Peach Eyecolor - null
Vanilla Sugar is an amazing tone corrector.
I love using vanilla sugar to tone correct all over my face. The peachy tones help correct dark circles, dark pigmentation or any ashy areas. I use it to set whatever creamy concealor I use on those areas first and it is absolutely amazing. Even using it on my face frequently this size has lasted me several months ans there is barely a dent in it:)
Loving Vanilla Sugar!
I've been wearing BE since 2006. I occasionally try others if a friend highly recommends or something gets me too curious, but never am swayed away. I am the one who sways friends successfully! I love eye shadow though don't do up my eyes like I did when I was younger. Nowadays, I enjoy wearing Well Rested with a touch of something over. I have a ton of lose and also quite a few Ready Palettes. So much fun! I recently opened a pot of Vanilla Sugar and oh boy is that gorgeous! It's considered a peach, on me it looks like a warm creamy bright neutral beige with maybe a hint toward peach and complete velvety coverage, so don't be afraid to try it if you are looking for subtle elegance. I never tire of the pure luxury that is Bare Escentuals. This is definitely one of my favorite shades. Mattes are best as you can always add a little shimmer, but can never take it out! I hope Vanilla Sugar never gets discontinued!
This is a Tan Line You want
I received a sample of "Tan Lines" from a Bare Minerals store. I used it last night for a work after hours event and it was a hit. I am dark complected and it complimented by skin tone very well. I used it as my base shadow and it made my eyes pop. Definitely more of an evening base shadow, and I used two matte shades to tone it down. But it added a subtle pop to my eyes. I am now ordering two of the shadows because I never want to be without this shadow again.
I sound like a broken record reviewing the eyeshadows purchased from BM, but it bears repeating ...
bareMineral eye shadows are beautiful colors, but for my taste, the majority of their eye shadows are just too shiny, shimmery and glittery. Even the matte shadows are loaded with sparkle!! A subtle presence is nice, even helpful, but the majority of the bareMineral eye shadows contain too much, in my opinion. As a younger woman, I would have felt comfortable wearing some of these shadows, but not so much now and I have been blessed to look about ten to fifteen years younger than I am, but I have decided to take a pass. I am not looking for "disco ball" eyes at this time. Also, echoing some of the other reviews re: the containers, I agree ... they need to go, as the waste of the product is pretty substantial.
Loving the shimmer
I just purchased Good Fortune. It is such a pretty color! It is light and shimmery gold. I use it as a base color. Some friends and I tried the colors together. I wear Fairly Light, one friend is Light, and the other is a Medium Dark skin tone. The color worked well on all three of us! We couldn't believe it was the same color because it adapted to each of our skin tones. Great product!
Notice Me Beach Look
I wear a blend of Fair & Fairly Light Original Foundation and really like In the Buff. It's an easy color to wear.
I received Tan Lines in a kit that I purchased and felt that it was a bit too coppery and dark for my pale skin. I think it would look great on someone with a nice tan or medium complexion though.
Dark Shadows... this is the perfect cover up
I use Vanilla Sugar everyday to cover the dark color on the inner corner of my eye. It is a great concealer. The peach color is awesome on correcting the blue/black that everyone has in that area. It has a slight pearl and that creates some light which equates to a younger look. I also use it under my eye (sparingly) to diffuse the look of my "not so bad" dark circles. I apply with a concealer brush and gently pat with my ring finger.
Pure has been my go to color since I became BE customer in 2003. Love it, and keep it on hand all the time! It's my base eyecolor and as someone else mentioned, it doesn't smudge much!
This is such a perfect peach for me. I'm not a shimmer person, and it's soft and more matte. The name Pure does it justice because it's a pure peach. No tangerine or pinkish here. I use this alone or with Pebble. Once you learn to use BE pot shadows and buy their shadow brushes, you won't go back to others. The colors have real staying power and don't smudge.
'Pure' is very light and subtle. I find this is the perfect "dry" primer for my lid and brow bone.
I think the picture is darker than the real product, at least what I have. It's lighter than 'Peach Puff'.
