Q & A

Correcting Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 - null is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 142.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hard to blend. I find this concealer hard to blend. It either looks thick or it doesn't cover.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Go-to Concealer I really like this concealer, it has really great coverage. Keep in mind that if you have really light skin, like me, with no warm undertones and you purchase Light 1, it is slightly pink so it does take some blending out. I suggest if you have this similar skin type to wear it under foundation or a BB cream, I do and it works really well!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works with the right tool I finally covered the dark puffy circles under my eyes! This correcting concealer took a lot of trial and error, but I finally found a technique that works for me. I have brown/tan skin and was finding that an ashy color showed through the concealer. I received Free Gift flathead shadow brush from BE, and decided to try it instead of applying and patting with my fingers. First, I apply the concealer in downward strokes around the eye area, getting really close to the lower lid (this is where the brush helps!). Then I put a small drop of complexion rescue on the back of my hand (Spice 08) and dip the brush in as I need to go over the concealer. The final, and most important finishing step, is dipping the brush into a small amount of Bare Radiance and again applying in light downward strokes until it's blended. The final step masks the ashy color, by giving my under eye are some warm color.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing. I used light 2 under my eyes and it was very obvious: it gave me reverse raccoon eyes. I went in to the store and confirmed I had bought the right shade for my skin tone. The lady there recommended I get the bareSkin Complete Coverage serum concealer in light and that works much better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Coverage I got this with my order, it is amazing. Go with the less is more, I used a sponge applicator to cover the imperfections, then buffed with my foundation. My face looks so smooth and clear. No make up/make up is what I call Bare Minerals. Love Love the products!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Coverage. Need a bigger size. :) I have used this concealer for quite some time now. And I must say it covers beautifully, blends well and the color is spot on. Please BM consider make a bigger size for the price. I go through it quickly! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hands Down the Best This creamy concealer is the absolute best I have EVER used! It looks natural, blends easily and lasts all day without getting clumpy. When I first bought it, the salesperson insisted that you must use a brush for the best results but I find the opposite to be true. My fingertips can be more sensitive to the fragile skin around the eyes and make the blend look more natural than a brush.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best concealer I love this product it really works, covers any blemishes and redness! It is Soft and blends well with my skin tone. You can use use just a bit or more depends on the need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from daily go to product live in very humid and beautiful Florida Keys, this concealer will go on and blend evenly while sweating.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I have sensitive skin and Rosacea This product is okay for under my eyes a little it shows some wrinkles (unless I'm applying it wrong). I have fair sensitive skin and Rosacea so it burned my cheeks and made my face even more red, made my pores so much more noticeable. I figured this might cover up my Rosacea because the Bisque Concealer doesn't cover it completely only just a little bit and I don't want to make my face look cakey.

Q & A

Is this concealer non-comedogenic?

It's not listed as as a detail or benefit. Furthermore, are all BM products non-comedogenic?

Concealer brush care

Since this concealer is cream vs powder based, does the concealer brush need to be cleaned after each use to prevent hardening?
Asked by: CindyC
This concealer does not really harden. It stays moist and creamy and doesn't dry out.

Can this be used with Bare Minerals original powder foundation or only with liquid foundation?

I have oily skin and I tried the bareSkin product but it didn't work due to my very oily skin no matter how much mineral veil I used. I'm back to using the original powder foundation but still would like a concealer other than the powder as I have a lot of acne scars.
Asked by: Dutchindian
The Correcting Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 is the best concealer I have ever used, and I also like you have oily, acne prone skin. The first time I tried BareMinerals in 2005 it just didn't work for me. I quit using it for years, but came back when the deluxe foundation because available in 2013. The concealer has changed my life! I have no blemishes any longer with the help of Murad and BareMineral concealer. I feel more confident then ever, and my skin is just flawless. You can try the $89 get started kit which will give you each essential product to a flawless finish. You can choose to get two concealers, or any thing you want, plus you get a beautiful makeup box with your order. I'd say 5 out of 5 stars for this concealer, especially with the powder foundation. It also works with the liquid or the BB cream foundations.

Which concealer to use?

I where your matte foundation in deepest dark N50 and I'm looking to find the right concealer. They say you should chose a concealer a little bit lighter than your foundation. So should I chose dark 2 or deep 2?
Asked by: MsKelly
I wear medium in all products, but at the store I tried a light because the medium just seemed dull to me. The light brightened my face as well as got rid of under eye shadow. It's fabulous!

Is this concealer or the well rested under eye brightener better for oily skin?

My skin can sometimes turn into an oil slick. I am considering purchasing either this concealer or the well rested eye brightener (I have slight dark circles as well). I like medium to full converge, but I don't want it to slide off my face.
Asked by: Pimanee
The well rested eye brightened really isn't a concealer. It's more of a luminizer product. It definitely isn't something I would put over my whole face, just places that need lightening. It is a translucent/whitish color with some glisten to it. It will not provide much actual coverage. I actually put the well rested on over my foundation under my eyes. The correcting concealer is a fantastic concealer with great buildable coverage. My face gets super oily no matter what brands or products I use, but I think I get the best result with BE products. It doesn't feel oily and doesn't run down my face like other brands; I just see the shine in the afternoon. I would definitely recommend finishing with the mineral veil if you get oily, though.

Comparison to similar products on the market

I've used Benefit Erase Paste and Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer for the dark circles under my eyes, and they worked great, except for a slight drying and creasing under my eyes. Has anyone tried these and how does BareEscentuals correcting concealer compare?
Asked by: Hugs
I haven't used the other products you mentioned, but as far as I can't ell, this product does not cease or cause drying under the eye.

Shade Matching

I use Ready foundation (love it!) in medium beige AND golden medium together. They work great together for me. I'm really wanting to try this concealer but can't decide which shade. I'm blonde with medium skin and with quite a bit of red from rosacea. I will use this mostly around my eyes. Have been using Well Rested for a long time but need a little more coverage. The light 1 seems a little too pinkish. Someone mentioned this concealer runs a little dark so I think medium might be too dark. I don't have a boutique in my area. Any advice is much appreciated!
Asked by: monalisa413
I wear medium in all other products...complexion is slightly olive and I tan very easily. I tried the medium in the boutique, but it seemed to just match too perfectly...seemed a bit dull. When I tried the light, it was amazing! Brightened my face with no other makeup. Hope this helps:)

Watched concealer video and there was no mention of using an eye cream prior. Is a cream recommended or no?

I will add that finding an eye cream that doesn't make concealer cake or flake seems to be hard for me (Bare E or other brands).
Asked by: Garbo
i tend to use a all over the face nightly moisture cream some of the eye creams may be to heavy and look a little cakey so be aware and stick to the heavy creams both face eyes or all over body to nights it will do more benefit at nigh when your body naturally rejuvenates itself
