Q & A

Handy Buki Brush is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 45.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy!! I LOVE all of Bare Minerals products except for this one! I bought this brush and I have had so many problems with the bristles falling out, bristles sticking to my face, having WAY too much makeup on the brush that it leaves a hug dark spot on my face, and it does not clean well. When I tried to clean it, a bunch of the bristles in the middle got all clumped and stuck together and so the brush applies unevenly now. The brush is also really rough which is also a downside. I say look into another brush, this one is not worth the cost.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Still of use after 8 years!!! I purchased this brush many years ago when I wore makeup everyday..These past few years I am mainly a concealer and sometimes bronzer lady..and although I use it less these days..this brush sheds a lot!!!.I now exclusively use cornstarch powder to keep clean instead of any type of wet solutons.Because it is not synthetic it still will shed a little but because of the can wisp it off your face pretty easy.Plus the shedding does not hinder the wonderful coverage. This year I will be trying a synthetic brush when I purchase my bronzer to use alongside this brush. It is still a keeper.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from piece of junk! The first brush I have actually bought from Bare Minerals, outside of what came in my starter kit. From all the great reviews, I thought this would be a nice upgrade. First, the bristles are a lot lighter colored than what is in the picture - more of a yellow color - and the texture is very rough. My biggest complaint is that bristles fall out EVERYWHERE. I thought perhaps this would stop after some time, but after several weeks I still have this problem. This morning I picked FIFTEEN bristles off of my face after applying the original foundation. I have to remove them one by one with tweezers since they stick to my skin. Sometimes I find them on my shirts, too. I can't believe so many people love this brush! Probably my last brush purchase from BM.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bristles fall out It gives good coverage but the bristles fall out as I'm using it and have to be picked off my skin. This didn't happen in the store when they applied the foundation. I've had it for over a month now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handy buki best brush hands down. I had been using the full flawless face to achieve the full coverage and found myself reapplying 3 times and using a ton of foundation powder with it to achieve the coverage I need for my uneven red acne prone skin. I bought this brush based on the stellar reviews and I'm so glad i did! One rim tap of the matte powder foundation to the lid after I apply a the oil control primer and ready color corrector (only on qvc) and I get full flawless coverage. Its so soft and it's made my foundation last longer. I now use the full flawless for my miner veil (which ever one I'm in the mood for, illuminating, tinted, brightening gold, balance&boost, or original) and use the small flawless for my warmth if I opt to use it. I love how natural of full coverage this brush give me!!! For the reviewer who said it made her orange after using her mom's brush, you either didn't clean all your mom's foundation off of it or you are using the wrong color foundation with too heavy of a hand. Used properly this brush will provide medium to full coverage, which compared to other brushes, it picks up more the first pass in your lid than the others and hold more in the brush.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Blush and Bronzer I've actually never used it as a foundation brush. I use it for my blush mostly and bronzer it works so well on that, I absolutely love it. Perfect for the apples of my cheeks and the hollows of my face.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Handy Buki Brush While this brush has the wonderfully soft, full feel of the other brushes, I found that it really eats up the foundation powder: I 'go through' a good 1/3 more powder when using this brush vs the Flawless Application brush. I would not recommend it to a friend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Way to Get a Natural Look I absolutely love this brush. I tried it once as a foundation application brush and it looked so much more natural than when I used the brushes from the kit (not that those brushes were bad, though). Since I am more of a "natural look" kind of girl, this brush works amazingly! I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a way to achieve a natural look!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PERFECT foundation brush I was using the Flawless Application Face Brush at first because that was what came in my original starter kit. It was a good brush but I would have to go over parts of my face a few times to get the coverage I wanted. THEN I bought the Handy Buki Brush. OMG. I apply my foundation (Original Luminous Powder Foundation- Medium Beige) so much faster. I really need to just go over my face once and it's covered. LOVE. I now use my Flawless Application Face Brush for applying Warmth. THIS IS A MUST HAVE BRUSH- YOUR GO TO FOUNDATION BRUSH for powder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Handy Buki Brush for Great Coverage! If your like me that likes light to medium coverage, but for certain occasions or once in a while you would like full coverage, then this is definitely a must in your brush collection. Why?, because it's super soft, it's great at buffing and delivers excellent coverage. I use it with my matte foundation and the results are amazing! You won't be disappointed!

Q & A

Is there a difference in coverage between the handy buki brush and the full coverage buki brush?

Or is it just the handle?
Asked by: ddlshop
They both shed after a while which I have come to expect from non synthetic brushes but the full coverage one sheds more..

How does this brush compare to the heavenly face brush?

They almost look like the same brush to me. I have the heavenly face brush and I'm not a huge fan of the brush. I feel like the application is a bit cakey. The catalog suggested the full flawless face brush was a medium coverage and this brush was full. How is the coverage?
Asked by: Anonymous
I have the heavenly face brush, too. I'd definitely choose handy buki over heavenly face. I agree the heavenly face can give caky coverage. The handy buki is just so much easier to use- it's seriously worth switching to handy buki especially if you want full coverage without looking caky!
