ORIGINAL Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 - null 4.7 5 256 258
Love love love This product... My gosh. You need this in your life. I absolutely hate liquid foundations, all of them seem to make my face super oily and patchy, even though my skin is not oily at all. They also feel so heavy on your face and I hate that cakey look. I was going and spending 45 plus dollars trying to find a good foundation that didn't look super cakey but still had enough coverage and someone recommended this to me. I never even thought of buying this foundation because it was powder but I thought why not and gave it a try. This stuff is my favorite seriously! It makes my skin look so beautiful and natural and covers up what it needs to cover. It doesn't look cakey. It looks like my skin but better which I love! 04/23/2016
Been using this product for years I've used the Original foundation in the lightest shade they make for well over 10 years for my very fair skin. It's the only foundation I'll even use anymore. I can't stand the cakey feeling of liquid and cream foundations that are never fair enough for my skin any way. Especially when my skin is extra sensitive, like when I've over exfoliated or I'm breaking out, this foundation has always been very gentle. I think it has great coverage for the cost. 04/19/2016
I love this product I have loved bare minerals powder foundation for years. I hesitated to try it until a dermatologist recommended it. It's been over 9 years and I won't use anything else. My skin looks great, I get complimented often, and my break outs are rare. I appreciate that it looks natural on my skin and I can vary how much coverage I think I need. I also love that the days of a makeup line along my chin line are long gone. I also use all of the foundation and makeup products on my 11-year-old daughter when she performs on stage. Her skin looks perfect and never causes any sensitivity issues, which we both appreciate! 04/09/2016
Really great foundation!! I am back to using Baremineralss after 10+ year hiatus. I am in my mid-40s & while I have combination skin. This covers very well, is creamy & does not age me at all. Love it! If I am experiencing a some troublesome oily spots, I put a little matte version on top of this. Happy with this product. 04/09/2016
Amazing Foundation well what can i say i have been using bare minerals since 2008 and let me say this is the Best foundation for you skin. I have tried other products and notice my skin would breakout. when i would use bar minerals i've never had a breakout or skin problems, so when they say its good for your skin and dermatologist recommend it i see why. I will never use no other foundation unless its bare minerals. This foundation gives great, Natural coverage makes your skin look luminous and healthy, no one will ever know you have it on, And a little goes a long way. So if your looking for something that will give you that natural and wont make you breakout then this is the foundation for you. 04/07/2016
The BEST Foundation I have ever used! I am in love with this foundation, and have been for the past few years. It makes my skin look amazing. It evens all my tones out and brightens my face! Never have had a problem with making my face look too oily or dry.. I Highly recommend this foundation. 04/02/2016
AMAZING FOUNDATION!!! I am a huge fan of Complexion Rescue but wanted something I could add to it on days I wanted a little more coverage. I don't know why I waited so long to try the Original Foundation but now that I finally did, I cannot believe how fantastic my skin looks!!! I am blown away by the coverage and the glow my skin has and all the while it looks so natural! I am 62 with a few fine lines but not many thanks to years of sunscreen. Neither of these makeup's settle into the fine lines I do have. I was a Clinique fan for years and then tried some of the other department store and drugstore brands as well. I wanted to go with a healthier brand without chemicals and additives like BareMinerals. I am so glad I did and have never looked back. I can't say enough about their new skin care line and their make up. I can't wait to see what new products they come up with in the future! I am one happy customer:) 03/31/2016
Best Cosmetics Purchase Ever After trial and error with various foundations (from various companies), I have found this one from Bare Minerals to be the best. At first I was worried that I'd have to buy a container every month. After using it, I realized that I didn't use so much of it. Just a little. The results were incredible. I have rosacea and small zits around my cheeks, that were instantly covered up. Just a little of this foundation and my skin looked naturally beautiful. It didn't even look like I was wearing makeup. 03/10/2016
Can't go wrong with the Original I am a BareMinerals junkie. But I have to say the Original foundation is a staple in my makeup bag. It's perfect for all skin types and weather. I can wear it in the winter and I can wear it on a hot summer Arizona day. 03/08/2016
covers literally anything. I have pretty bad post acne hyperpigmentation. There are lots of small red marks some darker than others that literally not even 4 layers of kat von d tattoo foundation could cover. Plus that just made me look cakey and by the end of the day my makeup was flaking off my cheeks and it was just gross. I bought this on a whim because Bare Minerals has been awesome in the past, tried it with the buffing brush, and it covered my marks in 2 layers. It looks so natural and you can't even tell I'm wearing makeup. It cut down my time getting ready in the morning by at least a half hour. (Using a foundation brush is tedious) If you're on the fence about buying this, get it. It's worth every single penny and has made me so much more confident in my skin!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ 03/07/2016

I went on a website and it shows for me that the light beige in the Diorskin is next to the Ivory. The Ivory and the Light Beige are very light colors, buts yours just has some neutral undertones to it compared to the Ivory. Since I do not have a picture of you, my guess would be to try the foundation called Fairly Light in bareMinerals.

Fairly Light gives the description of being for porcelain-to-light skin with neutral undertones. Just like your Diorskin Forever foundation. I hope that helps!

I have extremely dry skin and put my moisturizer on about 15 to 30 min prior to my foundation. I seem to get cakey spots on my face. I noticed that even with out using moisturizer I get the spots, just not as bad. I thought it was because it's a powder, but I had the same issue when using a liquid foundation from cover girl. That was why I switched to bare minerals. What can I do.
P.S. I ordered your bareskin several days ago in hopes that it would be better for me.

Is there a reason you wait 15 to 30 minutes between moisturizer and foundation application? It has been my experience that you should put your foundation on immediately after moisturizer. It helps the foundation set and stay put.

I suspect that the bareskin moisturizer will be very helpful for your skin dryness. I love it on my skin. Please try applying your foundation immediately after the bareskin and see if that solves your problem. I'd be interested to know if this helps!

Hey Hun,
Gotta say, I feel you. In my experience when you get the Cakey spots from make up, your moisturizer might a) be the wrong type for your kin, or b) you might be using too much. If it option a, then try switching brand or moisturizing types. If it is option b, try applying about a dime sized dollop to your whole face And down your neck. Most people don't think to ply thier moisturizers anywhere but the face, when they should apply under the chin and down the neck as well.
Hope this helps!

With the the foundation that you just ordered make sure you are swirling it on to your face and it the cap because before you may have been layering your skin which would give it a cakey look. Trust me you will love bare minerals. I have been using it for 7 months now and i love it

original is slightly luminous. it has somewhat of a shimmer. some notice, some don't, but the matte is just that. no shimmer, and seems to absorb more oil without going shiny

A:
Original has a natural luminous finish that will enhance those with combo/dry or dry skin types. The matte helps to absorb excess oil, and leave a matte finish instead of a luminous one on the skin. The best way for you to decide is to first consider your skin type. Then visit a boutique, Sephora, or Ulta and allow them to put you in the foundation that best suits your skin needs.

I really want to love this and sometimes it looks good but often it looks heavy in places and very shiny esp on my nose. Or at times I see all of the pores on my nose. What am I doing wrong?

There are a number of questions I need to ask you before I can help give you the advice you seek. Of course, the best answer is for you to visit a boutique and have a BM makeup artist work with you to perfect the look you want. Here are the questions I would ask you. 1. What is your skin care routine and are you consistently doing it? 2. What is your skin type and are you using the right products for it? 3. Have you tried the Prime Time primer underneath the foundation? 4. What brushes are you using to create your look?

You're not putting the mineral veil on all over your face or either you don't brush around the foundation evenly

It depends. Do you want additional coverage or just a setting powder? If additional coverage is wanted you can use the mineral foundation on top of your liquid. If you just want a light setting powder than Mineral Veil is perfect!

I find it hard to get all of the product out of the container with the sifter cover. With the old cover, you could remove it to get the rest of the product out. Is there a way to remove the sifter portion of the container?

Yes you can. I used a butter knife to pry the edges up or you could use your nails.

I have used a needle nose pliers to remove the sifter cover. You can grab the cover from the edges or put it in the sifter holes. It sometimes tears the cover a little so it will come out in pieces. It is difficult to do, but not impossible. Good luck and watch out so you don't spill the product in the process!

A:
You can mix in a tiny bit of an All Over Face color to help make the Fairly Light a little darker. Warmth is a great color, but there is also a color called a Touch of Sun. Warmth is darker and the Touch of Sun is more subtle. In the winter, you can mix in some of the Light foundation to make it work for you. The great thing about mixing is that it makes your regular foundation last longer. Good luck!

Hi there, i have always used the medium beige shade as was recommended to me by the beautician selling your products a few years ago. Only I have noticed this winter it seems too dark with a slightly orange tint. Which shade is the best one to be one step lighter? I noticed the others have pink undertones but the one i have been using is neutral, would medium be ok in this case?

I use medium beige in the summer when I have a tan and then fairly light in the winter when I am pale. They both have the same undertones, so they match my skin.
