Correcting Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 - null
Not For the Fair Skinned
I bought my starter kit online and after a grueling two weeks, was so excited to see it in my mailbox! I open everything up and I'm excited to try it on, obviously struggling to figure out how to use it. I do everything as normal, wash, moisturize, prime, foundation, next is the moment of truth. I swipe my concealer brush into the little pot and start to cover up my dark spots and blemishes. It's slightly off color than my foundation but I figure no problem, finishing powder will fix it. I get done with my routine, hop into my car to go to work and take a glance in the mirror. Brown. My concealer is brown. I have brown spots on my face and even worse, under my eyes. Why?? Why in the world is it possible to have such a light shade of foundation yet the concealer matches not one bit? Worst of all is that I can't use any of my previous concealers because they no longer match my foundation. I love this stuff don't get me wrong, but the concealer shades make absolutely no sense to me. Can we go just a few shades lighter, Bare Escentuals, please??
A truly great concealer.
What a fabulous product the Correcting Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 - Light 1 is. This is an unabashed hit! Works like a charm. It has great staying power and even application. No fuss, no muss. Love it!
I love this stuff, and so does my mother who has aging skin and redness! It works so well for both of our skin types (20 something and 50 something!). Light 2 is great for my dark circles and chin discoloration, whereas Light 1 does wonders for my acne scarring.
Works Great for Rosacea and Scars
I have light to medium skin and have terrible rosacea redness. This stuff works quite well to cover it and stays on well. It's been a real struggle for me to find something that covers it. I use it on my cheeks on any red ares or spots and then I've been using the Matte Foundation Broad Spectrum all over my face. I finish with a dusting of mineral veil. All 3 products are needed to keep the red covered since I have oily skin. If I don't use the mineral veil the redness starts showing again much sooner.
I recently bought Prime Time and Ready Foundation. Ready has fuller coverage than the other foundation I was using. I'm still perfecting using it, but it does cover even better, it just looks more like I'm wearing makeup. I think I will put on less and buff more and see if that helps. I think Ready Foundation will be better to cover the rosacea with my routine.
compact falls apart
there is nothing wrong with the concealer itself, however the little compact that it comes in falls apart. I bought 2 of these in different colors and different times and within a week or so both fell apart.
frustrating trying to put a rubber band around it to hold it together.
I love this stuff. I use it as foundation in the summer. For extra coverage, I use a brush to cover up flaws. Love Love Love
When natural makeup isn't enough (Sensitive skin beware).
I have been using Bare Minerals for years, thinking all along that it would work for my HIGHLY sensitive skin. But as I faced a particularly bad breakout I decided I needed more to conceal my acne than my normal routine, which was where the Correcting Concealer came into play. I started using it and everything was fine, it was covering my breakout (for the most part). But as a couple of weeks went by I began to notice my skin was getting worse. The worse my skin got the more Correcting Concealer I put on in hopes of covering what was quickly becoming my worst breakout ever. Finally, after weeks of frustration and my skin only getting worse I ran out of Correcting Concealer. I went to the store to buy more but they were out of stock, so I went home, in my mind relegated to bad skin with no coverup in sight. But as the days went by and I went through my previous makeup routine I slowly started to see my skin improving. After a couple of weeks my skin was looking leaps and bounds better than it had when I was using the coverup.
Finally it dawned on me, I was 110% allergic to the Correcting Concealer. Now I would recommend this product to anyone who doesn’t have sensitive skin. It should work for covering your problem spots. However, if you have sensitive skin I would avoid this product. Bare Minerals foundations may work for you, but it's likely this will not.
I'm not sure if this product is worth $20 for the small amount contained. Great coverage though. I'll probably re-order when I run out, I just have to use it sparingly.
Amazing concealer but poor container
I use light 1 and it is the best concealer I have ever used. It has great coverage for my under eye circles, and areas where I have rosacea. The only complaint I have is the packaging. Every container I have had the plastic has broken off around the hinge and then the lid won't stay on...so frustrating! Please change the container!
I tried this concealer for the first time, i just loved it.
Very easy to use, and work great. last all day. I use warm deep loose mineral powder, and it blends so easily and quickly. Looks very natural and wears all day.
