bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20 - null 4.3 5 331 331
Really great, and I was a skeptic! Pros: Improved my skin, doesn't break me out, great coverage, brush is awesome, love the feel, velvety smooth, very natural looking, no makeup line Cons: could be a problem for very dry, flakey skin. Moisturize though, because using this product will be a god send! 09/13/2014
so affordable I would like to point out the affordability of this foundation. For the price and amount of uses you get out of it is amazing. You literally use just 2 tiny drops for your full face so the product lasts a long time. I also know there were a lot of people complaining about having to buy the brush. I have a solution for you! I used my realTechniques buffing brush and it worked magically! And that brush costs a fraction of the bareMinerals one!!! 09/08/2014
Very Impressed! I live in Canada, so I wasn't able to try this product when it first came out, but I tried it the first chance I got because I was so curious! I went into a boutique and had someone put it on me, and I was very impressed with how weightless it feels and how even the coverage is. I bought some, and have been wearing it almost every day since. I still love the feeling of it, and its effective coverage, and I love that it's not scented and I don't feel like I'm wearing "liquid" makeup. The only reason I didn't give it 5/5 is that every now and then, I notice that a bit of it has collected in the crease on either side of my nostrils, and it looks kind of greasy and I have to wipe it away. I don't know if that's because I put too much on around that area or what, but it doesn't happen every day, just once in a while. If I make sure to bring my touch-up veil with me, I don't have any problems with that though, I can just touch up throughout the day and I'm good to go. Overall, best liquid foundation I've ever tried! 09/07/2014
skeptic turned believer i was never into this line of makeup because i felt like the infomercials were overly dramatic. my mom brought me home a sample of this foundation, not only did the color blend seamlessly with my skin tone but its so soft and doesn't sink into any pores or lines. i honestly was like wooooaaa omg. my skin looks airbrushed. lol i sound like one of the infomercials i was so against. 09/07/2014
Easy to Use Liquid Makeup I only use bareMinerals makeup, so I was very excited to try the new liquid serum. Overall, I love the liquid. Just two small drops and my whole face is covered. I have used this new liquid makeup since it first came out and I still have plenty left. It is definitely worth the price. My only disclaimer is that it does tend to get oily throughout the day even with matte powder over top of it. This may be due to my naturally oily skin as well, however I have found that while I wear this makeup I do have to apply extra powder during the day to keep it looking matte and not shiny. Great product! I will buy this again. 09/04/2014
Love this foundation for nights out I am an avid user and lover BE original loose foundation in fair. When this liquid foundation came out I had to give it a try, so i got it in Bare Porcelain 01. The color match was perfect- very fair skin with pink undertones, this is awesome. The most noticeable thing for me was the shine-factor. This stuff has a gorgeous luminous finish, but that means you really have to watch out for some excessive shine throughout the day/night and keep some blotting paper/powder available for touch ups. For this reason I tend to only wear this foundation more for nights out/special events/short outings. 09/01/2014
so good so far I have worn this foundation twice and so far i am liking it! I have oily skin but don't enjoy super matte finishes. This product leaves my skin more dewy than matte without making me look oily. I was able to wear it for about 6 hours before it needed any touch ups. Its definitely worth the money! 09/01/2014
What a difference! I am not an avid make up user, as a matter of fact until now I have only ever purchased drug store foundation. Recently my acne has been getting so obnoxious, and I do not want to look like a teenager as I get ready to graduate from college. I had several friends recommend Bare Minerals. When I walked into the store I was incredibly clueless, a sales associate demonstrated the liquid foundation and I was hooked. My blemishes and red spots disappear and the coverage is so light and silky. I really do feel like I'm not wearing any make-up at all! 09/01/2014
The perfect foundation is bareSkin I love bareSkin. Just four drops into the perfecting brush and I have full coverage that lasts all day! It goes on effortlessly and does not clog my pores. Its honestly like you have nothing on. After I apply the foundation I use the bareMinearls ready bronzer and apply a touch of mineral veil and my skin stays perfect all day. I just switched to bareMinerals makeup and I could not be happier. It defintely is worth it compared to the typical makeup you buy at the store. 08/29/2014
Brush not included! I just recently purchased this in the store, and while the product itself seems to be nice, the brush that they tell you is ESSENTIAL is an additional cost! I was really disappointed to get home and find out that I had to go back and buy a new brush when I could have stuck with the powder and used my old one. 08/28/2014

I am 59 and need to find a new foundation that won't make my facial wrinkles so obvious. Up until now the only foundation I have found that blends into my face color is Pink 2 by Shishedo (sp?). I am very fair and have pink tones compliments of my red headed dad..lol
I have wasted so much money on liquids, powder foundation, mineral ones and I can no longer afford to waste money as I am disabled and on a fixed income.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
betty

Please shake the bareSkin® Pure Brightening Serum Foundation well for a perfect mix of ingredients. As for the very strong odor, this is not normal. We suggest to check with Ulta regarding their return policy. If they are not able to accommodate you, please call bareMinerals® Customer Care at 1-888-795-4747.

I am a true believer in Bare Minerals. I love this make-up! With that being said I have "complicated skin" its classified as oily, I have mild rosacea so my cheeks tend to be dryer than the rest of my face. I used to use the oil control primer. That didn't seem to work so I went back to the original primer. I just bought the BareSkin foundation got color matched at my local supplier and I bought the brush the whole nine yards. I love the way this foundation feels but accentuates my dry areas and doesn't help with looking seperated on my face after a day. I only use 2 to 3 drops for my whole face for the coverage. I don't know what I am doing wrong it is almost as if it is melting off my face. If i touch my face throughout the day it comes off. ( also I must add that I did get samples of this product before I bought it , it didn't do this with the samples, and i used a different BM brush then the one that they recommended you use with this product) Please HELP !! I hate to waste all this $$$!

I did see a lot of bad reviews from people with problem or sensitive skin. I also noticed the best reviews always mentioned using the BM brush which is why i decided it was necessary to purchase. I have always had a problem with BM smudging off easily. The Urban Decay setting spray works wonders for the bare minerals and maybe it will work for the foundation as well.

I've had my bareskin foundation for a couple of months now and have always shaken it before applying each drop. However, now when I shake it and twist off the cap it appears to be so liquidy that the foundation leaks down the side of the bottle and oozes quickly out the top instead of forming nice individual drops. Any suggestions on how/if this can be remedied? Thanks!

Try taking the cap off and keeping your finger on the lid when shaking, then slowly tip the bottle until just a drop come out and be sure to shake very well. I find it is easier that way than to keep the lid on while shaking. A tiny amount always runs over the sides of the top, but I just swipe the brush over it to grab it all, and use that for a little extra coverage on a scar on my neck area.

At the moment I am using bare mineral powder foundation along with the mineral veil which is amazing for my oily skin and doesn't bring me out in spots!! I have tried lots of liquid foundations and they all bring me out In lots of spots but I think the coverage with liquid foundation is so much better than with powder! Do you recommend this for me? I would love to try it but it's a lot of money if It doesn't get along with my skin.

Definitely not. I have oily skin, and this liquid foundation is terrible! It enhances shine (the bad oily kind), and it sinks into pores making them really stand out. Right at first when I put it on, it looks flawless and great. Within 20 minutes it's smudgy, streaky, makes my skin look dry, and fills in my pores (that's the only place I get any "brightening")

I have oily skin, and I absolutely love this! I have acne scarring and some other spots. I just use concealer and then four drops of this (which gives me medium coverage) and my skin looks flawless! It doesn't do the normal liquid foundation, make-you-look-oily-by-noon-thing. I do finish with mineral veil and some days I will touch up after lunch, but that isn't really necessary every day. It usually just dries up the sweat from the walk to and from the car during my lunch hour!

I recommend this for everyone. The girl who did my make-under (where I first used this) also has oily skin and she has had a similar experience. It is definitely worth the investment, if you ask me. And then it only takes 4 drops, too, so this is going to last me FOREVER!

Just one tip: make sure you shake it up well before opening it, because the contents tend to separate if left sitting.

It has been to my knowledge that neither minerals nor SPF are camera friendly, so I believe I already know that answer to this question. But due to those ingredients, will I receive a flashback in photos or would you suggest this for brides? Or you would honestly suggest a professional foundation better suited for photography.

Thank you.

Dear Bride,
You'd be surprised how many makeup artists use Bare Escentuals with the SPF for professional photography! Especially bridal photos! Bare Escentuals makes your skin look soft, smooth, and radiant! You will never look oily, shiny, or sweaty! The color selection is awesome, and can be started with soft, natural colors for day time, and as the evening begins, you can "smoke" your eyes and brighten your lips, dance all night, and look gorgeous in every photo! Both of my daughters, their bridesmaids, and the Moms and Grandmothers had Bare Escentuals applied by professional makeup artists. Even our little flower girls were allowed a touch of lip gloss and clear Radiance was used on their eyelids and cheeks. We all looked so perfect! Many guests noted the "family resemblance", ask if the brides, maids, and Moms were models. Many said the Grandmothers and Moms looked too young to have bridal daughters! Most of all, the brides were radiant, beautiful, and looked so in love! This makeup can't make you look "in love", but since you are, it can enhance that magic glow and help it shine through your eyes, not on you nose and cheeks! Try a practice session with an artist familiar with the products. You won't regret it!

I'm curious for feedback from my fellow Bare Minerals loyal users. I began with Bare Minerals Original formula foundation but upon trying the Ready Foundation I fell in love with the Ready Foundation and use it loyally. I am curious about Bare Skin Brightening Serum but not sure if I will get the same results. So I'd like to know what other Bare Minerals users have found when comparing the two.

There is no better. It really depends what exactly Your looking for. With the Ready foundation it moisterizes and keeps skin moist for people with dry skin to combination and you can layer it to any finish you like from light to heavy. This also has more of a mattified look to it when applying. With the BareSkin Brightning serum foundation you can layer your foundation to whatever finish you prefer however this one seems to have an added plus like the brightening serum if you have dark spots like me you will like this foundation since you will not have to use an addtional brightening serum at night. This foundation will give you a dewy look upon application. All in all if your up to it go to your local boutique and try it out your self to see if you like. I love it!

Hello: I've been a long time original formula foundation user but then switched to the ready foundation when that product came out. While I liked the ready foundation better because it was less messy so for me easier to use, I've always preferred a liquid foundation so you can imagine my excitement when I heard about bareSkin. I purchased the bareSkin when it came out and I can only tell you how much I love it. The results, I think, are way better than the powder. I'm able to control the amount and I think it goes on smoother and the skin feels amazing. The color also matches me better especially when season changes. Before this summer, I used a drop of linen plus a drop of natural (I was between colors), and now that I've had a little bit of sun, I use two drops of natural only. Hope this helps you! All I can say is, go and get a color match (Sephora does a good job) and give it a try.

If you are using the Matte foundation, you probably have fairly oily skin. I have used the matte powder with success, and I tried the liquid and it's disastrous. It makes my pores look enormous and bright. It makes my skin look flaky and dry in some places and super oily in others. It's disappointing, but I'd say stick with the matte for now.

I would suggest Bare Shell (02) or Bare Satin (06) because they are cool tones (Fairly Medium is a cool tone). You should check out the Foundation Shade Finder on the bareescentuals.com website (under the learn tab). You can see pictures of what the shades look like here.

I am 55 years old and have used your famous powder foundation, plus other products for several years now. However due to lots of sun damage the powder is really setting into my lines and wrinkles. I have been wishing for a liquid line from your company! Thank you. Haven't bought it yet. Over the past several years I have sadly developed large pores, and hormonal chin acne. I also have very yellow undertones to my olive skin
So I am curious as to what color to choose. Also I am not giving up on the regular bare mineral kit because I still love the products. I have been wearing medium, I am wondering if medium beige matte might be better for me. Now that I am not in the sun, my skin is a shade lighter. Also would appreciate advice advice on the cleanser and treatment for large pores. Thank you so very much! Gratefully, Claudette Granata :)

I have used Bare Minerals for many, many years, but recently switched to Bare Skin and absolutely love it. I will be 51 in October, and I too, have sun damaged skin. While I haven't used Buxom foundation, I feel the Bare Skin has brightened my skin a little and my lines look less prominent. I do apply a good moisturizer all over my face and neck, then apply the Prime Time primer, and I think that is the key to having good results with the Bare Skin (besides shaking the bottle very well)! I also used the "medium" Bare Minerals powder foundation to cover some age spots and redness on my nose and chin, right before I apply the Bare Skin. Also, I felt like the Bare Minerals foundation did not last all day, but the Bare Skin does. I hope this helps you in your decision!

I believe Bareskin foundation is not meant to be used with a primer. Try with moisturizer only. Also, it could have the settling look due to the wrong shade. On me it looked dry on my cheeks but I switched shades and it looks great. Good luck!

Hello. I have very sensitive skin with dry patches especially around the chin area. I find that as long as I exfoliate, then apply moisturizer, primer (wait til it dries), and then buff in the BareSkin foundation, it blends in nicely without patches. I also prefer to build in the foundation, use a drop or 2, and add if needed because my entire face may not need the same amount. Perhaps an excess of the product might not get absorbed and just sits on the surface making it pasty?
