Prime Time Brightening Eyelid Primer 4.4 5 51 51
Great Base! I love using this product! It works well as a base to my other eyecolors, even gives the matte ones a little sparkle :) My eyecolors didn't really smudge around a lot before, but I definitely notice that they remain more vibrant throughout the workday. If you have a smudging eyeliner issue, this helps the eyeliner stay in place more as well. I really like how I can use it alone too. On my tan skin, it has a translucent gold finish with a slight sheen and some sparkle. The tube is small, but you only need a teeny tiny bit for application. Think less than a drop. I will normally squeeze the tube very gently until I barely see the product come out of the tube, then I use my finger to pick it up and place a few dots on my upper eyelids and use my finger to smooth it out. I let it dry for maybe 30 seconds to a minute before applying my liner and shadow. It is very lightweight and smooth, so I don't even notice when I'm wearing it. And it doesn't make your eyelid stick to your brow bone when you blink, like those glitter gels girls would apply in middle/high school. I gave it 5 hearts because I love this product so much more than I thought I would, but I do not really notice any "brightening" effects unless that advertisement is more so for the vibrancy it provides to the eyecolors. Maybe it is more "brightening" on lighter skin tones? Either way, I'm definitely happy with it and will reorder. 12/03/2014
WONDERFULLY ESCENTUAL I use this primer every day, all by itself -- The gold shimmer is the perfect color for every outfit and it really makes your eyes look brighter. It's also great to add shadow to for all day lasting color. It truly is Escentual!! 11/30/2014
Love the Primer I really like the eyelid primer. It looks pretty when worn by itself & helps eye shadow to stay on the eye all day long. Without it, a few hours later, I couldn't tell I even had shadow on. Great product! 06/02/2014
Love this product alone and with eyeshadow I love the texture & finish of this primer! On days when I go to work or am going for a more casual look, I just wear it alone for a subtle bright eyed shimmery look. I can absolutely tell the difference when I am wearing this primer underneath my eye shadow, the eye shadow goes on smoother, blends better & has such a pretty shimmer to it! Definitely a must have product for me! 05/23/2014
Best primer ever! This is the best eye shadow primer ever and my favorite bare minerals product. It prevents creases and really works. I love that it has a sparkle finish. If you want your eye shadow to stay on all day - buy this. If you want to go out at night and wake up the next morning looking normal - buy this. I slept in this once and someone asked me the next morning if I had applied makeup to come to breakfast. Awesome! 04/30/2014
Even better than the original I already loved the regular formula. Got the brightening in a kit. Wow! Still keeps my eye makeup looking freshly applied all day, but with the added bonus of a hint of sheen. This has become my go-to base color almost everyday. Layers well under the earthy tones I tend to wear for work. I have even worn it alone for a casual bright-eye. Amazing! 02/09/2014
Best eyeshadow primer out there This is by day my favorite primer. The original prime time is too thin. This one is a little thicker and the color is nice enough to wear alone. And it works great for keeping your eye makeup in place. Ok for contacts and sensitive eyes too. 01/01/2014
makes a difference! i got this in a kit and wow, it really makes a difference when you use powder eyeshadows! i don't have the crease lines like i did before using this product. this has long day wear, helps brighten and lighten my eyes and helps conceal the darker circles under my eyes as well. it's creamy, yet not too cakey, and goes on smooth and quick. a little really goes a long way! 11/29/2013
Love it but... The one I had previously bough was large, really large. The one I just received because I think I can't live with it any longer. But... the container holds about 1/3 of the original... with a higher price. And to top if off, it is so thick now, or came semi dried, I don't know, it is very had tor the product to flow and be able to easily apply. I am using it so I won't send it back, but I am terribly dissapointed. It is not passing the same rigorous check before going out to the consumer. Leslie, please, we trust you and want to always be able to trust you!! I just "converted one sister, one friend, and one niece to your products. I really don't like looking back with them. Hope you can fix the problem. I buy everything from you, so is my daughter, and now my granddaughter, plus these other people that are starting now. Please help alll of us and fix this. It is a great product, but I expect you to go back to the larger size, and make it able to easily flow from the tube, not having to squeeze it out like dried out toothpaste. Thank you! Best product ever! I first tried this primer when it debuted in a QVC kit called Rethink Beauty. I have not used anything else ever since. This not only grips your beautiful BE eyeshadows ( or ANY makeup brand) like superglue, but it can also be worn as eyeshadow. It intensifies your eyeshadow and allows the true color to show. Incredibly long wearing, not even a firehose will wipe this off. it cuts my morning routine in half as all I need is this and eyeliner and I'm ready to go =) 07/19/2013

hi there! yes, you would put just a tiny dab of this on your fingertip and apply on your eyelid. i put a little under my eye and in corner by nose, as well to help conceal my dark circles, but that's completely up to you. a little goes a long way in this, so like i said only a tiny dab on your finger tip. let dry for about 30 seconds, then you can add the eyeshadow over it. this helps keep the eyeshadow in place throughout the day and prevents creasing of the pigments in the eyeshadow, as well. hope this helps!

I use my ring finger and it smoothes on perfectly. apply a very TINY amount on your finger and smooth over your entire eyelid. You can add a tiny speck to the inside corners of your eyes to add a brightening effect. It sets quickly and will not budge once dry. Wear alone or add any eyeshadow over the primer.

I ordered it and it arrived today but the tube looks more like a sample than an actual product to be sold. Very small considering the $18 price tag.

I have problems with very oily eye lids and have a problem with liners running and disappearing by mid day. Will this keep liners in place?

I recommend using the Mineral Veil after you wash and moisturize. It helps soak up the oil. Then I use the eyelid primer for keeping my eye shadow in place and face primer under my eyes. Then I dust Mineral Veil after the rest of my make-up is on. I have a little creasing on the lid by 5:30pm, but that is about 10 hours worth of wear with no problems on my liner.

Hope that helps.

Eye shadow primer will help. If you line your lower lash line, use some there too. Look for stuff with words like long wear and water proof. Ive had great luck with BB (high end brand womans name female makeup artist created brand) gel liners. Gentle and they hold up on my oily lids. If you use powder try something like fix plus instead of water. t@rtE makes liners that last a long time, unfortunately they all look the same once on the lid save black and bronze/brown. I find UD stays true to color and lasts, but sadly something in them really irritates my eyes (if you do not have sensitive watery eyes you may want to try them). Try different kinds/brands of liners. With holidays coming up, no better time with all the high end sets.

I'm in my mid 60s and do not want to use anything that would accentuate my aging skin.
Would really appreciate a list of age appropriate products for aging skin type. I am not seeing reviews by women in my age group (over 55), so I am thinking it might not be an appropriate product line for me. Thanks

Hello there -
I am 53....not quite over 55 but close...and I love the BE products. It's hard to find anything that doesn't settle into aging skin (oh those darn wrinkles!) but I find that by lightly brushing the mineral BE products on my face, I don't have that problem. The eyelid primer is smooth and pretty much disappears into the skin so that the eyeshadow is all you see. I use a little bit of all the BE products from cleansers to moisturizing (although I have oily skin), primers, eyeshadow, foundation, eyeshadows, etc etc and I have never found a product line I loved like I do this one. I have been using it for 2 years now and I will continue to do so! Hope this helps you a bit. You might do what I did at first....I live near Dallas, TX so went to the BE store in Dallas and got a makeover to see how I felt about the products first. Then I ordered one of the "starter" kits and over time tried more products as I loved what I had used and now I'm fully immersed! BE has a few stores throughout the country and if you live near one, I urge you to go in for a makeover. You've got nothing to lose and better skin to gain!
