Well-Cared For Brush Conditioning Shampoo
Well-Cared For Brush Conditioning Shampoo
Just like you need to clean your face of oils and makeup, your brushes need cleaning too! This cleanser foams well and really gets all the dirt and makeup out of the brushes and leaves them like-new again. After washing, lay brushes flat down to dry, and it takes about overnight to completely dry.
Tip: I wash my brushes about once a month, and the most-used ones a little more.
Tip: For dense brushes, it takes a little longer than overnight; make sure brushes are completely dry before using them or else you'll have to wash them again right away and your face will look cakey.
Forget the brushes
When I received a tube in my kit, I read shampoo! I washed my hair with it. My hair has never looked better, it's sleek, shiny , bright, soft and gorgeous. THANK YOU BARE MINERALS. STOP MARKETING THIS FOR BRUSHES. SELL IT AS SHAMPOO. EVEN BETTER START A LINE OF HAIR PRODUCTS
Cleans very well!
Since BareEscentuals keeps rejecting my views, I will follow their guidelines according to a legal analysis of the website's terms, as reviewed by my attorney.
This product cleans very well. Brushes are super clean, everything is wonderful. My only concern is the number of preservatives and non-cleaning agents in the ingredients. I suggest customers do a little research on those ingredients. (BareEscentuals Review Inflation Committee: please note that I did not deail price, other companies, or indicate any specific website).
By far, this is truly the best deal on preservatives you can get. Buy lots.
It's a Must Have!
This product is absolutely amazing. When you are using it, you are watching all of the make up that is in the brush coming out in the sink. Once the brushes have dried, you really feel that you have just bought new ones. It is an excellent product to use.
Excellent but expensive...
This brush cleaner does work wonders, but it is expensive for a cleaner. The only reason for the four hearts instead of five is the cost.
Cleans BE Brushes Well
I have been using this to clean all of my BE brushes for a couple of years now, and it gently and thoroughly cleans them all. It has also kept all of my brushes in really good condition. I haven't had to replace any of them, as of yet, and I haven't had a problem with any of the bristles coming out.
I love using the brush conditioner. I clean my brushes once a week and it leave my brushes looking brand new. Also when I clean them, my makeup looks even more flawless. Must buy!
Leaves your brushes so sorta nd clean after it dries and your makeup turns out flawless. It's a absolute must get!
Really essential...need this in Dubai too!
This is the best cleaner for my brushes -- the other one ('quick change') doesn't do it nearly as well!
Since I live in Dubai, I have to stock up every time I go back to States, but it's really effective and worth it...nothing else will clean your brush bristles/hairs as fast!
Every time I wash my brushes I let them dry for at least 24 hours (sometimes 36 hours) - once they're completely dry, they look and feel brand new...imagine all the makeup particles and skin cells that can build up in just a couple weeks (gross!)
I do a rinse/lather/ rinse to get the initial makeup out, then put some water in the sink with a bit of the shampoo and let it soak for 5-10 mins, then do a last lather/rinse to make sure no color is still coming out.
Really an essential :)
Makes brush care easier
Gotta confess I wasn't one of those chicks that cleaned their brushes a lot. After getting a new set, I decided I should take better care of them. Picked this up and it has definitely made brush care easier. The way I clean my brushes is like this: fill enough lukewarm water into a mug to cover the bottom and up sides a sliver, pour in a dime-sized amount of brush shampoo, fill the mug to near top with more lukewarm water. Put brushes in to soak, at least five to ten minutes, often longer, then remove them one by one and rinse under running lukewarm water to massage out any remaining color with hands. Lay flat on a towel to dry. This works incredibly well and isn't overly time-consuming. It removes powders, shadows, liner shadows, and even creamy make-up like the Buxom Stay-There shadow textures. The only thing it doesn't completely remove is the glitter. Not sure of a fix for that.
Ideally I'd like to wash my brushes once a week, but in reality that doesn't happen and often goes for much longer. Nonetheless, this shampoo has kept my brushes in great shape, doesn't smell of harsh chemicals, and I find it easy to use. I use this in tandem with the Quick Change Brush Cleaner and would rate both as must-haves for brush care. Highly recommend them both.
