Correcting Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 - null
A life saver!
I got this concealer as a sample. I use it with the Matte powder foundation and WOW! I have tried so many products to help fill in my large pores and to cover my acne scars and red spots. This is the ONLY product I have found that does what I want it to do without looking cakey and so made up. My pores look smaller, my redness and acne scares disappear. I apply some onto my primed skin, apply Matte foundation powder, apply some over the powder again to touch up, and apply a small amount of Matte foundation powder over it once more. I then finish it all off with the mineral veil. I work as a RN and it gives me a fresh professional look without being too made-up.
I love it so far!
Just got this product in the mail about a week ago. It makes my skin look wonderful. Lately, I've been having acne testing out different concealers. This concealer covers acne wonderfully. I'm hoping my sensitive skin will be okay with this stuff.
Good Overall Concealer
Iv bought this concealer twice in med 2, blends well, good coverage for my dark circles overall good buy!
I wasn't impressed with this at first, but I kept using it because I didn't want to waste it. Wow, all I can say is that I can't live without it now. don't give up after a few tries. Once you get the technique down and apply it sheer and even, it gives an amazing amount of coverage. The only con is that the lightest shade is too yellow, but it still works as long as I am careful to apply it only over the dark circles. Yellow corrects blue. I have tried the cc eye primer, and this works better for that purpose. I can apply a small bit of brightening concealer over it. The eye primer is far too yellow for fair/cool toned girls. It would be great if bareMinerals would offer this concealer in a lighter shade so that fair girls could have the option of using it as an eye brightener too.
TIME TO TRY SOMETHING NEW!!!
I have Been buying this concealer for about a year, I noticed that it settles into the tiny under eye creases and does not look smooth. I thought it only happened to me but after reading several reviews I'm not the only one.
I was going to get another one but I think it's time for a change. Benifit makes a good concealer I used that before with no problem it goes on smooth and does not cake or settle into creases.
I got this as part of the Your Perfect Picks-Complexion set and I am amazed by this product! I had been wanting to try it for a while and got it! It goes on super easily and looks like it is part of my skin. The only issue I have is that over time it settles into some fine lines. Other than that, it is perfection! Will be buying it again.
I expect much better from bare escentuals.
i cant say enough negative things about this. three years ago, i bought an 80$ kit from bare escentuals, and in that kit was a concealer case called the "duo concealer."
I SWORE by it. and it was perfect because it had two shades i could mix to perfectly match ME. it concealed EVERYTHING. blemish scars, freckles, redness you name it. it blended nicely. so pretty much what im trying to say is that it was polar opposite to what it is now. two years later, after i ran out, and after i finally could afford it, i end up wasting my money. bare escentuals changed it, and its not nearly the same... (oh... except the price of course)
im 22 years old, and this makes my skin appear flaky and wrinkly, and i dont have a single wrinkle on my face, and it smears. will not be buying again.... try again guys....
side note: i did try the blemish remedy concealer today at ulta. much better. but as far as a compact like this; please try again....
I have to take the time to comment on this concealer as it initially came to me as a sample pack with the original foundation. I LOVE this concealer! It covers quite well but is also lightweight and finishes powder-light almost like the mineral powders. I have never enjoyed using concealers in the past because of their heaviness and oiliness however I have no complaints with this product. I found that the Tan 2 fits my complexion perfectly as I am of fairly tan with golden undertones. The only complaint I have is that the container is very small, however a little bit goes a long way. Overall this concealer is great and I highly recommend it!
Good but not great
I'm 40. Fair complexion. Container fantastic. Ease of application. Coverage is average. I find the concealer is great at covering blemishes but not as good on under eye area. I'll use it but likely won't reorder. I'll go back to my bare skin color corrector concealer in the wand applicator.
Best Concealer Since I Began Using Them At Age 13!
I'm 53, medium complexion that is combination, brown hair and eyes. I am sure over the past years I have tried hundreds of concealers from big brands in drug stores and pricey department stores and all failed miserably. My main concealing problem area is hereditary dark under eye circles which become purplish/black during allergy season.
Doesn't matter the brand, claims, price or type concealer none of them worked past to present until now. Most concealers were too pink, too yellow or too light. So color was always a problem. Consistency were extremes too. Either too liquid and would soak into my skin, too thick and drying, or would go on great and look great then within 30 minutes would disappear or accentuate wrinkles to the extreme.
This concealer has good color choices, and while maybe not looking exactly like your skin tone on your computer/android screen in actuality they are very forgiving like all BE foundations are. If you can "try before you buy" where BE is sold I would suggest that before buying. I bought the Light 2 and color was fine, just the tiniest bit too light. I received free samples of the concealers from another purchase and discovered that medium 2 is perfect!
It covers wonderfully. It is easy to apply and I use my finger for best results because brushes don't give as great application with concealer for me. Common sense application starting out minimally and then building for needed coverage. It takes just a few seconds & done!
One drawback is that within a few minutes it does settle into lines under my eyes. With that said it is no where near as bad as other concealers. After the product settles in the lines I take my bare finger and gently pat over that area. I do not add more. It does help. That was the only downside of this product. Which is why I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars.
