  • Exceptionally vivid, pure, provocative color
  • Long-wearing for up to 12 hours
  • Resists creasing, fading and smudging
  • Reduces the look of fine lines, wrinkles and puffiness
  • Helps to boost moisture levels to smooth and revitalize delicate eye area

  • SMOKY EYE

  • THE TECHNIQUE: Rich color is applied to eyelids and lash base, then is blended and diffused outward for a smoky look.

  • THE EFFECT: Sultry, smoldering, smoked-out eyes.

  • THE APPLICATION: Fill in the eyelid and the lash base area with eyeshadow, then softly diffuse color up and out. For a more defined effect, boldly line upper and lower lash line with a rich smoky shade, then blend color outward. Color should appear most concentrated on lid or lash base, then fade softly as it moves away from the eye.

  • THE BUZZ: Classic, sexy, bold, dramatic

  • THE INSIDE SCOOP: Smoky Eyes are not limited to traditional black and gray shades; this technique also works beautifully with neutral shades for a softer daytime look or brighter shades for high-impact color.

    READY Eyeshadow 4.0 - null 4.8 5 31 31
im in love!! oh my goodness i just bought 'the dream sequence' quad and 'the last call' duo, im soooo in love with these shadows. im so used to nude colored shadows for everyday looks and these shadows bring so much color back into my life. i plan on buying more palettes! 04/01/2014
The A List This is my favorite. Blends well, and lasts all day without running onto the checks like other brands I have tried. Does tend to settle into the crease of the eye, but I don't use a primer and am sure that would make a difference. 03/30/2014
Brilliant I bout the Rare Find because I wanted a soft green and I thought the other colors would work well together. I'm more than please with all four of them. I used to use Warmth under my crease shadow and now I don't need to because of the colors included. I like the two lighter colors as well. One is sparkling and one is matte, so you can go from day to night. Like all BM shadows I find the pigmentation great and the shadows last all day even without primer. I would highly recommend these palettes to anyone who doesn't like loose shadows. This definitely won't be the last one I buy. 01/26/2014
LOVE, love, love these pallets! I just bought two of the 4 combos and adore them.....The A list and The Truth. Both are beautifully paired with the colors in each and they last all day w/o issue. I always wear eyelid primer so haven't had any trouble with creasing or loss of color over time. I mix and match with everything, amd these do well with that too. No complaints. 01/20/2014
Great colors! This was my first Ready Eyeshadow purchase, in "The Truth". Truth be told, I don't use all the colors. They are so close in shade that it's hard to get definition between the colors. SO, when I use this 4.0, I use it with other palettes to get a black or grey color to blend it. The light color is fine with any of the others for a 2-shaded eye, but honestly I don't use all of the 4 colors together often. On a different note, the READY shadows travel great! I don't use the included applicator because it is the foamy applicator, which I despise. I leave it in there for touch-ups on the go, but I normally use other BM brushes to apply at home. 12/01/2013
Great product I have The Soundtrack and using the palette is so much easier than the loose powder eyeshadows. The bottom left color in the Soundtrack is a gorgeous glittery gold that I wear almost every day. I wish I could afford all of these. The colors go together perfectly, last all day, don't make a mess in the bathroom with powder everywhere and are just plain simple and easy. Great makeup. 11/15/2013
Great option for quick makeup This is a great pallet, especially when you're pressed for time. I wouldn't say the formula blends well onto the skin, but the colors blend well together making the overall effect look well-blended. The pressed powder pots are very shallow, but you only need a small amount. The pigmentation level varies between colors. You will probably need to experiment a bit to obtain the look you want. I end up lightly pressing the brush on the color and lightly pressing it to my eyelid, loading more on the brush when needed and building to the color density I want. Overall, great pallets. I have The Truth, The Rare Find, and The Happy Place. I'm pleased with all three. I have brown hair and blue eyes and they all look good. I especially like The Happy Place. The colors complement my light skin with golden undertones better than I expected. 11/03/2013
Great buy! Love the ready eye shadows! They last forever and are so beautiful and versatile. And who wouldn't love the added anti-aging benefits! 10/14/2013
Love this eyeshadow! After 10 years of wearing the same makeup colors (I have very little imagination for makeup colors myself and in 2 makeovers at 2 different brands I was given the exact same colors.) I saw a video on the Bare Minerals website demonstrating application of The Happy Place and complimenting lip and cheek colors and I decided to give the whole look a try. I have never been so happy with my makeup before! Just taking the tips from the insert in the box, you can have 3 different looks: one casual for everyday, the another slightly more fancy and with the addition of an eyeliner (I use Round the Clock Waterproof 11pm), you have a great evening look! I've gotten so many compliments on this look. People will ask me what color my eyes are, because the shadows bring out different shades. They're just plain old brown, BTW. :) Highly recommend this product! 10/08/2013
Eyeshadow 4.0 Palettes I have three 4.0 palettes: The Afterparty, The Rare Find, and The Happy Place. Of these, my favorite is The Afterparty, for the sole reason that I tend toward silvers and black with eyeshadow to begin with. However, each one that I have is versatile and is flattering. I've never worn brown or pink eyeshadow before Bare Minerals because it tends to make me look sallow, but I've never had that problem with any of these. They can be used when you're in a hurry, but want to look like you're composed, they are perfect for work, for school, for a day with the kids, a coffee date, or a night out on the town. While you have to know what you want from them and how to use them, these eyeshadows can do anything. They're incredibly long-lasting, especially if you use eyeshadow primer, and very little eyeshadow needs to be used. I've had one palette for over 6 months, use it regularly, and it barely looks like it's been touched. 09/23/2013

I have light green eyes with flecks of gold and orange, with a darker almost gray outer ring. I really want to make them pop but don't want to spend a lot experimenting for the right colors.

I find that purples, golds, bronzes, and olive greens makes green eyes stand out the best.

The best colors for green eyes would be purples and greens or browns. If looks best if you use them together. For example if you do a Smokey eye with purple and brown. Or purple and green etc.

I Love "The Truth" quad and I am on my second one. The only issue is that I run out of Serendipitous(light peach) right away as that is what I use as a highlighter and all over shadow at times. Is there a similiar BM shadow I can use or will Bare Minerals please consider selling it individually? I love it and I cannot get enough of the eye shadow.

I think a great substitute would be City Lights or Citrus Twist.

Its easy to apply Bare Minerals eye shadows and make them last almost all day. I like to start off using Bare Minerals primer [Because it helps make the color last longer] after you smooth on the primer select your eye shadow color. For the boldest amount of color you want to make sure you have a lot of power on your eye shadow brush. Then you dab on the color from your lid to your brow. It is very important you dab because then the color stands out more and lasts longer. If you want to make your eyes pop add a crease color that looks well with your eye shadow color! and then your done!

I don't have a video to show, here's what I do… This is my absolute favorite eye palette in the Ready line (really, of all time)--definitely my "go to" eye look. For day, I sweep Serendipitous all over the lid and as a highlight under my brows. I use Magnetism in the crease, Fate in the outer V, and Apropos as a liner. For an evening look, I use Serendipitous under the brow and as an inner corner highlight, Magnetism on the lid, Fate in the crease, and Apropos in the outer V. Underneath the eye, I line with Fate and follow with Apropos in the outer corner. I also follow with a darker brown pencil liner on the top lid and in my waterline.
