Prime Time Neutralizing Foundation Primer 4.1 5 56 56
Awful When I bought this product in a smaller size along with something else to try, I was really excited. However, once I tried it, I was very disappointed. I live in a very humid area, so primers are a must if I want my makeup to stay on. It not only didn't hold my makeup on, but it made the makeup streaky and slide right off my face. 08/02/2014
Prime Time Neutralizing Foundation Primer Tried the foundation primer on a whim. I was totally delighted with the results. My skin tone was perfectly even. The perfect start for a flawless finish. 07/15/2014
LOVE! I have dry skin that tends to be red on the cheeks and I have tried so many products to cover this with either no result or something that simply didn't last all day. I just stumbled on this product thanks to a friend not really even aware of what it was. The first couple of times I used it with foundation over after it set, and I got compliments from friends and family on how great my skin looked! Now I can practically use it without even putting a foundation on top, it works that well at smoothing and taking away the redness. I will always use this product from now on! 05/27/2014
New go to I was afraid to try this product after reading some reviews, but I made the decision to form my own opinion. I am so glad I decided to do that. I love the way this balances out my skin tone before I apply my foundation. It doesn't give much coverage, but it does tone down the redness that I have in my cheeks. I love this primer. I only wish it had the same finish as the original primer or the bb cream primer. This one feels slightly more slick when applying and then throughout the day. 05/01/2014
Great But..... I love how it gives you a blank canvas to work with! I bought this one because it says it combats the dry/flaky patches as well and my forehead area and my nose stay dry and flaky but this primer doesn't keep to its word it doesn't help improve the dryness issue it makes it more noticeable. Other then this issue I love this primer! 04/30/2014
I love this primer I had been sold on the regular primer, Prime Time, before and bought it. I wasn't exactly floored by it. Don't get me wrong, there isn't anything WRONG with it either, but I didn't feel the need to shout from the rooftops about it either. I have also tried several other primers, all of which do about the same job. I actually received this in a Mystery box. At first I was like "Great, I ALREADY have 3 primers." and was disappointed that I'd gotten it.... all that changed the first time I used it. Skin back story - I have "fairly light" shade skin with pink undertones and some red scarring from post acne marks. I am oil T zone as far as skin goes and pretty much any foundation slides off my t zone within a few hours regardless of primer or not. The first time I used the neutralizing primer I was sort of taken aback by how yellow it came out. After I applied it all over my face I didn't see any "oh wow that's yellow!" remnants of my previous worry. Then I applied my foundation, powder, bronzer, etc as usual and went about my day. A few hours later I kept STARING at my face in the mirror - my face looked GREAT. Seriously. I was like nah this is a fluke. I tried the exact same makeup duplication over a week's time with my other primers using ONLY the primer as the differentiating factor and bottom line - the primer made the difference. I don't know exactly what it is about this primer that makes it different or makes my face look great, but I do know that using this primer on the "test" face of makeup DOES make it look better. I would definitely buy this again and use it EVERY day!!!!!! 04/28/2014
I just received this last night but so far I just received this last night but so far it's exactly what I was hoping for. I love the original primer but I tried this last night and it worked wonders for me. Note it is much thicker than the original one and has a yellow tint. But it feels smooth and light on my face dries fast and the yellow tint helps hide my red blotchy spots and still is easy to blend with my foundation. It left my skin with a natural smooth texture concealing a lot of the little bumps that I have due to dry skin. A little goes a long way, this to me works as a light coverage concealer as well as a primer and after the party my make up was still flawless 4 stars only because it hasn't been long but so far I'm happy with this purchase. 04/19/2014
Meh. I received a sample of the original primer formula and loved it! I decided to try the neutralizing primer as I have sensitive skin that is prone to redness. This stuff is very yellow for my fair skin-tone, is thicker and doesn't glide on as smooth as the original non-tinted primer. This also made me break out, so I won't be using it anymore. It did tone down the redness, but I would go with the original primer if I decide to purchase again. 04/10/2014
LOVE LOVE LOVE I used bareMinerals for about two weeks prior to purchasing this product. I was using a primer from a different brand but was struggling to get full coverage that lasted all day. I have dry skin and the exfoliation was causing my face to be super red and the foundation simply wasn't covering it all and I found myself applying several layers. Then it was suggested that I buy the neutralizing foundation primer and I swear it changed my life lol! It instantly smoothed and the yellow tones in the primer hid my red skin. It lessened the amount of applications I initially had to put on and I did not have to reapply throughout the day. All primers are NOT created equal...this one does the job and then some! 03/26/2014
prime i dont agree, im a redhead with freckles, i have tried the makeup without the primer....granted i dont have pimples or pimple marks, but i do have rosatia type skin, reddish marks, and this prime time is great, it helps cover up these marks immensely 02/26/2014

This product seems harder to apply evenly for me & seems the pigment settles to bottom. I can't tell if my shaking the bottle helps because you can't see. I thought maybe mixing with the clear might solve, but don't know if it would work. Too expensive to experiment without knowing. Or, maybe I have come up with a new idea that would work. Thank you for your assistance.

I have redness on my cheeks, so I also wanna try that high-rated Redness Remedy, some review imply that product could actually fade redness in the longtime, but I'm not sure if both these two products can be used at the same time, and the order.

I use moisturizer then this, but if you have oily skin this would probably be enough. It goes on feeling wet but dries within seconds and feels weightless.

A:
After moisturizer, always. It helps to sort of "seal in" your moistuizer. But make sure you allow both the moisturize and primer to dry before appling your foundation.

Jill, Primers are not traditionally moisturizers. They are to even out the texture of your skin before applying your makeup (to give you the best application) as well as to help extend the wear. Order of application should be:

Cleanser
Skin Rever-Upper (if you use that)
Moisturizer
Primer
Foundation

A:
I would say start with the original primer. It is the safest one. If not that then the new bb cream primer in medium.

I am also a medium beige and I use the neutralizing foundation primer it has a yellow tint and helps hide redness it blends well with medium beige foundation and it smooths out the texture of your skin so it looks like you have less bumps. I recommend this primer. It's also good for dry skin.

If you have dry skin, I would suggest the brightening primer. If you have an issue with oily skin, try the oil control. I have dry skin and I use the neutralizing primer because of my redness and I have no problems with it drying out my skin.

A:
It depends on your skin type. Are you oily, dry, or do you have excessive redness? The neutralizing primer is yellow and desgined to help color-correct redness in the skin. If you have very dry skin you might appreciate the brightening primer since dry skin can tend to look dull. If you have extreemely oily skin, or if you prefer a water based primer (as opposed to a scilicone one), try the oil-control version. But the original is your best bet if you are unsure, it works with every skin type witout question.

Primers are generally for all skin types unless specified (like the oil control). I have oily skin and use the Oil Control, Brightening, and Neutralizing. Its really about your preference. Oil Control i use most often, but brightening i use when my skin is a little dull. I just started using the neutralizing for my uneven tone and LOVE it! it will probably become my new go-to primer!
