LOVE This Product I have had acne since my early teens and have used almost every product out there to treat it including Neutrogena, Clinique, Biore and even ProActive. Nothing helped and usually made my acne worse. This is the first product to genuinely work for me. I have sensitive skin that is oily but drys out easily especially while using other products. I use this both morning and night and not only does it control my acne but it clears it up and improves my skin. My skin has honestly never looked better! I highly recommend this product as a little goes a very long way. I use this along with the deep cleansing wash and I'm so happy with the results. 09/27/2012
LOVE this product I am 22 years old and occasionally break out now and then. I am a perfectionist when it comes to my skin and after spending costly amounts on dermatologist prescriptions I found this product. It is AMAZING. It works fast and gets your skin clear in no time. I always buy two just so I have a back-up in case I run out! I highly recommend. 04/10/2013
over 55 I am over 55 now and for some reason have started having acne problems. I received this product as a free trial a few years back and it helped me at that time. When the breakouts started again, I remembered this and went back to using this product. It is wonderful at clearing blemishes up quickly! 03/24/2013
Great blemish treatment product As someone who is being treated professionally for acne, I love this product. When you see a blemish about to sneak up on you, brush a little of this on in the beginning and it helps stop the blemish in it's tracks. Another thing to love about this product is if you need to head out without make-up on, this product does help conceal a bit. 03/04/2013
Not bad Now this will work on most pimples not blackheads/ whiteheads or cystic. ( at lease on my face) That's why a 4 not a 5. Works very well on those monthly pimples that pop up also. Will clam the redness and tenderness quickly within a day or so pimples are usually gone. Plus the soothing feeling helps while it heels. I layer it under my foundation with no issues. Nice little kit and last a while brush is soft enough not to irritate your skin plus it's nice to have a separate brush just for blemish needs. 02/27/2013
Exceeded My Expectations I have been battling more blemishes as an adult in my late 20s than I ever did in my teen years. I've tried drug store acne washes and creams, even Proactive but I'm left out with dried out skin, and sometimes oily patches. I love the BareEscentuals skin care line and now use that exclusively except when I have really, really bad break outs. My face has been broken out for the last 4 weeks and has not responded to anything. After visiting a BareMinerals Boutique the sales woman recommended this product. I'll try anything! I was skeptical after seeing it was a powder, but I love tea tree extract, so I purchased it. My blemishes are clearing quickly-- within a matter of days. This may not seem quick, but I cannot stress enough how many weeks I've been treating this acne without any response and/ or it getting worse. I'm blown away by this few day response/ improvement. My face is not oily or super dry. My skin feels healthy. Best of all, I can follow all steps of my skin care regimen cleanse to moisturize. The blemish areas are clearing up and are neither dried out nor oily. A HUGE thank you to BareMinerals and the Boutique for introducing me to this product. This will now be a constant on my club shipment. 02/27/2013
check your allergins I did not read the ingredient list closely enough prior to ordering this product. While it was very soft and tingled slightly it did not conceal anything. Additionally I am allergic to sulfas and the addtional acne fighting ingredients in this products are sulfurs. My skin looks worse two months out from trying this product for one week than it ever did with my occasional blemish prior to trying it. Read the ingredient list and insist on a better list for other products. 02/22/2013
Not effective After reading all the great reviews on this product, I brought this as a birthday gift for myself. I was thrilled to read that it would heal and conceal my blemishes. I was SO disappointed. This product does NOTHING to heal or conceal my blemishes! I have oily and very acne prone skin so I was hoping this product would do wonders... But no! I can't even tell that I put this product on my face because it really does nothing! BareMinerals, your make-up is outstanding but this product is a flop for me! :( 01/17/2013
A Must-Have for Acne! Love it! Love it! Love it! A spot treatment that doesn't dry out your skin! No risk of a chemical burn Finally! 12/29/2012
Not Impressed I am VERY prone to acne. Stress = zits. Fries = zits. Humidity = zits. I am talking full face zits. I used to have cystic ance and was on acutane for about 2 years and that did nothing. I started to use this since I am such a die hard BE addict but it didn't do anything either. I put it on morning and night until the jar was gone and I saw no difference. I feel like if you have the occasional blemish this would be okay. But anything more than that and I wouldn't get your hopes up. 12/15/2012

This will work for darker tones. I have a Golden Dark skin tone and I have used another product that comes up light such as the Pure Transformation Night Treatment in Tan which is advertised to help for those with Tan to darker skin tones. It's to be used at night and doesn't come off on the pillow. This Blemish Therapy I would use at night so that the treatment can work at its best. Get used to sleeping on your back so that your skin can breathe and allow the blemish therapy to work on your face.

It won't smell that bad. I believe something that doesn't smell too perfumed would be good for my skin. I have used makeup with a fragrance to it and it was bad news for my face. Once I used BE products again, my face improved in a week or less.

There have been a lot of questions about whether to use the blemish therapy before or after using moisturizer, and the consensus seems to be after, but i wanted to confirm with someone whether or not this also applied when using foundation primer. so if you used all three it would be moisturizer first, then primer, then blemish therapy? Will the blemish therapy be able to penetrate through the primer? thanks!

I use it after the moisturizer. I have heard that after you clean your face its important to replenish then treat. I don't use it during the day even though it actually matches my skin tone, only at night with a clean face. I feel like its just going to get spread around with all the product and defeat its spot-treatment effectiveness.

When I had a BE representative first makeunder my face, she put on the moisturizer, primer, and then blemish therapy. I then put my foundation and everything else on. Had pretty bad breakouts on my chin, and now with the blemish therapy I have no more breakouts, only had to cover the scars. So it must work through the moisturizer and primer just fine. Hope this helps!

When I went to the Bare Minerals store in the mall and had them do my make-up for me, they first used the moisturizer, then the primer, then applied the blemish therapy and additiotnal makeup afterwards. So, I'd say go ahead and try after but if you spot getting results or if you start getting a break-out, to stop and go back to your original routine. Hope that helped :)

I have been using the products for a very long time and have never had issues with Blemish Therapy not penetrating through the Primer. I have even mixed in Blemish thereapy with my foundation and concealer for extra help.

My morning regimen is:
1. Cleanser - usually the Deep Foam
2. Skin Rever-Upper
3. Moisturizer
4. Primer
5. Blemish Therapy &/or Concealer
6. Foundation
7. Warmth
8. Mineral Veil

This is specifically for blemishes which are raised, red bumps on the skin. You don't want to use this as concealer because it's not designed to conceal, but to remedy outbreaks or keep an outbreak from spreading by nipping it in the bud while it's a fresh blemish. Use the powder bisques to conceal. There's also the lightweight, cream READY Concealer, but it's so creamy to were I tried for months to blend it out and use less versus more and I gave it to my sister after trying so long to give it a chance. It looked too noticeable on my skin. Either I had the wrong shade or what I don't know...but my Dark Bisque (I'm Golden Dark) worked best for me. It blended out better and was evenly laid out.

It is very light and just helps with the treatment and redness of blemishes. Conceals just enough if you are putting foundation over it. I would recommend a separate product for under eye concealer.

If you are very careful and dont put it so close that it can get in your eyes then it would be a great concealer. The problem with that is, if you rub your eyes sometime during the day you risk getting it in your eyes. Probably not the best idea.

I would not use the blemish therapy as an under eye concealer since the skin clearing ingredients can dry and irritate the delicate skin around the eyes. I would suggest well rested or one of the bisque spf20 concealers.

The Blemish Therapy contains sulfur, which you DO NOT want to get in your eyes. It will burn like crazy, and the skin around your eyes may react to product even if none of the power actually gets in your eyes (because the skin around your eyes is more delicate and sensitive than the rest of your face).

I would recommend dabbing the original Prime Time Eye Primer under the eye to help hide dark circles, followed by a little Well Rested applied with a Blending Brush or a Concealer Brush. You can also use your foundation over the Prime Time Eye Primer, just make sure you apply it with a concealer brush for maximum control and coverage. Hope that helps...

You can use it as a concealer, however due to new packaging, I would be wary of buying this product. It comes out way too thick and you won't be happy with how the concealer looks on your face. Should they resume the old packaging, I would say YES - definitely use this, as it works beautifully.

Clean your face first. Then moisturize. Next, prime your face. After that, spot treat your blemish areas. From here, conceal your problem areas (other than your blemished areas because they have been treated with the blemish therapy powder), then do your foundation, blush, eyes, and lips.

Skin Rev-er Upper always goes on after cleansing but before you moisturize. I usually only use this in the morning though. As for the Blemish Therapy, you would apply that AFTER your moisturizer, but let the moisturizer soak into your skin for a few minutes so that when you put on the Blemish Therapy, it won't cake or clump.

A good rule of thumb is that anything that is powder based should go on AFTER a cream or liquid based product. The reason being that once you apply a powder based product, any creams, liquids, or serums that you apply after the powder will spread the powdered product all over your face, so you lose the concentrated benefits of the Blemish Therapy.

The brush is helpful for the application process so you may want to have the brush to go with it. The brush alone is probably worth more than the product and brush sold together. I would keep the brush for travel purposes or as a backup concealer brush aside from the Max Coverage Concealer Brush.

It doesnt expire, but as you mentioned, it can lose some potency over time. Once you open it, you should use it up within a year to get the best results. Also, be sure to store it in a cool, dry place to keep it fresh longer.

This depends on how much you use it when you have breakouts. If you're having your first horrible breakout or your 100th bad breakout, this is good to have. But if you have one or two blemishes and you know you can treat them and they're gone in a week, this may not be for you. You can still try this because if it works successfully for you, then you know that you can continue to use this at night before bed. Make sure you sleep on your back to allow your skin to breathe and the product can work its magic.

I bought mine about 3 months ago and it is still more than half-full. It goes a very long way, as I'll detail my usage below for you to better gauge:
I used it a lot at first [multiple applications per day, daily then again before bed], because I was having very regular breakouts due to the summer/autumn heat.
Then I used it as a "preventative" very lightly. For instance, I'd apply some on my forehead and chin where I used to break out. I'd only use a little at night; I probably did that a week or so.
Now, I use it more sparingly. I dust some on lightly if I think I may feel a pimple coming. I'm not sure if this actually prevented any breakouts, but I definitely don't need it as often as I once did. It is still just as effective, though, when I do have an occasional pimple.

I don't use other acne specific products anymore. Benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid formulas are too drying for me by the time they diminish the pimple; this is so much more gentle and speedy. In terms of other products, I do still cleanse and moisturize daily, of course; some are BE products, some aren't depending on what I feel my skin is needing. I only wear my BE make-up a few times a week, though.

Sorry this was so long. I wanted to try and answer your questions well. :)

When I had a major hormonal breakout recently, the newer .03 oz size barely lasted me a week. I used it morning and night basically on my forehead, chin and around my nose.
When I only had occasional breakouts the larger size lasted me generally about 1-2 months, depending on freq of use of course and normally I have only a rare breakout but of late, OMG... almost 50 and with teenage acne once again.. Sad that the size was decreased in size. Not worth it for that price

Hard to believe I know, but this product will work overnight. Just like the Active Renewal Night Serum and also the Pure Transformation Night Treatment. Never seen or used anything like it. I have acne scarring on my face in two areas. One on my chin and one on my left cheek on the cheekbone. I have dark skin, so for me it takes skill and light hand to mask it well. At night I love putting on the serum. My dark spots are clearing and I've only used it a week.

Actually you can start seeing results over night. It all depends on your skin. I know that on my chin, everything cleared up in a day or 2. where as the side of my nose is still getting worked on haha. Just keep using and it will work in no time.

ps just a lil tid bit from experience. Using things on your skin right after a shower (while the steam is still opening your pores) helps it work alot better because the medicine can get to it quicker. If you have to, dry your skin off only on the area your going to apply the product to an quickly put it on.
