  • Texture Guide

Matte: Our most opaque eyeshadow. Incredibly creamy color with a rich, velvety finish.

Sheen: Satiny soft and sheer with a touch of glow. Wear it dry for whisper effects, or wet for a more opaque sheen.

Shimmer: High intensity shimmer. Can be softer and more translucent when worn dry, but creates an opaque wash of high sheen-known as foiling-when worn wet.

  • Benefits

    • Easy to apply and blend seamlessly
    • No pulling or tugging of the eye area
    • Use alone or mixed together with other bareMinerals colors to customize shades as you desire
    • Dermatologist tested
    • Ophthalmologist tested
    • Safe for contact lens wearers
  • Turn on the gleam.

Channel your inner drama queen with a technique created by Bare Escentuals called "foiling." It's as easy as applying your eyeshadow with a dampened brush, and it creates a lustrous, light-reflective glow to your eyes when layered over or under other shadows.

  • Double your options.

You can use most of our Eyecolors wet or dry for different looks. Dampening the brush provides a more striking, opaque application, while using it dry creates a softer look.

Hummingbird Color - great color but not for me I had to give it 5 hearts because there's nothing wrong with it, like the other eye colors it glides on gracefully and is a great product - it's just not the color for me. It's too peachy and I'm not into peachy, I like more earthy tones. I hesitated when I bought it because it said it was in the peach family but the picture made it look somewhat brownish too so I decided to try it. It's going back. But it would be a great color for anyone who likes peachy colors, it's not a bright peachy, it's a dark peachy but peachy nevertheless! 02/28/2013
Sterling Silver I received a Sterling Silver eyecolor with my last purchase from Bare Minerals, and I have to say it is gorgeous! I wear fairly light in original in the winter, and in the summer I wear light in matte. I have gray eyes and brunette hair. I put Sterling Silver all over my eyelid yesterday and put Princess eyecolor on my brow bone, and that combination looked amazing against my gray eyes! The shimmer in Sterling Silver is very striking, and I didn't have any movement of the sparkles throughout the day. 02/21/2013
Soft Focus Explore is awesome This is listed as Soft Focus, but it's actually Soft Focus Explore for those who may be searching for it. Can't understand why this shade is being discontinued. It's a versatile medium brown color that doesn't have any reddish undertones to it. Perfect for a natural make-up look and a great crease color. It's also matte with no sparkles, so women of any age or any occupation can wear this. It looks great in the crease with Peach Puff on the lid and Vanilla Sugar on the brow bone. I have been looking for a matte crease color that's natural looking and not too dark or harsh. This suits perfectly and can be dressed up or down. Drama is one of my favorite crease colors, but it has sparkles so isn't always appropriate. This is a fantastic alternative. 12/13/2012
like the gold glints This can be played up to be very dramatic or just used for a little emphasis. The gold flecks are nice. 11/08/2012
Last chance colors I'm reviewing multiple colors of the last chance colors. I have pale skin and use Fair Matte. That being said, if I don't like the color because of my pale skin and you have darker skin, you will probably love those colors. Oasis (glimmer) - nice light moss green that is shiny. Maybe you can call it a yellow-green. I believe it is in the glimmer category. I really like using this color either alone or with Oz. It also looks lovely wet. Reflection (matte) - great base color for paler skin tones. Matte and very light blue tint. Energy (glitter) - didn't like this too much so I used it for eye liner. Very, very glittery and messy! I think mine wasn't full but I also lost some because this color is so messy. Almost used it all up due to this. Mojito (glitter) - not crazy about this as even on my pale skin it does not show up much. I use it for a base instead. Probably looks better on tan or dark complexions. Merlot (glitter) - definitely a glitter color and probably great for medium to dark skin tones. Bought as a gift that I can't give because my friend is allergic. I haven't made up my mind so haven't opened it yet. It is a very pretty purple-red color. Graphite (matte) - bought this as a gift too, nice dark grey color. This should be nice for eye liner or on dark skin tones. I think it is too dark for me. Serenity (matte) - I love this color! I can put it on lightly all over my lid or in the crease or put it on wet and heavy as a liner. This is a very versatile medium brown color. 11/06/2012
