Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it I have been using this for over 20 yrs. Best foundation ever & you don't need alot. Lasts for about 5 months used daily. 10/25/2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Natural Gorgeous Coverage My skin can't handle any other foundation simply because most others have bad ingredients. I've been using BM for years and it gives great coverage (if blended correctly) and a gorgeous healthy glow. The coverage is delicate, just enough for me since I hate, hate makeup that looks caked. I mainly apply it to any redness on my face, cheeks, nose, and chin. 10/17/2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Clean, fresh coverage. I love the fairly medium. In my 50s and this gives very nice, clean coverage. I was using medium but changed to just go a little lighter and covers well. 10/03/2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best foundation. Ever. I have been using BM original foundation for nearly ten years. When I began using the foundation, my skin was uneven in color and texture. And I was prone to breakouts-even as an adult. Changing to BM has improved the condition of my skin overall and I have much fewer breakouts. I love this foundation because it looks natural, and your skin looks naturally glowing. I have tried the matte version, but for women who are not so young anymore, or who don't have naturally radiant skin, the matte version can make your skin look dull. I heard a rumor that the original foundation line may be discontinued and I hope this is not true because this is the absolute best product on the market. Please keep this product. There is nothing else like it and nothing else I want to wear. 10/02/2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by My old standby I started using this product 4 years ago with a try-it-and-buy-it radio offer, and I have yet to find anything I like better. This foundation has great coverage, especially for a powder, and leaves even my always-breaking out skin looking glowing and healthy. I feel like years are lifted away from my face every time I use it. I doubt I'll ever switch. 09/30/2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Best Have used this foundation for years. Simply the best. Recently tried some new liquid foundations from other companies, and I was quickly reminded why I love this so much. By the end of the day with the liquids it was the same old story. It was separating and all over, and my face broke out. I will continue to only use BareMinerals mineral foundation. The original is still my absolute favorite. 09/03/2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great product , packaging needs improvement Provides great coverage and lasts all day. The container lid does not come off unless you're willing to pull out the pliers resulting in wasting powder. 09/02/2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Never fails When I finally ran out of my Bare Minerals Powder foundation while living in a foreign country, I tried all kinds of other options. I spent so much money trying other products only to be disappointed each and every time. Lesson learned. From now on I spend my money on what I know works beautifully with my skin and complexion. Thank you, Bare Minerals, for a truly fabulous product! 08/31/2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Original Foundation user for life! I have been using Original Foundation for 16 years. When I first tried it, my skin was in really bad condition. I had constant breakouts and a lot of redness. I tried numerous products and spent a lot of money, but all these products only made my skin condition worse. Then one day I saw your infomercial and my husband said, "Why don't you order it?" I am so glad I did. With the first application, the original foundation was like a healing balm to my sensitive skin. I was amazed at how it easy it was to use and how it covered the redness and breakouts. It felt so light on my face and looked so natural. As I continued to use it, my skin began to heal. Even now at 61 people still tell me I have beautiful skin. I am a user for life! Thanks Leslie! 08/20/2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing! This product is worth every penny! It makes me feel so beautiful when I wear it! I covers every flaw, while feeling like I am not even wearing any makeup. So in love with this product! 08/13/2016

Hi! My body is really tan (Medium Tan) and my face is more (Medium beige ) right now. What do you suggest I do to make this blend? Should I just use the medium beige and blend it with my faux tan bronzer? Thanks!

I absolutely love the way bareMinerals Original Foundation makes my skin look, but it's already fading 4-5 hours later. I use a primer and Mineral Veil after applying the foundation, but that doesn't seem to help. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to increase the longevity of this makeup?

I am also curious if there is an expiration date for the mineral veil and the bronzer in the powder form because I do not see one posted on these products

Answer:
I went on a website and it shows for me that the light beige in the Diorskin is next to the Ivory. The Ivory and the Light Beige are very light colors, buts yours just has some neutral undertones to it compared to the Ivory. Since I do not have a picture of you, my guess would be to try the foundation called Fairly Light in bareMinerals.

Fairly Light gives the description of being for porcelain-to-light skin with neutral undertones. Just like your Diorskin Forever foundation. I hope that helps!

I have extremely dry skin and put my moisturizer on about 15 to 30 min prior to my foundation. I seem to get cakey spots on my face. I noticed that even with out using moisturizer I get the spots, just not as bad. I thought it was because it's a powder, but I had the same issue when using a liquid foundation from cover girl. That was why I switched to bare minerals. What can I do.
P.S. I ordered your bareskin several days ago in hopes that it would be better for me.

Answer:
Is there a reason you wait 15 to 30 minutes between moisturizer and foundation application? It has been my experience that you should put your foundation on immediately after moisturizer. It helps the foundation set and stay put.

I suspect that the bareskin moisturizer will be very helpful for your skin dryness. I love it on my skin. Please try applying your foundation immediately after the bareskin and see if that solves your problem. I'd be interested to know if this helps!

Answer:
Hey Hun,
Gotta say, I feel you. In my experience when you get the Cakey spots from make up, your moisturizer might a) be the wrong type for your kin, or b) you might be using too much. If it option a, then try switching brand or moisturizing types. If it is option b, try applying about a dime sized dollop to your whole face And down your neck. Most people don't think to ply thier moisturizers anywhere but the face, when they should apply under the chin and down the neck as well.
Hope this helps!

Answer:
With the the foundation that you just ordered make sure you are swirling it on to your face and it the cap because before you may have been layering your skin which would give it a cakey look. Trust me you will love bare minerals. I have been using it for 7 months now and i love it

Answer:
Matte is going to give you more coverage. Think about a matte photo...its flat versus glossy. In no way does the original make you have a glossy look, but using the matte foundation will give you more coverage.

Answer:
original is slightly luminous. it has somewhat of a shimmer. some notice, some don't, but the matte is just that. no shimmer, and seems to absorb more oil without going shiny

Answer:
Original has a natural luminous finish that will enhance those with combo/dry or dry skin types. The matte helps to absorb excess oil, and leave a matte finish instead of a luminous one on the skin. The best way for you to decide is to first consider your skin type. Then visit a boutique, Sephora, or Ulta and allow them to put you in the foundation that best suits your skin needs.

There are a number of questions I need to ask you before I can help give you the advice you seek. Of course, the best answer is for you to visit a boutique and have a BM makeup artist work with you to perfect the look you want. Here are the questions I would ask you. 1. What is your skin care routine and are you consistently doing it? 2. What is your skin type and are you using the right products for it? 3. Have you tried the Prime Time primer underneath the foundation? 4. What brushes are you using to create your look?

Answer:
It depends. Do you want additional coverage or just a setting powder? If additional coverage is wanted you can use the mineral foundation on top of your liquid. If you just want a light setting powder than Mineral Veil is perfect!

I find it hard to get all of the product out of the container with the sifter cover. With the old cover, you could remove it to get the rest of the product out. Is there a way to remove the sifter portion of the container?

Yes you can. I used a butter knife to pry the edges up or you could use your nails.

Answer:
I have used a needle nose pliers to remove the sifter cover. You can grab the cover from the edges or put it in the sifter holes. It sometimes tears the cover a little so it will come out in pieces. It is difficult to do, but not impossible. Good luck and watch out so you don't spill the product in the process!
