Q & A

Stroke of Light Eye Brightener - null is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 108.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice coverage. This has nice coverage with a liquid foundation. It hides the dark circles under my eyes after nights of little to no sleep.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LOVE I was given this in Luminous 1 for Christmas, and I absolutely love it! It goes on pretty flawlessly and is very easy to blend with the concealer brush and my fingers. It's also not at all drying/doesn't flake but I also use moisturizer before applying. I'm trying to not wear makeup everyday, so this is really nice and easy to just dab on in the mornings when I need a little brightening. The one thing I would change about it is coverage. It's really okay by itself for me, but I can see how it might not be enough coverage for others. Granted I did receive the lightest of them all and if I ever do need a little extra, I will swipe the loose mineral makeup on top! All in all, I love this product and definitely do recommend!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good as a highlighter This brightener works great to highlight, but the dark circles under my eyes show through a tiny bit grey and the sheen appears too frosty under my eyes. For reference, I have warm tan biracial skin and use luminous 3. It works wonderful everywhere except under my eyes where I need it most. I've ordered a compact concealer to use under it to see if that will help. If you have fair skin this will probably work wonders for your eye area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Concealer and more Love this "brightener". When you type in "concealer" you get this product. I was a little concerned about ordering it the first time as I don't normally think of a concealer and brightener as the same thing. But this product does both. A light, smooth concealer that does in fact also brighten my dark spots and shadows. I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful! This eye brightener is so pretty! It provides a modest amount of coverage to hide dark bags or imperfections, and the amount of brightening is subtle and gorgeous- not at all over the top. I also find it works as an eyeshadow primer- 5 stars!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not very good I don't like this product because it doesn't cover at all like I would like it to. I am not happy with it and not happy with the make up artist who sold it to me after I told her what I like.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not very effective I suppose it is possible I could've gotten the wrong shade, but when I use this product I really don't notice any difference at all. It's just more goop on my face that I don't really need. I have tried using it different ways, but it doesn't seem to give me the results I want. It feels nice, it's light and creamy, doesn't cake up or dry me out, and I haven't had any adverse reactions to it. Unfortunately it also doesn't do much to brighten either. Maybe I will give it another go with a lighter shade and see how it fairs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life Saver This product saved my life. Before I started using it, I had really bad dark circles under my eyes. I had tried others but they didn't work, so I decided to give Bare Mineral a try and did and fell in love with the stroke of light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coverage and brightener! I have very deep, dark circles under my eyes, so I constantly have to wear some kind of concealer to make me look more "normal". The makeup artist recommended this to me, and I absolutely love it! It gives my eyes a more "awakened" look, while covering my dark circles. I highly recommend for anyone suffering with bags under their eyes!

Q & A

Eye cream before stroke of light?

I always use BE hydrating eye cream before concealer. But I wondered if I should use it under stroke of light, since it is much less heavy than cream concealer. Would it make stroke of light runny, or cause it to not "stick"?
Asked by: walkmom
I use it over, but be sure to use sparingly.

Is this product oil-free?

I need oil-free eye makeup because I have lash extensions.
Asked by: lovelypants
I don't find this oily at all, but it does give one a nice, dewy look.

is the coverage better than the well rested? whats the difference between the two?

i want the coverage of well rested or better but i do like a fresh, luminous, dewey look
Asked by: jenna
I use both products and I find them quite different. The coverage of well rested will vary quite a bit depending on how you apply it. Well Rested applied with a concealer brush (one layer) is more opaque than the brightener and I find I have to cover Well Rested with foundation. I never cover the brightener with foundation and find it to be a semi-sheer cover. I prefer the brightener, but I do not have very dark circles to cover. I do think the brightener looks better as an acne cover though.
