Stroke of Light Eye Brightener - null 4.6 5 87 87
Pretty Solid Luminizer I have been using this product for a couple of months, and I have to say it's a pretty good luminzer. I use this on the high points of my face (top of my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose) after I apply my foundation. The tube also lasts a long time so you get your money's worth. I would recommend trying this product out! 07/11/2015
If I could only choose one cosmetic, THIS would be it! I have fairly dark circles and reddish discoloration on my eye and undereye area, as well as the Celtic curse of red blotchy cheeks. This brightener works beautifully to conceal these flaws without ever getting cakey and it's super easy to blend out. It's wonderful to take away that "tired and stressed" look and makes me look more rested and refreshed. I've been using this for about 3 years now and can't live without it! I could wear this and some moisturizer alone, but if I need a little more evening out, I add the original powder foundation and blend well. I never get raccoon eyes where it looks like I've obviously used concealer. I love that feature. My normal routine includes moisturizing then using a little bit of the primer under and on my eyes and nose to even texture, then I use the Stroke of Light in Luminous 2 and blend it over and under my eyes, down the center of my nose and on the red areas near my cheeks. I blend quickly with my fingers then use the full coverage brush to apply the Fairly Medium original foundation to blend to a flawless but un-made up look. I get compliments on my skin all the time. For a 46 year old, that's pretty cool! I could technically use the Fairly Light and Luminous 1 tones, but I like the coverage of the Fairly Medium/Luminous 2 combo because it blends my freckles better. The joys of being a Ginger with pink undertones! 07/09/2015
I love it! This covers my dark circles beautifully! Since it is a brightener, I use it one shade down from what I wear in my concealer, and it works so great. Love it! 06/19/2015
Worked great . . . until I discovered it was a glitter wand! I tried this at my local bareMinerals boutique and the sales person said it was her "favorite concealer ". I tried it on with the bareSkin Serum Foundation and they looked perfectly together. I ended up purchasing both. I then wore this product to my Senior Ball and my friend asked me "what's all that glitter under your eyes?" I did not know what she was talking about. I made sure that no shimmer eye shadow had fallen on to the rest or my face. She tried to wipe it off. At the end of the night, I went home and had been wearing this product for only five hours and I saw what she was talking about. In the mirror I saw that all the foundation part of the product had faded away and what was left was my under eye dark circles and glitter. I saw all that glitter under my eyes and was mortified. I looked more closely at the concealer on the back of my hand and there was so much glitter in the product. I later discovered that Brighteners are supposed to have a little glitter in them. But I looked at some other Brighteners at a department store and they nearly did not have as much glitter in them as this one. The product looked great from far away and for a short period of time. Then I discovered I had only purchased a glitter wand. So disappointed! 06/14/2015
Glad I got this! This truly is an amazing product. It goes on smooth and flawlessly, and it doesn't look cakey like a lot of concealers do. It lightens and brightens the area under my eyes, which is what I was hoping it would do. If I had to say one thing that I didn't really love about this, it would be that too much of the product tends to stay at the top of the wand, right under the cap where it is attached to the top (lid). I keep it standing up, not lying down on the counter, too. Not sure if there's a way to keep that from happening, but that would be my only 'complaint' about it. 05/30/2015
Dark Circles Gone! I just recently started using concealer to get rid of my raccoon eyes. After watching vlogs online and product reviews I noticed everyone was talking about using brightener. This really makes all the difference. I don't look tired. Its been a great addition to my makeup routine. 05/20/2015
So natural looking! I love Stroke of Light. It is easy to apply, covers and brightens the darkness under my eyes, but doesn't look cakey or like I have raccoon eyes like most other concealers do. When I'm in a rush I sometimes put it on my eyelids to brighten it up a bit. It makes me look more awake, and it does it in a very natural-looking way. I've always hated concealers because they are too drying around my eye area and would end up cracking and looking really gross by the end of the day, but Stroke of LIght keeps its natural look all day long. I can't do without it! :) 05/20/2015
good I don't like to wear makeup without it. It does better for me than concealer. 05/11/2015
The best little miracle worker! Wow, I wish I knew about this product years ago!! My top eyelids have very thin skin so my eyelids tends to appear red, making me look tired. Not anymore :) Not heavy with just the right amount of color to wear alone or as a great eyeshadow primer. BEST of all is applying it under they eye to dark circles. This is where it's miraculous! Most concealers or foundations are a little too heavy and accentuate the fine lines under my eyes (no one wants fine lines to be accentuated!), but this does the opposite. This is the product you want in the morning after a big night when you have to be at work bright and early (and we've all been there), even though I'm dying on the inside, I look alive and fresh on the outside :) I also only need a little to make a big difference. I am a die hard bareMinerals fan from here on out! 05/10/2015
Creamy brightening Concealer has always been my one essential item. I'm an Italian American girl who inherited some lovely dark circles (thanks grandpa). I generally go for a creamy, thick, full coverage concealer and I thought I was really happy with the pricey one I had been using, until I tried Stroke of Light. It's not as thick as I'm accustomed to but surprisingly, it provides great coverage and looks much more natural than others I have used in the past. It really does appear to brighten my under eye area. I think I've found my forever concealer. 04/21/2015

I always use BE hydrating eye cream before concealer. But I wondered if I should use it under stroke of light, since it is much less heavy than cream concealer. Would it make stroke of light runny, or cause it to not "stick"?

Go through Bare Minerals Foundation Finder (http://www.bareescentuals.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-BareEscentuals-Site/en_US/Home-Show#ShadeFinder-Show). When you get to the shade-matching section, take notice of which phrase the shade you use falls under...either light, medium, tan, dark, or deep. Luminous 1 goes with "light", Luminous 2 goes with "medium", Luminous 3 goes with "tan", luminous 4 goes with "dark" and "deep". I wear medium tan and use Luminous 3.

Hope this helps!

I don't know which foundation shade you use, but I use Fairly Light (I have used Fair also) and the consultant in store gave me "luminous 2". By itself Stroke of Light has good coverage, which I think would cover even very dark circles. When I use the concealer, I put it on prior to my foundation and they blend well together. I hope it works for you!

I use Luminous 1 on my pale skin (I've been compared to ghosts before) and I think it looks great. I don't even cover this with foundation afterwards.

I use both products and I find them quite different. The coverage of well rested will vary quite a bit depending on how you apply it. Well Rested applied with a concealer brush (one layer) is more opaque than the brightener and I find I have to cover Well Rested with foundation. I never cover the brightener with foundation and find it to be a semi-sheer cover. I prefer the brightener, but I do not have very dark circles to cover. I do think the brightener looks better as an acne cover though.

I would say for coverage of least coverage to most it goes Well Rested, then Stoke of Light Brightener then the coverage concealer. The well rested just takes you a step up where as the stroke of light goes on to conceal a little bit more. The best concealer would be the one with the work concealer in its name :P

This is a cream fomula, well-rested is a powder. I found that well-rested sat in the fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes more than this product did. However, neither actually COVERED my dark circles or lines.

From my experience, The well rested looks better when applying it, but the Stroke of Light lasts longer. My solution is to use all three products - I use the Well Rested Face and Eye Brightener, then the Stroke of Light, then the Well Rested Powder. It may feel a bit overkill...but I've never been happy with my brightness of my eyes until now.

I find the coverage to be better with this than with the well rested. This product is easier to cover with and lasts so much longer than when I wear the well rested.

I have not tried the well rested yet, but I have tried the stroke of light. If you want coverage and say well rested has this, do not try the stroke of light. It is a very light and airy formula, which is good, but doesn't cover dark circles. I can't even tell I've even put it on as a matter of fact. Hope this helps somewhat.

the concealer(powder) gives more better coverage than the "well rested". It is my opinion. But everybody should try these products that to see what is most suitable for self.
"Well rested" too light-coloured(porcelain) for me though the tone of my skin is fairly-light

YES, it is better. Much better, actually. If you're referring to the liquid version of well-rested, the Stroke of Light has the brightening effect as well as a concealing benefit. I found that well rested's concealing capabilities were next to non-existent. The stroke of light picks up where well rested left off. It brightens your look but it has color in it. I haven't used it anywhere except under my eyes so I can't say if I would use it as a highlighter. But the coverage is definitely superior.
