Prime Time Primer Shadow - null
PERFECT Nighttime Shadow
I love this product! I mostly wear it at night, because during the day it looks kind of harsh against my skin tone. I tried a tutorial using the Urban Nature shade and Seventeen Magazine, and this primer shadow helped me achieve the look I wanted. It's absolutely perfect for nighttime.
I love these primers
I loves these primers, they primer very well and I have every shade they made in them, but for me and my extremely light skin, I think the very dark colors if I am going to wear them with an eye shadow that is light colored one. Yesterday, I wore the bronze twig one and wore a dark brown eye shadow over and looked like I had a black eye, but that's doesn't mean that's going to look like how it will look on everyone, I just have very fair skin and probably just need to wear a lighter shade over it, otherwise, they are very pretty and are wonderful!
Doesn't blend out well
I bought this after watching Alba Mayo's video on the emerald eye look for the 2013 Pantone Color of the Year. I used this on one eye, and used my Too Faced Shadow Insurance on the other, and I preferred Too Faced. This primer can be used as a cream eyeshadow, and it's very pretty on it's own. But when I tried to layer this with my eyeshadows and blend out, the shadow that was on top of this primer would not budge! I couldn't get the edges to blend out at all. It was just a block of color, which is ok, if that's what you're trying to create, but I wasn't. Also, I didn't notice any extra vibrancy of green color with this layered underneath the green eyeshadow. It didn't make the green "pop" anymore than my Too Faced primer (which is only slightly tinted a sheer, neutral color that blends into your skintone. It's color-neutral). I gave it two hearts because it has really great pigmentation on its own and can be worn alone as a cream shadow. But as a eyeshadow primer it really fell flat. Too Faced allowed me to blend the edges out perfectly so I'll stick to that one.
It does Prime, and worn alone is pretty
This is a lovely primer, I love that I can wear it alone or add shadow over it for a really pretty look. My favorite is gold nugget, but it was a limited edition color that came in the Wanderlust Desert kit. Loved it. I have a coral color one and I think that one is limited edition too. I wish we would hold on to all of these colors as there is always a lot that are only temporarily here :) But, I would recommend this product.
One of my favorite products!
I have every color that Prime Time has ever been made in and I love them! The tubes seem to last forver which is what it does when you put it on. The primer will last all day with no fail! I usually put on the primer color closest to the shadow that I am going to use and then put the shadow colors on top. However when I am lazy, I will just put on the Prime Time and it looks like I used the shadow. Cant say enough good things about this one!
Can do with out
I tried the variety pack as an introduction as well as for a fast approach to eye shadow. I am not won over but to be fair, I don't think the colors in the pack were made for people with my skin color. I am fair skinned with permanent dark, almost green circles under my eyes from chronic sinuses. All of the colors, bronze, gun metal, yellow umber, etc, made it look like I got punched in the eye. They also apply like a thick grease. The pink was the only one that I could get away with if I use it lightly and only on the lid directly above my lashes and underneath the eye crease. I wish better luck to other users!
Love, love, love
I absolutely love these shadow primers. I have two colors but want more. I use them as my eyeshadow and never have to reapply all day long.
Love this product!
This product is so wonderful! I love the creamy consistency and the beauty of the colors! They are great!
I like this primer but not to find of the bronze color it looks sort of dull so i never wear it as a shadow but it does prime the eye lid very well. I always just apply my favorite color shadow over to hide the dullness.
Some colors have too much glitter
I love the staying power of the Primer Shadows, but most of the colors just have way too much glitter in them. I got Nude Glow in a kit, and while the base color is just perfect, the chunky glitter makes it completely unusable.
