Yellow Eyecolor - null
Not what I am looking for
I have tried all the matte yellow shades and am not happy with any of them. I wanted to find a deep gold-ish color to use in my creases. The only yellow's that are not sheen are very light, much lighter than what the photos show. I am one of the many that I read on here that does not like the sheen. I wish so much you would have more matte options, especially in the neutrals. Due to my dark circles, I stay away from greens, blues, pinks and purples. I really like warm neutrals. I use pebble and am happy with that, but would love to get a deep matte goldish color.
Nice color, but too much shimmer!! Disco ball, anyone?!
bareMineral eye shadows are beautiful colors, but for my taste, the majority of their eye shadows are just too shiny, shimmery and glittery. Even the matte shadows are loaded with sparkle, a subtle presence is nice, even helpful, but the majority of the bareMineral eye shadows contain too much, in my opinion. As a younger woman, I would have felt comfortable wearing some of these shadows, but not so much now and I have been blessed to look about ten to fifteen years younger than I am, but I have decided to take a pass.
It's wonderful - exactly what I wanted it to be - a little shimmer, a highlighter - just great for everyday wear.
I got the Beauty Queens trio as a gift, which included Queen Phyllis. I love this color! I wouldn't describe it as "buttercup" really. Its more of a very fair nude with a gorgeous shimmer (actually, its very close to my skin tone -- I use Fair, the very lightest BM foundation). It goes on light and gives more shimmer than actual color. I use it to brighten my look, either by placing it in the inner corner of the lid, or by brushing it over another color to lighten it up and add a subtle hint of gold.
True Gold is a winner
I paired Queen Phyllis (all over) with True Gold (in the crease) and the effect was stunning. I've used True Gold with Nude Beach before and liked it, but the pairing with Queen Phyllis really popped.
Loved queen phyllis eye color. It's perfect, not to yellow, not to white. Sparky, goes good with brightening primer, chameleon eye color or with any brown shades.
Love this eyeshadow!!
I bought True Gold. At first I was a little bit nervous that it would be too overwhelming to the eye since it is a yellow color and how bold it is from the package. But when I put it on, it was very subtle and I loved how it looked on my eye and it was just gorgeous! I will be purchasing this eyeshadow again in the future when I run out from my current one!
I purchased this color in "queen Phyllis" and I found a gem! This is the absolute perfect highlight color for right on the brow bone and also to brighten up your eyes by smudging in the tear duct area. I even use it as a highlight on the tops of my cheekbones. This color is a must have, no matter if you are doing a neutral or bright eye look. Oh, and this definitely is not a yellow color, it doesn't really have a color, mostly just shimmer.
Decent, yellow shade..my new yellow
I received this Eyecolor (Queen Phyllis) as a gift from sephora, and what do I say about this beautiful shade... It's shimmery, perfect shimmer(not too much, not too less) ..classy yet with a hint of color, yes COLOR!! This is a must try product.. You won't regret.. :)
Love the customer service and not to mention, all the products from BARE.. :)
Thank you SEPHORA..getting ready for a party tonight.. ;)
Although I still love my NYC, NYX and Profusion eye colors, I finally invested in some powder eye color and it just looks so great! I haven't had it crease or smear all day and it just blends so well! It takes a little getting used to, especially with the occasional fallout, but I'm able to finally get that airbrushed eye look I've been trying for. The brushes help a whole lot too.
