THE TECHNIQUE: Rich color is applied to eyelids and lash base, then is blended and diffused outward for a smoky look.

THE EFFECT: Sultry, smoldering, smoked-out eyes.

THE APPLICATION: Fill in the eyelid and the lash base area with eyeshadow, then softly diffuse color up and out. For a more defined effect, boldly line upper and lower lash line with a rich smoky shade, then blend color outward. Color should appear most concentrated on lid or lash base, then fade softly as it moves away from the eye.

STEP 1: Press MINGLE EYESHADOW onto inner eyelids and inner corners of eyes using a firm, TAPERED EYESHADOW BRUSH.
STEP 2: Apply LIGHTS DOWN EYESHADOW onto outer lids and crease line and blend with a soft TAPERED EYESHADOW BRUSH.
STEP 3: Buff ROWDY EYESHADOW into the full crease line and along lower lash line with a soft, TAPERED EYESHADOW BRUSH.
STEP 4: Dust CHEERS EYESHADOW onto brow bone with the FULL TAPERED SHADOW BRUSH.
STEP 5: Blend LIGHTS DOWN EYESHADOW along lower lash line with the tip of the FULL TAPERED SHADOW BRUSH for a smoky effect.

Full Tapered Shadow Brush 4.8 5 4 4

Quality I just received this today and it's in the rose handle. It's so pretty! And very soft! I haven't even used it yet and I know it'll be a hit. BE products are awesome and I've been dying for this Bare Minerals READY Blush to come out tomorrow. I've been waiting a week and I have to try it. If READY comes out with a solid version of the Original and Matte foundation, I'm going to be ALL over it! 02/29/2012

Don't Try BE Shadows Without This Great Brush! Not so long ago, I was a huge fan of all things BE *EXCEPT* for the eyeshadows. They were too messy to apply. I felt bad when I'd walk into a BE boutique (what I call "Eyeshadow Heaven")... so many great colors that didn't work for me. I had other brands of shadow brushes; I thought they were all more or less the same. It never occured to me that it might be my brush that was effecting the shadow application. Then along came this nifty little brush in a kit & I gave my BE eyeshadow another try. What a difference it made! It's a bit stiff, but I think that keeps it from picking up too much of the highly-pigmented eyeshadow. BE shadow brushes are the only brushes to use with BE eyeshadows. They apply perfectly with them. Maybe it's the natural hair versus synthetic? I don't know, but you must have this shadow brush in order to fully enjoy BE's plethora of heavenly eye colors. Needless to say, I now have a multitude of BE eyeshadows in my collection. :) 03/08/2011

This brush is a bit stiffer than some so it works well if you are patting on your color. I would not really use it to sweep on the eyeshadow color as much, but you could. 12/22/2010

Hello there!

Which brush to use for Well Rested? It depends. If you are wearing Well Rested as an eyeshadow, use an eyeshadow brush. If you are using it to cover dark/red spots and/or blemishes, use the Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush. If you are wearing Well Rested under your foundation (*sparingly*, for extra oomph as a brightener), use the regular old Flawless Face Brush.

One note: If you are fair, try using Well Rested as a concealer rather than Bisque. I'm extremely fair, and Bisque is a bit too dark for me. Well Rested is the perfect shade. It is a true multi-tasking product: an eyeshadow, concealer, redness reducer, brightener, etc. One of the most useful & versatile products BE makes, for sure! I love this stuff.
