Prime Time BB Primer-Cream Daily Defense Broad Spectrum Spf 30 - null
The Primer to end all Primers
I love love LOVE this primer. It is so silky smooth; it applies like a dream. It has decent coverage. You can wear it alone or as a primer under the foundation. And I adore the fact that is has SPF 30. That is the highest spf Bare Minerals offers and what a wonderful product to have it in! And now that they've extended the shades, anyone is set.
Great product. Please improve packaging.
I love this product as it is a wonderful sunscreen with no irritation plus reasonable coverage and feels great on the skin. However, it is nearly impossible to get it out of the container. Bare Minerals is usually so responsive to customer feedback. Please, please improve!!
I won't use anything else
I am in absolute LOVE with this product. I refuse to wear anything else on my skin anymore. I used to suffer from TERRIBLE breakouts. Then, I switched over to Bare Minerals. At first I was using the foundation, but then I discovered this and now it's all I use. I put a drop of this on, with bronzer, blush, mineral veil, and then flawless radiance for a complete look. OBSESSED.
Needs to be in a squeeze tube
I love the coverage & protection & the smooth & silky feel. BUT the pump is useless. When is the Bare Essentials team going to listen to the feed back & change the packaging?
Did You Forget About The Dark Complexions? :(
I am a new member of the Bare Minerals family. I have adult acne prone skin that I was able to get under control with the help of my fabulous dermatologist Dr. Dans in San Francisco! It was his suggestion that I use Bare Minerals products if I were going to use any make up at all.
On my second visit to the Bare Mineral Boutique, I racked up just about $300.00 worth of products! That should tell you how much I LOVE this stuff. I particularly have an obsession with the foundation and finishing products. As a black woman, I was so happy to see that there are options for women of color. Due to the wide range of ethnic backgrounds black people are made up of, we range in many colors all over the charts from almost white to ebony chocolate! I was happy to purchase my daughter light products for her fair skin, and tan products for my golden brown complexion.
I was REALLY excited to try out the Prime Time BB Primer, because I'm not really a foundation junky, unless I'm going out for the night. I was eager, to find a prodcut that moisturized without clogging pores, and provide minimal coverage for blemishes, with broad spectrum SPF protection. Although I'm a darker complexion, broad spectrum is important to me, to prevent hyper-pigmentation of my risidual acne blemishes. I just wanted something that I can slap on in the morning, and add a little lip gloss & go!
Well, I tried the Prime Time BB Primer on in medium, and it slightly matched my complexion, but was just a tad bit too light. It kind of made my skin look ashy. I was really dissapointed. Especially considering all of the wonderful colors the foundations come in, that range all over the board from very light to very dark. I thought, what happened here?
Many people say that the darker you are, the less sun protection is needed, due to the natural high production of melanin in people with darker complexions. This may be true, but I particularly need protection to keep my acne scars from gettin worse.
I can only imagine that it would'nt be cost effective to create a primer in every shade, but I think there should at least be a LIGHT, MEDIUM & DARK.
I'd love to give this five hearts, but I'm sad that I cant use the product, and my complexion has been left out of the equation. :(
Love the product, but the packaging is terrible!
Like many other reviewers, I really like the BB Primer-Cream but hate how it's packaged! The pump worked fine for awhile, but then started squirting out oily liquid all over my counter. I don't even bother with the pump anymore and use my fingers to get it out. I would like to continue buying, but doubt I will since it's so inconvenient to use.
the best primer yet!!
wondered if i could buy by the gallon!!!! went on like a dream felt great all day!!!
Pump does not work, becomes clumpy
The texture of this product is nice- smooth and creamy. It does an adequate job for a primer. I've had better ones in the past, but seeing as this is an "all in one" product, I wasn't expecting an amazing finish. The sheer color is nice- most of the time, I end up wearing this instead only- just throw it on and run out the door. The pump quick working after the first week. Now, I have to take off the top and scoop it out with my finger. Most of the product is clumpy and difficult to reach. Very poor packaging, and I probably won't be able to use all of it.
I bought this in Medium color primarily because of the sun protection. I am allergic to parabens and phenoxethanol and I can use this product. It is smooth and silky. We recently returned from a vacation in Hawaii. I wore this every day (without foundation) with just a little blush. Never any sunburn and my skin looked better when I returned than when I left! For me, this is one of the best products you offer!
More a concealer than a primer and useless pump
Previously used the Prime Time Foundation Primer which I received in my starter kit. This is a clear, thin, silky formula that is easily spread over the face with fingers. As it is a sample size in a soft, plastic squeezable tube, I have not had any experience with how well or not its full-sized pump container functions.
However I have had experience with the BB primer-cream pump container. What a mess. Initial use required pumping and pumping and pumping when eventually the one expected drop ended up being a huge amount that squirted/sprayed out all over my bathroom counter, sink and even wall missing my finger poised to receive the expected drop. Joke was the salesperson suggested I try just 1/2 a drop first.
I also think that calling this product a primer is a misname. I think "concealer" would be a much better description. I use the Original powder foundation in Medium Beige and purchased the new bareSkin liquid foundation at salesperson's recommendation in 08 Bare Beige so I purchased the concealer---oops, I mean primer--in medium. I used the stem of the pump to place a very small dab on each cheek and then used my fingers to spread over my face. Even though more of the product was on my fingers than face I still obtained a very heavy coverage more like a concealer or even foundation. I also felt that if made my wrinkles, especially my forehead, appear more prominently. Applying either the Original powder foundation or the new liquid foundation over this "primer" is just too much unless you have a lot of discolorations or blemishes.
I love the clear primer and will stick with it as my face just does not require that much concealer although I am hesitant about the pump bottle that it also comes in. The squeeze tube the sample comes in works great. Maybe the packaging for the full sized should be the same as the packaging used for the sample.
