Tips & Tricks

    NATURAL BEAUTY
  • To create the look of naturally lush lashes, dot eyeliner in between upper lashes, working color right into the base of lashes. Blend lightly with smudge tip for fuller-looking fringe.

  • FINE LINE
  • Start with a freshly sharpened pencil. Hold eyeliner at a 90-degree angle and slowly apply along upper lash line for ultimate precision. Begin at the inner corner of eyelid and follow the lash line to the outer corner of the eye for a crisp, clean line.

  • UP IN SMOKE
  • Master the art of the smoky eye. Apply eyeliner at a flat angle along upper and lower lash lines, beginning at the inner corner of eye and working your way out, for a bold, thick line. Blend with smudge tip for a smoldering blur of color.

Lasting Line Long-Wearing Eyeliner - null 3.5 5 105 106
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this Eyeliner! I've been wearing nothing but Bare Minerals makeup for over ten years now. Years ago, Bare Minerals made a similar eyeliner that was discontinued. I was so disappointed but then I found this. I wear Forever Brandy, a perfect brownish-burgundy-plum color. It's easy and quick to use every time, lasts all day and washes off with soap and water. Please Bare Minerals, never stop making this! 01/24/2016
Pretty Good It will last all day. At least it did for me. I didn't like how nice and sharp it was, then after the first use it was flat and thick. It goes on light and feel nice. I know I am going to mess up when I try and use it again. lol I haven't used the smug side, so I can review that. Hope the picture helps. I am also wearing Modern pop Express Yourself Lip Stick..love it 01/04/2016
fabulous I ordered a pack of these eyeliners on cyber monday---I received 10 liners in different shades of brown, grey, black, blue and green. They are amazing! They glide on smoothly and do not rub off even after a full day of working and working out. I highly recommend them in any color---I am blonde with blue eyes so I wear the black for going out and the brown shades for everyday, depending on my eyeshadow colors. One other thing--they're waterproof (comes off with vaseline and makeup remover) so you don't have to worry about things smudging if you're stuck walking home in the rain or sweating at the gym. They also don't "bleed" onto your lower lash line if you choose to tightline. I have almost all the colors except purple, which I would love to try. 12/27/2015
Great eyeliner! This is the best eyeliner I've found for everyday, not too bold although I guess you could make it bolder by applying more. Stays on all day, like the smudger on other end. Have black, going to order brown next. 12/02/2015
My favorite eyeliner. I love this eyeliner and it does last a long time. I have used this or a version of this for years from BareMinerals, however my last two orders i have noticed that it barely lasts a month, when one used to last 3 months, so i'm pretty disappointed that they are cutting the length of the stick and i'm paying the same price. 11/30/2015
At LONG LAST!!! I received this as a gift and figured it would be just like the last five types of liner I've tried. SURPRISE - it really is LONG LASTING! It goes on beautifully and can be left solid to form a bold look, or blended for something more subtle. I can honestly say I will be purchasing this liner as long as it is available. My next purchase will be something in a brown. :) 11/17/2015
Disappointed in this liner I received the Lasting Line eyeliner pencil in Endless Orchid as my bareMinerals FAB free birthday gift. Honestly, I am glad I didn't pay anything for it, because it's been a complete disappointment. Usually I use bareMineral's powder liner and brush to line my eyes because I get the best look with that, but when traveling or in a hurry, I use their Big & Bright eyeliner pencil (in Granite), so I do have some frame of reference to compare liner pencils. I believe the Big & Bright version is now discontinued, which is a shame, because I like it so much better than this Lasting Line. First of all, the Lasting Line broke the very first time I tried to use it. It gives me an okay line on my upper lid, though I wish it were darker. That could be because of the color, I guess, though other than that I think the Endless Orchid is a nice enough color. It doesn't pull my eyelid, which I like, but the line fades very quickly. My biggest problem with this liner, though, is that I cannot get a line on my lower lid at all! The Big & Bright draws just fine along my lash line, but this one doesn't show up, and even clumps in the lashes sometimes. Big disappointment. I do like the built-in sharpener and the idea of a smudging tool, but the actual smudger is better on the Big & Bright because it's more of a blender-sponge material versus the more solid rubber on the Lasting Line. Overall, a big disappointment - when I need the speed of a pencil liner, I will be sticking to my Big & Bright and once I've used that up, I'm not sure what I'll do, but you can bet I won't be buying a Lasting Line pencil. 11/17/2015
Smooth and long lasting This eyeliner goes on smooth and lasts all day. I also love the blending tool on the other end to get different looks. 11/09/2015
Love it Love the mascara it stays on for quite a while and doesn't bother my eyes like a lot of mascaras do 10/22/2015
Wears well - even at the barn Love this eyeliner! Easy to apply, stays on all day. I work at a horse barn so it is essential that any makeup I wear can withstand sweat and dirt. This does the trick. It's not too intense so it is just right for everyday wear. 10/20/2015

I would guess that it's because it's a waterproof product. I've only used on upper lid.

If you are referring to trying to use this liner on your lower water line, then I would say that you are doing nothing wrong as I've had the exact same problem. It does not seem to go on well in that area, and even if you get it on it seems to fade in less than an hour. I'd recommend using a different liner for water lines because this one just doesn't seem to want to go there.

I wish it'd auto-sharpen. The "built-in" sharpener is a tiny useless plastic thing that slides out of the end. It's connected to the smudger.

Unlike the other two who answered this question, I've had the exact opposite experience from them. This liner literally will not go on my lower waterline at all. I have used a lot of other liners for my waterline and have not had an issue with them (so I don't think I am completely doing it wrong haha). Basically the one time I actually got this liner to finally smooth on my lower waterline, it faded in less than an hour. I only use this liner for non-waterline purposes because of this.

I just posted my review on this. THAT is exactly what I love about this product. It is the ONLY eyeliner that EVER stays on my waterline.

The trick is to pull down the lower lid with your finger, blink once or twice to get away any wetness (it needs to be dry to apply), then apply as usual and you're good to go. Works all day for me!

I find this to be VERY creamy, but lasting! I find it to go on smoothly and without much tugging at all. I dont think you would Need to use moisturizer, but you could.

I've applied it both after moisturizer, without moisturizer, AND on top of dry/powdery shadow and it works great.

I do find this liner pretty creamy. Go into the store and try it. I'm 67. The only thing I found is that the sage color isn't very visible unless you layer it on top of a darker color. The best way to know is to try it.
