Prime Time Brightening Eyelid Primer 4.3 5 40 40
This primer stays on all day and no greasy lids! I originally purchased the pearl but I noticed it did not compliment my skintone very well. (I tend to wear the primer alone, with only mascara and a bit of eyeliner for a neutral, work-day look. ) So I returned the pearl and purchased the this one (gold). I love it, I use it daily, and it is well worth the money! Before I had greasy eyelids (ew) and now I never have greasy eyelids (even at the end of the day!). 03/02/2013
chunky I really wanted to like this, as I LOVE the normal Prime Time, but I just can’t. To me, it is too think, and feels chunky or chalky on my face. It doesn’t spread smooth, and to get it to spread out (I put it on one pointer finger, then spread between my two pointer fingers first), I feel like I am trying to grind off my eyelid and end up rubbing so hard it hurts. I do put lotion on before I put on my READY foundation, so I would think that would help smooth things out and provide a nice surface for smearing. I never have this problem with the normal Prime Time. Too bad. 02/12/2013
primed and ready I really like the way that this primer can be used as a shadow and that layering with it makes the color stay true all day long. It is smooth and silky and a little goes a long way. 12/02/2012
A little goes a long way. I got this in a kit to try. It makes a nice even canvas for eye make-up. It brightens dark lids and helps the makeup stay in place all day long. Just be sure to use a small amount or it will cause lids to feel caked. 11/01/2012
Fantastic! This is one of the first products that I purchased on this site and I am so happy that I did. In the past, eyeshadow never stayed on my eyes. During the day it would just fade away until it was gone. I dont know if my eyelids were oily or what the issue was, but it was extremely annoying. I purchased the brightening eyelid primer and rapture eyeshadow. The primer is by far my favorite! It's a gold sparkly color and it looks fantastic with my blue eyes. I put it on all over my lid and a bit on the inside corner of my eyes. It really does brighten up the eye area, making me look a lot less tired. The color of the eyeshadow is really nice, I can't complain, and it lasts all day. My only complaint is with the container which doesn't keep the eyeshadow in very well. Regardless this was a great purchase and I have no regrets. :) 08/17/2012
Perfect eye primer I love Gold colors, and when I don't feel like wearing eye shadow, I swipe a tiny amount of this on, and I'm ready to go. It is such a pretty color, it's buildable, and blends really well. Stays in place all day! 07/20/2012
Does the trick! I always have a problem with my eye shadow ending up creasing or up above the crease by lunchtime. This never happens if I use this primer. AWESOME product! 07/03/2012
For the practical girl I am not one for buying needless, excessive makeup 'accessories' when I can use the same thing for many areas of my face. I thought, why would I need ANOTHER primer when I already use the all over face Prime Time? Then summer and sweating happened. I used all of my eyelid primer and I'm in a panic to receive my next order! With the Prime Time Eyelid Primer, my eye makeup stays more vibrantly, all day: no smudging, no melting... yet it's easy to wash off with a little baby shampoo. I'm a pregnant mom with 2 toddlers, so you can believe this product is getting tested to its max. 06/26/2012
Don't believe the hype I HATE this product. I decided to give it and the Pearl version a try after reading all the rave reviews about them. You know, the ones that say it makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE in the way your eyeshadow looks, how it BRIGHTENS YOUR WHOLE FACE and REALLY MAKES YOUR EYES POP? Yeah, not so much. My eyeshadow with the primer on underneath is exactly the same color and sheen as my eyeshadow without it. Does it work as a primer? Yeah, sure. It's a pain in the butt to apply, and good luck getting it to go on evenly, but once you've finished smearing it onto your eyelids (with your FINGER) your eyeshadow will definitely stick to it. It'll stick so well you can forget about BLENDING entirely. If you're looking for a difficult-to-apply primer that will give you blotchy-looking, unblendable eyeshadow that doesn't look any brighter or sparklier but will stay in place for hours, LOOK NO FURTHER. If not, don't waste your time or money on this one. 05/16/2012
Hello, Bright Eyes!! This lovely golden primer shadow is a wonderful pick-me-up for those days you don't get quite enough sleep. The shimmery pigment reflects light and really brightens up your whole look. Use it from lash to brow, then layer another shadow over your lid and this becomes primer and brow highlight all in one. 05/01/2012

I ordered it and it arrived today but the tube looks more like a sample than an actual product to be sold. Very small considering the $18 price tag.

This is not a sample, the tube is a little small, but you have to remember that a little bit goes a REALLY long way. Hope this helps!

I have problems with very oily eye lids and have a problem with liners running and disappearing by mid day. Will this keep liners in place?

I recommend using the Mineral Veil after you wash and moisturize. It helps soak up the oil. Then I use the eyelid primer for keeping my eye shadow in place and face primer under my eyes. Then I dust Mineral Veil after the rest of my make-up is on. I have a little creasing on the lid by 5:30pm, but that is about 10 hours worth of wear with no problems on my liner.

Hope that helps.

Eye shadow primer will help. If you line your lower lash line, use some there too. Look for stuff with words like long wear and water proof. Ive had great luck with BB (high end brand womans name female makeup artist created brand) gel liners. Gentle and they hold up on my oily lids. If you use powder try something like fix plus instead of water. t@rtE makes liners that last a long time, unfortunately they all look the same once on the lid save black and bronze/brown. I find UD stays true to color and lasts, but sadly something in them really irritates my eyes (if you do not have sensitive watery eyes you may want to try them). Try different kinds/brands of liners. With holidays coming up, no better time with all the high end sets.

I'm in my mid 60s and do not want to use anything that would accentuate my aging skin.
Would really appreciate a list of age appropriate products for aging skin type. I am not seeing reviews by women in my age group (over 55), so I am thinking it might not be an appropriate product line for me. Thanks

Hello there -
I am 53....not quite over 55 but close...and I love the BE products. It's hard to find anything that doesn't settle into aging skin (oh those darn wrinkles!) but I find that by lightly brushing the mineral BE products on my face, I don't have that problem. The eyelid primer is smooth and pretty much disappears into the skin so that the eyeshadow is all you see. I use a little bit of all the BE products from cleansers to moisturizing (although I have oily skin), primers, eyeshadow, foundation, eyeshadows, etc etc and I have never found a product line I loved like I do this one. I have been using it for 2 years now and I will continue to do so! Hope this helps you a bit. You might do what I did at first....I live near Dallas, TX so went to the BE store in Dallas and got a makeover to see how I felt about the products first. Then I ordered one of the "starter" kits and over time tried more products as I loved what I had used and now I'm fully immersed! BE has a few stores throughout the country and if you live near one, I urge you to go in for a makeover. You've got nothing to lose and better skin to gain!
