bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20 - null 4.3 5 294 294
Not for Oily Skin I was colored matched with this at the boutique when I went in for my matte foundation. In the winter/spring I wear golden tan but I find it to be too light in the summer. So, I was asked if I tried this before and that the colors are different. First, he took the foundation and dabbed all over my face with the brush. Far more than the 2 drops the commercial points out. When he was done the color was perfect and I felt it looked good. I went back to work and went into the bathroom under the neon lights and I was mortified. I was streaky. I sat at my desk and from just regular face touching there was makeup everywhere! All over my papers and desk. I went into the bathroom again and wiped as much of it as I could. I have oily skin and I"m not sure if that is why this didn't work. Also, the guy put a lot of foundation on me but it was necessary to cover some dark spots from blemishes. In any event, I returned it. If the foundation and brush were not so expensive I probably would have made do with it because I hate returning things but this was just too terrible. I recently got matched with a pressed foundation in golden dark which would be way to dark for me in the loose powders but it looks great on. I'll go back to the matte in golden tan as we go into fall and winter. 07/27/2014
All natural and beautiful I have been searching far and wide for a silicone (dimethicone) free product. I am severely allergic to it. It is the new "it" ingredient in all (most) makeup, fabulous results but horrible for you and your skin. Most organic foundations has so much oil my face would break out. I was skeptical but decided to yet again, pay for another foundation. I am so glad I did! it is the best foundation ever. No parabens, silicone, etc. It goes on soft and easy to use. Love the brush that is recommended. You can control the coverage. It reduces redness and my biggest concern, the look of pores. HOWEVER, I feel it has better results with a primer. I am disappointed that Bareescentuals does not offer a silicone free primer. Hence 4 stars. 07/27/2014
Found my all time FAV foundation with Bare!! I have saw the commercial and went to one of the boutiques around my area to see if I would ike the product. I fell instantly in love!! I have been using the foundation for over a month now and I have definitately see the difference on my skin. Such as dark spots dimishing and brightening glow. I have been purchasing Bare Minerals for about 8 years and have tried all of the different foundations the company has to offer, but WOW this one tops it. Only issue I have though I love the dewy effect it leaves on the skin after a while my skin get oily. I do have oily skin but seems to enhance it some how. Any way I have found a solution for now which is my mineral veil to take shine away. Hopefully we can get the same formula foundation but with a mattifing effect to take some shine away or keep shine away other than blotting and using mineral veil over and over again through out the day. Another thing I had issues with is that the foundations seems to rub off on clothes, I guess thats the cost for wearing liquid foundation, however with liquid foundation its inevitable. 07/24/2014
The good with the bad? When I first started using this product, I was thrilled to see that it looked like I was barely wearing makeup. It gives a fresh, dewy look that looks super natural, and I love it. I have also noticed that my skin has been clearing up since I started using it. The only complaint I have about this product is the bottle that it comes in. Mine has been leaking everywhere and getting all over my makeup bag. It makes it hard to travel with because I have to double bag my foundation. Overall... great product, terrible packaging. Can't decide if its worth it or not. 07/24/2014
Skeptical but proven wrong I've used Bare Minerals powder foundation for years now. Ever since I hit my teenage years, I've battled acne and T-zone oil. Bare Minerals has been the ONLY foundation I've used (and I've tried them all) that not only doesn't cause breakouts, but makes my skin feel healthy. When the matte came out, I was sure it couldn't get any better. I have looked at the liquid several times with the thoughts of purchasing, but the fear of breakouts kept me from buying. Last week I got a free sample and thought I'd try it just for fun. The coverage was flawless! My skin didn't feel oily or coated and my face looked more vibrant. I do think the color was a little light, most likely due to a little summer sun. However, even then I was able to blend and you couldn't tell. That sample made me decide that this is the product for me!! 07/24/2014
miracle in a bottle for the past few years i have had the worst cystic acne due to hormone inbalance, so i shifted from chemical filled foundation to more natural tinted moisturizers. i've been a josie maran tinted moisturizer addict for some time, but was curious about how this would look on especially since my acne is finally under control and felt the need to try something new. i stopped into a store barefaced and immediately loved how this product made my skin look. i barely have to use any concealer with this and my face instantly looks brighter and glowing. and that's not even the best part. aside from the fact that it lasts all day (even with the louisiana humidity) its actually helped any imperfections and blemishs that have popped up subside! it could be a coincidence, BUT this product is the only thing in my skincare regimen that has changed. its definitely worth the money and with only a few drops for light to medium coverage, i know that this will last a long time. my little sister has started wearing makeup and is going through the awesome hormones of a teenager and this is the only foundation i will buy for her. keep this product around bare escentuals! i'm in love with it! 07/23/2014
BEST EVER!! I've never been able to find a product that covers my tone flaws and still look natural. On the first try with bareSkin it covered my imperfections yet looked natural. And Lasted soooo long!! Love it...thank you BareMinerals. *plus I got a compliment from someone who hates me with makeup on....he actually thought I had no makeup on..."You look great without makeup on"* ;) 07/23/2014
Great, but needs something I was looking for a good foundation, because as I am getting older, the regular Bare Minerals seems to look cakey on my skin. So, I have been making my own foundation by mixing my current (otherbrand) daycreme & tinting it with Bare Minerals. Works great, but it doesn't provide as much coverage as I would like on some days. Tried this foundation and it looks FLAWLESS! However, I have to agree with Heartbroken when she said, "it left my oily skin with a "sweaty" look. I used primer & powder to assist but I looked so oily I had to blot all day! It rubs off in clothing..." I'm buying a bottle and a brush anyway because the look was absolutely flawless and the coverage was fantastic and it's Free of so many things that I'm trying to avoid as I'm going as chemical free as possible...but would like to see the formula refined so I don't look sweaty, and so it doesn't rub off all over my clothes :/ However, it's still the best alternative makeup I've found so far. Great job, Bare MInerals, but keep refining this one. Can't wait to see your final product! :) 07/20/2014
made me break out:\ but I LOVE it:\ LOVED how it looked on me BUT it did start to make me break out really bad. So now I only use it once a week. 07/20/2014
Good Stuff! Really Suprised.....I got a sample of this at a boutique. Really hesitant to use liquid again. Been using traditional BM foundation for a few years now. Even before I found BM I was only using translucent powder as a base. I only used liquids if I had a breakout or something. I tried this product and was honestly very surprised. So surprised that I am going to purchase full size and use for a while. Was not heavy. No makeup feel. Gave a nice even "dewey" look. Lasted well ALL DAY. Not saying I won't switch back and forth, but never thought I'd buy liquid again. Give this stuff a try! 07/18/2014

It has been to my knowledge that neither minerals nor SPF are camera friendly, so I believe I already know that answer to this question. But due to those ingredients, will I receive a flashback in photos or would you suggest this for brides? Or you would honestly suggest a professional foundation better suited for photography.

Thank you.

I'm curious for feedback from my fellow Bare Minerals loyal users. I began with Bare Minerals Original formula foundation but upon trying the Ready Foundation I fell in love with the Ready Foundation and use it loyally. I am curious about Bare Skin Brightening Serum but not sure if I will get the same results. So I'd like to know what other Bare Minerals users have found when comparing the two.

There is no better. It really depends what exactly Your looking for. With the Ready foundation it moisterizes and keeps skin moist for people with dry skin to combination and you can layer it to any finish you like from light to heavy. This also has more of a mattified look to it when applying. With the BareSkin Brightning serum foundation you can layer your foundation to whatever finish you prefer however this one seems to have an added plus like the brightening serum if you have dark spots like me you will like this foundation since you will not have to use an addtional brightening serum at night. This foundation will give you a dewy look upon application. All in all if your up to it go to your local boutique and try it out your self to see if you like. I love it!

Hello: I've been a long time original formula foundation user but then switched to the ready foundation when that product came out. While I liked the ready foundation better because it was less messy so for me easier to use, I've always preferred a liquid foundation so you can imagine my excitement when I heard about bareSkin. I purchased the bareSkin when it came out and I can only tell you how much I love it. The results, I think, are way better than the powder. I'm able to control the amount and I think it goes on smoother and the skin feels amazing. The color also matches me better especially when season changes. Before this summer, I used a drop of linen plus a drop of natural (I was between colors), and now that I've had a little bit of sun, I use two drops of natural only. Hope this helps you! All I can say is, go and get a color match (Sephora does a good job) and give it a try.

I would suggest Bare Shell (02) or Bare Satin (06) because they are cool tones (Fairly Medium is a cool tone). You should check out the Foundation Shade Finder on the bareescentuals.com website (under the learn tab). You can see pictures of what the shades look like here.

I am 55 years old and have used your famous powder foundation, plus other products for several years now. However due to lots of sun damage the powder is really setting into my lines and wrinkles. I have been wishing for a liquid line from your company! Thank you. Haven't bought it yet. Over the past several years I have sadly developed large pores, and hormonal chin acne. I also have very yellow undertones to my olive skin
So I am curious as to what color to choose. Also I am not giving up on the regular bare mineral kit because I still love the products. I have been wearing medium, I am wondering if medium beige matte might be better for me. Now that I am not in the sun, my skin is a shade lighter. Also would appreciate advice advice on the cleanser and treatment for large pores. Thank you so very much! Gratefully, Claudette Granata :)

I use a primer before I apply it, and use about 2 to 3 drops of the foundation. I put it on in a circular motion like the video demonstrates. Am I doing something wrong?

I believe Bareskin foundation is not meant to be used with a primer. Try with moisturizer only. Also, it could have the settling look due to the wrong shade. On me it looked dry on my cheeks but I switched shades and it looks great. Good luck!

Hello. I have very sensitive skin with dry patches especially around the chin area. I find that as long as I exfoliate, then apply moisturizer, primer (wait til it dries), and then buff in the BareSkin foundation, it blends in nicely without patches. I also prefer to build in the foundation, use a drop or 2, and add if needed because my entire face may not need the same amount. Perhaps an excess of the product might not get absorbed and just sits on the surface making it pasty?

I wear Light in the Bare Mineral Foundation and Bare Satin (06) in the BareSkin. I found that it truly is best though to go to a store to get shade matched. If you don't have a BE boutique, Ulta, or Sephora near you, Bare Minerals has samples online that you can get with a purchase.

I noticed that I should NEVER shake the container until I take the LID OFF! If you shake BEFORE you take it off, it DOES go all over in the lid. So, Take the lid off, put your finger over the top and then shake well. THEN put a drop on your brush! I sure wish there had been directions for this, because I wasted a bunch of it by shaking the bottle with the lid on. GOOD LUCK!

I haven't had that problem. I squeeze about halfway up the bottle. Since I am putting it into the recommended brush, I am holding the bottle straight up and down. You do have to squeeze relatively hard.
