High Shine Eyecolor - null
Please don't get rid of High Shine Eyecolor!
High Shine Eyecolor is so convenient and the colors are so fun and vibrant. While the application can be a bit messy, the amazing and long lasting color is worth it. I'm so sad that these are in the Last Chance Section because this is a wonderful product. I have not yet tried the BB Cream Eyeshadow but I am hoping they are just as good. I hope the selection of the BB Cream Eyeshadow adds colors that are more fun like the High Shine Eyecolor.
Great product, but colors don't match online listing photos
I had a light brown of this that I completely used up because it was so awesome, but they don't make that color any more, so I ordered Patina in the hopes that it would replace it fairly well. The photos online match almost precisely with what I used to have. However, when it arrived, it was dark green and not at all the golden brown that is pictured. I ended up really liking the color and decided to keep it, but I probably won't order anything else online from Bare Escentuals because I feel like I won't be getting a product that matches my expectations.
Made my eyes itch real bad
I bought 2 of these several years ago, but I had some reaction that made my eyelids itch, really bad. I should have sent it back for a refund, but I threw it away. It's expensive, and I haven't had any irritation problems with any of the other products. It was beautiful on, but I sure couldn't enjoy it with all the itching involved. :(
Beautiful colors, but a little messy.
I tend to stick to neutral colored eye shadows, so I decided to try patina. I love the color, but the applicator seems cheap and causes the color to get dusted all over my face. However, If you use your own brushes, it completely gets rid of the problem. I would definitely use a primer underneath these though.
Sorry that original shades are no longer available
I have a real problem with Bare Escentruals pulling product that I really love. The original color of this product was not even given a color name, but it is a light shell pink that looked great with everything. I am actually switching to a product from England manufactured by Boots - their No. 7 line because of the stability of product. Bare Escentuals gets you hooked on something you really love and then all of a sudden it is gone forever. Not happy!
Love the metallics!
These are wonderful eye shadows. One swipe across each lid and I'm done! It can get messy when 1st starting but once you get the application technique down you're all set.
Love the color!
I ordered Moonshine and Vapor, and they're great! Wish there was a golden type of color available. Vapor gives you a perfect smokey eye with some black liner and mascara. Moonshine is more like a soft pink with a lot of sheen to it. It's more shiny than glittery, as though the glitter was mixed in homogeneous rather than randomly sprinkled like most eye shadows.
Application process is easy, I like the built-in wand that comes with it. You do need to scrape off excess before application, or it will get everywhere. Probably best to wait to do any concealer or under-eye stuff until after you've applied this shadow. Very easy to remove with almost any eye makeup remover.
I'm giving it three stars because it's messy. I don't like that when I come home from work the shadow has migrated to my lower lid. I'm picky that way, I like my eyeshadow on my actual eyelid and I like it to stay there. But no matter what I seem to do, I have yet to find a remedy to this. I wish the Velvet Eyecolor line made some sparkly shadows rather than matte (don't let the pictures fool you), because I don't seem to have that problem with them.
love this eye shadow---have several colors and would buy more in a heartbeat....the one way to get the best look with these shadows is you must use the eye lid primer--it really gives these shadows so much depth!!
Everybody Needs at least One
First time I've used this and I love it. Goes on easily, never smears and last all day into the night. I ordered the Moonlight and looking for more colors. Blends great with other colors as for under brow and lower lashes. Try it - you will like it.
Quite lovely once you get the hang of it!
I've got several of these in various colors and love all of them. I personally think they're easier than the loose powder pots, but the applicator definitely has its limitations....which are easily solved by using a brush. I still have to use primer with these despite these being long-wearing, otherwise they crease in about 4 hours...though with a primer they last until I clean them off.
