Pearl or Opal Glimmer just under the brow and on the brow bone. And shape the eyebrow with a nice arch. I also make sure to use Well-Rested over my entire eyelid."

"Try foiling. I love foiling different eyecolors. It adds so much dimension and depth to the colors and really makes your eyes pop. It’s such a great way to liven up any eye look and is great for any time of the day."

"If you’re hesitant about using color, try using just one at a time. Pick a neutral shade for all over the lid and in the crease, and put just a tiny bit of color at the outside corner of the eyelid, brushing and blending it up a bit toward the crease and inward toward the center of the eyelid. Then, next time, try foiling a little of that color, and between the wet/dry looks you'll soon find yourself wanting them all like a brand new box of crayons!"

"Layering is a great technique. I love layering colors to achieve fun and different looks to match any outfit or mood. Go with lighter colors near the eyelash and brow line, and darker colors in the creases. It’ll make your eyes pop."
