Q & A

READY Blush - null 4.4 5 31 31
The Confession looks beautifully natural with Medium skin tones I have used (and sold) many pressed blushes over the years but I love this product! This is a high-quality pressed powder that doesn't flake out or overfill your brush or too much color on cheeks. (I use the BE contour brush to apply because I like the control this brush offers.) Nicely frames your face with a natural-looking color... not overly shimmery. This shade can also be used as a great contour without being too dark or sultry. Blush works nicely with BareMinerals powder foundation and Complexion Rescue. Very happy with the case, mirror and amount of product. Re-ordering more today! 07/16/2015
Please bring back The Tease! I loved this blush. I have trouble finding anything that doesn't break me out on my cheeks. I have super oily skin and normally all my blush just oils off unless I do a lot and then it wears off during the day. I loved the tease color but when I'm almost out I go to the store to discover they are all out. This is truly a mistake! Please bring it back! I got French Kiss but I'm scared to try it because after I tried it in the store it broke me out. I need some more tease please please bring it back!!! 07/14/2015
READY Blush I did return this (READY Blush - Shade: The Aphrodisiac) but only because the color was way off and not at all complimentary to my skin tone. Otherwise, this is not a bad blush. Blame operator error on this one. 06/19/2015
Gorgeous color! This is an awesome blush! I have not tried the loose mineral blushes (this is my first ever BE blush) but based on how much I like this one, I think I will very soon. The Aphrodisiac is a great color for my fairly light skin, and all I need is one swipe up each cheek and it lasts all day! Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I don't know how well it compares to the loose blushes. 06/19/2015
Bring back the Tease The Tease was the best color. I have looked for a replacement and can not find anything as good. 06/06/2015
Beautiful Intense and Natural Color! This blush gives an intense , but natural color! It blends well with my skin. 05/26/2015
Not My Favorite The blush seems really thick and doesn't blend well into my skin. I thought it would be more like a compressed powder blush, and its really more like a cream blush (that may have been my fault for not reading about the product). I love BE and their products. Some people may love this blush, but i think i'll stick to the loose powder blushes from now on. 12/28/2014
The Natural High This color is absolutely amazing. I love the way it goes on and you can pick the intensity lighter or darker. I hope that this is a color that keep because it looks great. 12/21/2014
Irritation After an hour or two the place where I applied this blush made my face feel hot, swollen on just one part where I applied it. I was also hoping for more of a rosey "just came out of snow" look instead it seemed to bring out too much of my acne. 12/16/2014
Perfect color and a little goes a long way I used the loose blush in the past from BM but found it messy. The solid blush is perfect and I have had my compact over a year and it hardly has a dent in it after wearing it everyday. I have naturally pink cheeks and this adds the perfect amount of color to my skin. Love the consistency, color, and packaging. 12/07/2014

I loved the Ready Blush in The Whisper, but it appears to have been discontinued. Can anyone recommend a comparable color? The One was too pink for me. I am 46 years old and just want a nice hint of color, not too much or too young. I have light-medium skin tone; use Medium Original Foundation. Also, I am considering The Aphrodisiac for a change. Thoughts? Thank you BE fans!!

Aphrodisiac is beautiful on such a huge range of skin tones, it's more of a peachy/coral tone so it still has a bit of pink to it which helps brighten and liven up the skin. Although I'm not familiar with The Whisper, I would suggest maybe trying golden gate blush. It's not in the ready formula but it's more of a natural golden rose tone which will complement your neutral skin tone.

Do you use it like the Ready foundation and "tap" or pull the brush across like I've done for drugstore blush?

You should treat it just like the ready foundation. Just put the flat part of the brush into the foundation, then wiggle the brush and apply. There are videos on the application process if you are having trouble!

I pull the brush across and I just do a little at a time until I get the color I want. I think it works best that way

This blush sounds amazing! But I don't know which color to pick haha. Could someone please give me some advice? I have extremely fair skin and a cool complexion. My hair is ash-blonde and I have blue eyes. I like my makeup to be sheer and natural. Thanks for your time!

What type of foundation do you use? Liquid, cream, mineral? That might affect what type of products you can wear on your skin.
I even used ELF a very cheap drugstore brand to contour and apply blush, strangely that never gave me a rash or broke me out. Except maybe this blush has some ingredient in it that gives rashes... Rarely.
If you have trouble with blushes, try the almay one, the one I use is nyx's blushes and elf.

Comparing the two blushes I noticed that the READY Blush has a lot more ingredients than the loose powder blush. I don't know if this is very helpful, but I would say that maybe you're allergic to one or more of the ingredients in the READY Blush. My best guess would be to go to a pharmacist or your doctor to have the rash checked out if you already haven't. I hope this was helpful at least in some way!

After trying the READY foundation, & loving it, I'd like to try READY Blush. I'm 56 yrs. old, use Clear Radiance, but haven't worn Blush in many yrs. As I've aged, I've found that my usual shades of Blush appear too "theatrical". I wear READY foundation in Light & that's perfect for me. What shade would be best for me? My skin tone is light with yellowish undertones; sallow looking. I'd appreciate any other suggestions you might have to "perk-up" my overall appearance (eye shadow colors, lip colors, etc...) I have brown eyes & my natural hair color is dark brunette with little-to-no gray. Thank you!

I'm definitely not an expert, but I would suggest "Aphrodisiac" and "The Secrets Out." The Aphrodisiac is coral/peachy and sorta glowy. With one swipe it's gives you color but nothing extravagant. I'm young; so personally I'm not a big fan of tremendous amount of color on my cheeks. :) A deeper, more grown-up version would be "The One." The Secrets Out looks like it would be an amazing color for what you described.... an everyday color, so to speak. It would go great with just about everything! As for eye color.... try The Truth 4.0. great neutral palette to start out with, the colors are warm and go with just about any eye color. The Happy Place also seems to be great for brown eyes.

I recommend you go for a peach-based blush, such as Aphrodisiac, instead of a pink-based blush. A pink or red based blush may be too flashy/theatrical. Also, after I apply my foundation, blush, bronzer, I use the mineral veil to finish it off, and it softens the look of my blush. I really think a peach blush will work best for you.
I am also a yellow-undertoned brunette with brown eyed girl, and I know what you mean about wanted to "perk-up" our simple coloring. Try out the Ready 2.0 eyeshadow palette in "15 minutes". It looks ugly/plain in the packaging, but the light pink I put from eyelid to eyebrow, and then use the darker color all over my eyelid, and VIOLA, I look classy. It stays all day/night, too! Try one of the Plum eyeliners, such as the 5pm. This is all my go-to look, and it seems pretty simple and polished/ladylike when I'm done.
Good luck!

Because you have yellowish undertones and light skin tone, I recommend The Secret's Out. I use this and I'm Golden Medium and I love this color! I have heard good reviews from those who are light skin tone and recommend this as a great "just a hint of color" color! It may look a bit dark on the computer screen, but it is LIGHT. You can layer it too for more color.

READY Blush is Matte. Eyeshadows (sheen, shimmer and high shine eye colors) are the ones with a sparkle effect to it. My fav READY blushes are The Tease which is good for daytime or afternoon and The French Kiss which is good for going out at night or to dress up your look a little more. I have Golden Dark skin, so the french kiss gives me just the color I need and each time I buff the color onto my face, it's like I'm amping up the color even more, but it's amped up gradually and not dramatically which I can really appreciate. The Whisper is VERY sheer and I would suggest that color for fair skinned complexions. On my skin, The Whisper doesn't show up hardly at all unless I were to really lay on layer after layer. Once you narrow down what blushes work for you day, afternoon, night or one for all occasions, it will really mature your makeup application experience and routine.
