Q & A

Well-Rested Eye Brightener Broad Spectrum SPF 20 4.5 5 51 51
Awesome for under eyes! I apply this with a soft focus brush underneath my eyes after applying my mineral veil. I love how it brightens up my eye area and makes my under eye circles look less visible. A little goes a long way! 08/09/2015
Not For Me Dark circles are my worst enemy, and I really wanted to find something to not only mask mine but also give it that lighter glow. In hindsight, this sounds perfect. It's lightweight and definitely brightens up your eye area. Sadly, it just didn't work out for me. For some reason, the powder made creases I didn't know I had appear. I also didn't feel like it covered up my dark circles at all and the brightening affect didn't look as good as I had hoped. I ended up exchanging it for the Correcting Concealer and am really glad I did. Would recommend that over this. 07/20/2015
Not so well rested! My experience with the Well-Rested Eye Brightener Broad Spectrum SPF 20 was the exact opposite of what it is intended to do. I never looked “well rested,” except when I had a good night sleep. Sorry, but that is the honest, unvarnished truth and outcome. 06/19/2015
Works great, but not alone I love using this with my Stroke of Light to conceal my dark circles completely. Only reason I can't give all 5 stars is because it doesn't seem to work on my skin by itself, but with the brightener it's awesome! 06/18/2015
works great! love it I bought this item after seeing it on the website and reading all the great reviews. I absolutely love it! I think it brightens my eyes and looks great. I've got a baby on the way and hope it will continue to help during those sleepless nights. Would definitely recommend! 06/18/2015
I look awake! I am not a morning person and some mornings I look like the cat drug me out of bed. With this product, some brow powder and mascara my eyes look like I'm bright eyed and awake. Never highlights the creases and keeps me from getting asked if I'm not feeling well that day. Tried the liquid version but came back to the minerals. Great product. 06/04/2015
Beautiful, Illuminates, No Sparkles I bought this originally to use to cover up the bluish dark circles under my eyes, but now I also use it as a base color for eyes. It provides a beautiful base color that illuminates without sparkles. Using it for dark circles, I have found that less is more -- only tap out a few sprinkles of powder and tap the brush before applying it. 05/09/2015
Love this product I use this under all my eye color, but also on those days when I don't want a lot of make up and use this with just eye liner It brightens my eyelids by just the right amount to look natural. 04/26/2015
Covers well this is a perfect eye brightener I just love it! 01/08/2015
CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT Contouring is what everyone seems to be doing in regards to makeup, and unfortunately, bareminerals--which is the only brand I can use without breaking out--doesn't have a contouring kit. So instead, I bought this product to use not only under my eyes, but everywhere you would normally use the light contour. IT'S GREAT! It even lasts through a three hour sweating gym session. I basically make a triangle under my eyes with the point being the top of my lip, the ball of my chin and under my bottom lip, and on the bridge of my nose. I then use bronzer for the dark contour and use the Original Foundation to blend it all together. My everyday make up takes about ten minutes =) Oh and I use the concealer brush to apply this product 01/08/2015

I've heard great things about this. I often get dark circles under my eyes due to lack of sleep (thanks college), but if this doubles as a concealer it's a must have! So, does it?

Works great for concealing color from acne or scars. I don't think it would conceal pores or 'holes' in the skin.

I'm new to the world of makeup and new to BM as well and lately I've been really liking the conturing and highlighting look. I've heard that well-rested eye brightener works for highlighting? i mean can an eye brightener be used for highlighting other areas other than the eye area?

YES YES YES! It's kind of fun to play around and experiment with this product.
I use it in my inner eyes, down the center of my nose, cheekbones, cupids bow and around my lips. Play around with it. You'll love it!

Hi AriaAnchorage Ak,

As a loyal user of the Stroke of Light Eye Brightener, I would say using it for coverage on other areas of the face than the eye area may not really hold up when compared to some of the cheek tints, etc. It is just the right amount of highlight for smaller areas such as the far and near corners of the eyes. Even wiping a longer stroke and blending from the corner of the eyes downwards I find helps contour and narrow the nose bridge. I have heard of some using it in the cupid's bow to provide subtle highlight there.

I use a Flawless Face brush to apply this - maybe the size of this brush is a bit overkill, but it works. I use the same Swirl & Tap process that BE suggests, and then I close each eye and lightly buff it both underneath and over the eyelid. After that, I use my fingers to squeeze the brush into a thick line and get up to the eyelashes for all around brightness.

Just as you would any of the items - take a small brush (I like the baby buki) take a small amount of well-rested and swirl and tap. Just lightly brush over each eyelid. You're done!

The consultant suggested a large eye blending brush. I was not looking to purchase a brush, but glad I did. The blending brush is easy to apply gently all around the eye.

I use a small full flawless face brush(mini sized) and do large circles around the entire up from under the circle to just under the brow. That is the technique they use in the boutiques.

Use one of the BM brushes and apply to upper and lower areas above the eye and below. You will be truly surprised at how well it extends the wear of your eye shadow and eye liner after application as well as lightening and evening out your colors.

Hi,

I'm not sure if someone's answered this or not, but I'm gonna give it a go! You can use a small powder brush of your choice, preferably a soft bristled one so the product spreads easier and isn't so harsh on your face. I've been using the product anywhere I want to highlight. I know it says it's for your under eyes, but it does wonders all over your face. Try using a small brush and putting it underneath your eyes and blending out toward the top of your cheekbone as well as down toward your nose. You can put it on the bridge of your nose, bow of your lips, inner corner of your eyes and your brow bone, too. Have fun with it!! xo

in the same way as foundation powder (slight-medium coverage). But let me to advise you to try this product in the store to see if it fits you. I also wanted to buy this but when I tryed this I saw it is too light for me, I looked like the panda with this, though my tone of the skin is fairly-light . Also "Well Rested" accentuated all wrinkles under my eyes. But some people love this, so it is better to try this before purchase

Since you have super sensitive skin, you may have to try a few different things. The Correcting concealer (the creamy version) works well under my eyes to even out skin tone, as does the Stroke of Light. The Well Rested Powder does some concealing, but in my experience it does not last all-day without either the concealer or Stroke of Light underneath.

Concealer means it will conceal - the well-rested is more for brightening. My suggestion - use well-rested on eyelids to brighten, concealer under eyes to cover the dark circles.

If you have light circles the powder well rested will work but if they are dark it will help but will not cover. My dad has dark circles and I inherited them. I used to use the stick type of concealer to cover them but with bare minerals a little goes a long way so if you have bad circles you could probably use a few dabs of the concealer and put well rested on top. That is what I do and it is not noticable at all. The well rested tends to brighten as opposed to actual concealing.

My personal choice is the Well-Rested as it not only protects the sensitive eye area; but evens out the tone of the entire area, and I brush it on the upper and lower eye areas.

If you act right away, I just purchased the Wellrested trio for only $15. You must purchase online and you will receive wellrested concealer and wellrested eye brightener and the application brush. Wellrested is my favorite product but maybe you may need a separate sunscreen. God bless you

I've purchased both concealer and the Well-Rested Eye Brightener, and I find that Well-Rested works sooooo much better for me than the concealer. I use the "Maximum Coverage Face Brush." This brush helps TREMENDOUSLY in covering things up. It's much better than the "Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush."

Hi Brynn,
I suggest the Well-Rested SPF 20 Eye Brightener (loose shadow version) for dark under-eye circles. I have all three products: the powdered concealer, the powdered Well-Rested, and the liquid Well-rested. The concealer is really great for red marks, sun marks, or pimples. It neutralizes the color and works well under a foundation. If you have acne or get zits, it's a great thing to try! The Well-Rested Brightener (powder) lightens dark places and provides good coverage. The liquid version does not work as well for me (less brightening, less coverage, harder to apply). If you wanted to choose only one product that works really well for dark eye circles, I highly recommend the Well-rested SPF 20 loose powder shadow. I also have very sensitive skin, so much so that I cannot wear all BM products (e.g. eyelid primer, big and bright eye liner, etc), but the products you're asking about work really well for me. Hope this helps!

So many BM products sound like they might be gluten-free but scientific names are not easy to determine if they are gluten-free unless sources are given. It is necessary to know what products contain gluten for millions in the US alone. No concealers are listed under your "products containing gluten" but I wonder if the list needs updating. Thank you.
