Full Flawless Face Brush 2.8 5 82 82
Now I know why my face itches every time I appy This came in my kit and did not mention it was goat hair. I think for those of us allergic it should be mentioned LOUDLY!!! Here I was thinking it was my makeup and was not going to be able to use it. 04/07/2014
Terrible brush If you're anything like me, you will quickly tire of having to lint roll your clothes, worse, pick the bristles out of your eyeball when they fall out. Love bareMinerals, but HATE this brush. Don't buy it. If you bought a kit that contains this brush, plan on needing to invest in a better one. 03/01/2014
Good product it gives a very good finish it also sheds every now and then but blends my make up so well one of my favorite makeup brushes it's a bit price but is worth the money 01/06/2014
love this brush!! I've had this brush for almost three years and it is still a great brush! I need full coverage to cover acne scars and this is the only brush that has worked for me. Yes, it does shed, but I don't even care about that because overall it is a great brush and it has still stayed the same after three years of using and washing it!! 12/08/2013
Full Flawless Face Brush Like its smaller counterpart, the Flawless Face Brush, I have a love/hate relationship with this brush. On the one hand, it provides great coverage for my MATTE foundation; it blends it well into my skin and gives me the flawless, medium-coverage look I want. On the other hand, it does shed quite a bit; also, after washing it, it loses some of its integrity and fans out. Overall, this brush does what it is supposed to do; I just wish for a staple brush in their collection that the bristles would be a little more comfortable - maybe with synthetic bristles. 12/03/2013
Great brush; didn't work well w/ READY foundation I LOVE this brush... but I use the READY compact foundations, so this created a "hole" in my foundations as I would use it. Which is okay, but now that I've hit pan, its a pain to get the foundation on the brush evenly without ripping chunks out of the foundation READY compact. So, while I love the amount of coverage this brush provides, I think it is much more compatible with the containers of foundation. I don't really want to use the Precision Face Brush, as that's too thick of an application for me. So, I guess I have to deal witht he way this wonderful brush annihilates my READY compact. 12/03/2013
save your money!! I spent $28.00 plus tax for this brush that sheds all over my face and the handle fell off!! I do not use make up every day so I really expected it to last more than a couple of months!! Save your money!! If there was a negative rating box for this product, I would give it a -5!! xo . s 10/21/2013
SHEDS!!! I can't believe this is $28! I have never had such a horrible brush! I can't even put on my makeup without the brush hair getting all over my face, shirt, etc.! I would love if I could get a credit or be allowed to return my brush so I could get something else. Please stop selling this brush, and if you're thinking about buying this DON'T! 10/02/2013
Terrible!!!! This is an awful brush. I have had it for 3mos and it sheds terribly!! It came in a kit I bought. Wish I had know about the return policy when I bought it from a BM boutique. I would have gotten something different. I do not recommend this to anyone and sincerely hope BM takes this out of their starter kits. 08/28/2013
B.E. BRUSHES It's so unfortunate that this brush comes in the kit, let alone exists at all. It drives me crazy when I see the worthwhile products a brand can churn out, then send this worthless brush to everyone. Synthetic hair, such as Taklon, is usually your best bet versus an animal hair brush. I would trust the reviews on here as far as brushes go if you're uncertain. This Full Flawless Face Brush gets one star from me because it's rough and sheds on every use. And because you can pay for one the same amount with reviewers raving about it. It should be discontinued now and forever. The Brushes in this line are impressive, with almost as many options as makeup artist–driven lines such as M.A.C. Unfortunately, many of them use hair that isn’t as soft as it could be, or they aren’t shaped as well as others. Among the best options are the Precision Liner Brush ($12); Soft Focus Liner, and Soft Focus Shadow brushes($22-$24); *Blending Brush ($18), *Flawless Application Face Brush ($22), *Eye Defining Brush ($16), *Tapered Shadow Brush ($14),*Wet/Dry Shadow Brush ($18), Eyeliner Brush ($12), and Crease Defining Brush ($18). *Blending Brush is made of pony and goat hair, but seems to be a quality exception. *Flawless Application Face Brush is made of goat hair. Works, but sheds enough to upset users, and most would rather use a kabuki brush anyway. *Eye Defining Brush is made of pony hair, but no reviews have stated it sheds at all. *Tapered Shadow Brush is made of goat, ox and pony hair, no reviews claim it sheds. *Wet/Dry Shadow Brush is made of pony hair. From the praises, this looks to be a must-have. *Crease Defining Brush is made of goat hair. No shedding, no complaints. 07/03/2013

I have had the same issue when I first bought the kit. I think it has something to do with the amount of brushes that are made for the kits. When I bought the full size version, the shedding did not occur.

Try searching the md formulations collection and search for products for acne. Bare Escentuals has a way of improving skin, so using md formulations would be great for your skin. Foundation wise, I would use a precision concealer brush. It's smaller than the max coverage concealer brush so you get to have more "precision" on those small or tricky spots on your face.

This brush is very irritating to me. Go buy a softer brush. You'll be happier. I did.

Make sure you're cleaning your brushes when you can. Also when you do the swirl tap and buff motion, you don't have to press too hard or swirl too vigorously. Less is more because you really wanna buff the product into your face good. Depending on how much you use your brushes, you can use the quick change shampoo for your brushes or you can use the well cared for shampoo and let your brushes soak BRISTLES DOWN and when you clean them, make sure the bristles are always pointed downward. Don't dry them with a blow dryer, let them lay flat on a face towel on a flat surface and let them naturally dry so make sure you are doing this at a time where u know you won't be wearing makeup the next day because I usually wash mine monthly because I don't put on makeup that much. I work with kids so they could care less how I look usually lol. The brushes to me are fine and if the brushes feel rough, you can always put primer on your face or a nice moisturizer so that will counteract how it feels against your skin.

My brushes from the Get Started Kit lasted me around 6 years with everyday use. If you notice your makeup is not covering the way it once did, that's how you know you need a new brush.

I asked a BE rep about this last month and she told me that after 5 years, it may be time for an upgrade on replacing your items. The brush shampoo works well. Once a month cleaning it is good unless you use it a lot then I would wash it twice a month. I don't use makeup much, so I used my Full Flawless Application Face Brush a few times and then years later I felt I need to wear makeup again because my youth is gone at the age of 26 already and I'll be 27 later this year. I like the Handy Buki Brush for foundation coverage. Try it...you should like it. It's smaller than this brush, but I'm able to control how much I put on and I feel the makeup has a better chance of being applied evenly and flawlessly.

Hey,
So, I believe that it all depends on the type of brush, how you take care of it, and how long you have had it. It sounds like you take care of your brushes, just make sure to be gentle when washing them. I think Leslie has a video on how it should be done. It sounds like you need a new brush. If it is not giving you the same coverage it used to maybe it is time for another. Hope this is helpful! Good luck!

It depends on how often you use the brush. I've found that when I was the brush with the bareminerals shampoo, I use an eyelash comb thingy to comb it out and then shape it with my fingers and let it air dry. My brush lasted about 3 years.
