READY Eyeshadow 2.0 - null
"The Enlightenment" : Perfect
I work in a casual office and was hoping to enhance my look without my colleagues silently registering, "Oh, she's wearing makeup now." I wanted to polish my look so the Matte foundation was a great start -- next were my eyes. I did not want a cliché look to my eyeshadow. I was looking for a neutral, NATURAL, subtle and non-glittery shadow and this is it. Just enough shadow in the Namaste shade to add contour, and the Guru adds highlight without shine. If you are looking for a pop of color or high contrast, this is not your combo. If you are looking for something quiet and classy in a MATTE shadow, I highly recommend it. This may be too subtle for some skin tones (I am using Golden Tan Matte foundation)
COLORS NOT AS STATED
The "violet woods" color is far from being a purple color. It is more like a smokey gray color. Would have given 5 stars if color was purple. Nonetheless, it's a nice color combo and wears well.
LOVE this pallet, run out of Mixologist (light tone) too easily though
I wish I could get a larger amount of the mixologist or a bigger pallet for that price because boy- it's my absolute all time favorite everyday to formal eye shadow, hands down.
You keep it subtle and light which is great for my light skin tone, or work it to be dramatic and popping.
It wears ALL day and I don't have to worry about touching up the glossy, sexy look it brings to the apex of my eyes, it doesn't come off or get dull.
Just need to get more mixologist! I have a bunch of the darker tone ones sitting around..
The High Society
I'm so absolutely in love with the High Society duo! The lighter of the two shades is my absolute favorite shade ever, I wish I could just buy a larger size of this specific color. There is a very subtle low glow, golden pearl, satiny finish to it that is so incredibly hard to find. I'd also purchase if debutante was offered in a loose formulation. The second color waltz is beautiful as well, but it's in my estimation only one shade darker than debutante, both colors are what I'd describe as pastels. If your looking for a substantially darker crease color this isn't the pallet for you. If your looking for a very soft wash of pearlescent color this is AMAZING! I'm stocking up because I never want to be without this option. Thank you BE for giving us choices offering unusual finishes and colors. As always these shadows are very blendable and highly pigmented.
The colors are true to the image and they blend so well. They last all day and they look great with green eyes.
My favorite go to
Love the combo of these colors. The pigmentation is deep so the light color really shows up and the darker shade takes hardly any. The only thing I don't like is I use more of the light than the dark so I end up with a lot of dark left. Just re ordered because if i have to take a small makeup bag, I can make do with just these two colors for every day. Perfect for light eyes!
"The magic touch"
Nice everyday color. Both colors have a sheen/glittery thing going on which I don't mind, just thought I should throw it in here just in case some ladies hate glitters. The pigmentation is a little off, if you like a more dramatic look this dual might not be the one for you.
I LOVE THE MATTE DUO "THE ENLIGHTENMENT"
I am so glad that I found this great beige and brown eyeshadow duo and that it is matte! I wish there were more shades to choose from that had less sparkle to them but I am happy I found this one. BareMinerals eyeshadow stays on beautifully all day long and I use the primer underneath them for eyes. I am so happy that I discovered bareMinerals and that I can feel good about using make up without chemicals!!!
I love these shadows. They have great pigment, glide on smooth, bendable & last all day.
I would live to see MORE MATTE colors and not just in neutrals!!! It would be even better to have individual pans with a buildable palette like urban decay has.
I have hooded eyes, so the shimmer colors don't work well. It seems most all of the palettes, especially the 4.0 & 8.0 have several shimmer that aren't any use to me. A buildable palette with individual colors would allow you to have exactly what you want though wasting money & products.
The Nick of Time
This review is for The Nick of Time (2 shades). I give this 3 stars because the main color just isnt enough. It is very, very soft. It is not at all dark like in the picture. Its a pretty soft base color in my opinion. And the lighter shade a brow highlighter. It needs more. A couple more colors to bring out some depth and it would be amazing.
