bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20 - null 4.3 5 339 339
This is the Most Amazing Product Ever! I have tried a few foundations, serums and powders alike. Every powder was too loose and flakey looking, and every serum too heavy and suffocating. I am also on a budget, so I couldn't afford to fall in love with too pricy of a product in my search for perfection. When BareMinerals came out with bareSkin Serum, I stepped out on a limb and tried my chances... BEST $30 I have EVER spent in my life!!!!! The product is absolutely everything its made up to be and so much more, it blows everything out of the water—it is simply amazing and you won't regret your purchase for a second. This foundation makes your skin look SO GOOD that you could seriously forgo applying anything else in the morning and just bask in the simplicity of the au natural—let your flawless skin do the talking! 09/23/2014
Great product Love using this foundation. I use it daily. It's light enough to look like I have nothing on but heavy enough to hide the slight imperfections. Not oily at all. Feels like I have nothing on. 09/23/2014
I hated it I have been using bare minerals since 2005. I was so excited when they came out with this. I have tried so many liquid foundations and always hate them because the fell cakey. I HATED it. It looked nice for about 30 min. but is set into my lines and made my skin look scaley. I tried it with my typical moisturizer and Primer both BE. I tried it all different ways and always had the same results. I do not even have dry skin and it made my skin look dry. :( I wanted so badly to Love it. 09/22/2014
Not great coverage, broke out from product. I LOVE Bare Minerals products, and have used only Bare Minerals for almost 10 years. I was glad to see a liquid foundation thinking it would help with small lines around the eyes. I LOVED the color choices (03 was my color and it was perfect). I was a disappointed in the coverage, thought the powder did much better. After wearing the makeup for about 4 days, I started breaking out! I have had NO problems with all the other Bare Minerals products. 09/21/2014
Finally the perfect foundation! I've always thought foundation, specifically liquid, was way too heavy. However, I decided to give BareMinerals new liquid foundation a try, and I absolutely love it! It definitely brightens the skin, a difference I saw as applying to one side of my face. The foundation, however, does not feel heavy or like it's suffocating my skin. Great work, BareMinerals! 09/21/2014
Beautiful Simplicity This foundation was actually my introduction to Bare Minerals. My friend and I went into the boutique on a whim when this was first introduced. I LOVE this foundation! I have finally found something that matches my very fair skin tone, offers variable coverage, and let's me enjoy my healthy, rosy cheeks. I love the SPF overage too. No sunscreen smell. Feels very light. However, I do tend to sweat more when I wear it. Other than that, I highly recommend it, and the brush that goes with it. 09/20/2014
Finally! I have always hated liquid foundation because it made my skin feel sticky and disgusting. Even in high school some 25 years ago I didn't use a liquid. When companies began making powder foundations I was thrilled. Then when mineral foundations came out I was overjoyed! My skin has started aging and I noticed the loose mineral foundation had started settling into my fine lines and wrinkles. When BE released this serum foundation, I was skeptical. But as a loyal user of their products, I thought I would give it a try. Much to my delight, the serum solved the problem! It floats on my skin, weightless, and looks beautiful. I am often told I look 10 years younger than my actual age. I highly recommend this product, particularly for women over 40. 09/18/2014
Good summer foundation I am always on the hunt for the perfect foundation which is the right combination of color and texture. I generally need to get two colors and blend, but so far 03 Linen works for my slightly darker summer skin. I am between a 15 and 20 in MAC. I use all foundations over a primer and this one is no different. Starting with one drop on the palm of my hand, I dab the brush into the product, then tap and swirl to apply. This gives nice coverage and extremely light texture, sometimes adding another strategic layer if needed. I do not drop the product into the well of the brush as it is unbelievable as to how much product accumulates there and does not wash out without destroying your brush. My major complaint is that the blender beads clog up the tip of the container and getting the product out can be very challenging at times so again there are packaging improvement needs! I also liked the BB primer (light, nice coverage, spf) but returned it twice due to product separation which causes pump issues, many reviewers commented similarly with that product. I do not think that this color will work for me in the Winter, and there isn't a lighter neutral, so back to blending MAC until next Summer. Maybe the packaging will be fixed by then for both the foundation and BB primer. 09/15/2014
Really great, and I was a skeptic! Pros: Improved my skin, doesn't break me out, great coverage, brush is awesome, love the feel, velvety smooth, very natural looking, no makeup line Cons: could be a problem for very dry, flakey skin. Moisturize though, because using this product will be a god send! 09/13/2014
so affordable I would like to point out the affordability of this foundation. For the price and amount of uses you get out of it is amazing. You literally use just 2 tiny drops for your full face so the product lasts a long time. I also know there were a lot of people complaining about having to buy the brush. I have a solution for you! I used my realTechniques buffing brush and it worked magically! And that brush costs a fraction of the bareMinerals one!!! 09/08/2014

I am 59 and need to find a new foundation that won't make my facial wrinkles so obvious. Up until now the only foundation I have found that blends into my face color is Pink 2 by Shishedo (sp?). I am very fair and have pink tones compliments of my red headed dad..lol
I have wasted so much money on liquids, powder foundation, mineral ones and I can no longer afford to waste money as I am disabled and on a fixed income.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
betty

Please shake the bareSkin® Pure Brightening Serum Foundation well for a perfect mix of ingredients. As for the very strong odor, this is not normal. We suggest to check with Ulta regarding their return policy. If they are not able to accommodate you, please call bareMinerals® Customer Care at 1-888-795-4747.

I am a true believer in Bare Minerals. I love this make-up! With that being said I have "complicated skin" its classified as oily, I have mild rosacea so my cheeks tend to be dryer than the rest of my face. I used to use the oil control primer. That didn't seem to work so I went back to the original primer. I just bought the BareSkin foundation got color matched at my local supplier and I bought the brush the whole nine yards. I love the way this foundation feels but accentuates my dry areas and doesn't help with looking seperated on my face after a day. I only use 2 to 3 drops for my whole face for the coverage. I don't know what I am doing wrong it is almost as if it is melting off my face. If i touch my face throughout the day it comes off. ( also I must add that I did get samples of this product before I bought it , it didn't do this with the samples, and i used a different BM brush then the one that they recommended you use with this product) Please HELP !! I hate to waste all this $$$!

I did see a lot of bad reviews from people with problem or sensitive skin. I also noticed the best reviews always mentioned using the BM brush which is why i decided it was necessary to purchase. I have always had a problem with BM smudging off easily. The Urban Decay setting spray works wonders for the bare minerals and maybe it will work for the foundation as well.

I've had my bareskin foundation for a couple of months now and have always shaken it before applying each drop. However, now when I shake it and twist off the cap it appears to be so liquidy that the foundation leaks down the side of the bottle and oozes quickly out the top instead of forming nice individual drops. Any suggestions on how/if this can be remedied? Thanks!

Try not to over shake it and after you do hold it back up right before getting your drops so it can move back down the bottle.

Try taking the cap off and keeping your finger on the lid when shaking, then slowly tip the bottle until just a drop come out and be sure to shake very well. I find it is easier that way than to keep the lid on while shaking. A tiny amount always runs over the sides of the top, but I just swipe the brush over it to grab it all, and use that for a little extra coverage on a scar on my neck area.

At the moment I am using bare mineral powder foundation along with the mineral veil which is amazing for my oily skin and doesn't bring me out in spots!! I have tried lots of liquid foundations and they all bring me out In lots of spots but I think the coverage with liquid foundation is so much better than with powder! Do you recommend this for me? I would love to try it but it's a lot of money if It doesn't get along with my skin.

Definitely not. I have oily skin, and this liquid foundation is terrible! It enhances shine (the bad oily kind), and it sinks into pores making them really stand out. Right at first when I put it on, it looks flawless and great. Within 20 minutes it's smudgy, streaky, makes my skin look dry, and fills in my pores (that's the only place I get any "brightening")

I have oily skin, and I absolutely love this! I have acne scarring and some other spots. I just use concealer and then four drops of this (which gives me medium coverage) and my skin looks flawless! It doesn't do the normal liquid foundation, make-you-look-oily-by-noon-thing. I do finish with mineral veil and some days I will touch up after lunch, but that isn't really necessary every day. It usually just dries up the sweat from the walk to and from the car during my lunch hour!

I recommend this for everyone. The girl who did my make-under (where I first used this) also has oily skin and she has had a similar experience. It is definitely worth the investment, if you ask me. And then it only takes 4 drops, too, so this is going to last me FOREVER!

Just one tip: make sure you shake it up well before opening it, because the contents tend to separate if left sitting.

It has been to my knowledge that neither minerals nor SPF are camera friendly, so I believe I already know that answer to this question. But due to those ingredients, will I receive a flashback in photos or would you suggest this for brides? Or you would honestly suggest a professional foundation better suited for photography.

Thank you.

Dear Bride,
You'd be surprised how many makeup artists use Bare Escentuals with the SPF for professional photography! Especially bridal photos! Bare Escentuals makes your skin look soft, smooth, and radiant! You will never look oily, shiny, or sweaty! The color selection is awesome, and can be started with soft, natural colors for day time, and as the evening begins, you can "smoke" your eyes and brighten your lips, dance all night, and look gorgeous in every photo! Both of my daughters, their bridesmaids, and the Moms and Grandmothers had Bare Escentuals applied by professional makeup artists. Even our little flower girls were allowed a touch of lip gloss and clear Radiance was used on their eyelids and cheeks. We all looked so perfect! Many guests noted the "family resemblance", ask if the brides, maids, and Moms were models. Many said the Grandmothers and Moms looked too young to have bridal daughters! Most of all, the brides were radiant, beautiful, and looked so in love! This makeup can't make you look "in love", but since you are, it can enhance that magic glow and help it shine through your eyes, not on you nose and cheeks! Try a practice session with an artist familiar with the products. You won't regret it!

I'm curious for feedback from my fellow Bare Minerals loyal users. I began with Bare Minerals Original formula foundation but upon trying the Ready Foundation I fell in love with the Ready Foundation and use it loyally. I am curious about Bare Skin Brightening Serum but not sure if I will get the same results. So I'd like to know what other Bare Minerals users have found when comparing the two.

There is no better. It really depends what exactly Your looking for. With the Ready foundation it moisterizes and keeps skin moist for people with dry skin to combination and you can layer it to any finish you like from light to heavy. This also has more of a mattified look to it when applying. With the BareSkin Brightning serum foundation you can layer your foundation to whatever finish you prefer however this one seems to have an added plus like the brightening serum if you have dark spots like me you will like this foundation since you will not have to use an addtional brightening serum at night. This foundation will give you a dewy look upon application. All in all if your up to it go to your local boutique and try it out your self to see if you like. I love it!

Hello: I've been a long time original formula foundation user but then switched to the ready foundation when that product came out. While I liked the ready foundation better because it was less messy so for me easier to use, I've always preferred a liquid foundation so you can imagine my excitement when I heard about bareSkin. I purchased the bareSkin when it came out and I can only tell you how much I love it. The results, I think, are way better than the powder. I'm able to control the amount and I think it goes on smoother and the skin feels amazing. The color also matches me better especially when season changes. Before this summer, I used a drop of linen plus a drop of natural (I was between colors), and now that I've had a little bit of sun, I use two drops of natural only. Hope this helps you! All I can say is, go and get a color match (Sephora does a good job) and give it a try.
