Q & A

Mineral Veil - null 4.6 5 245 246
Perfect Finish This product is the perfect last step. It gives an airbrushed look, blends well, and covers. Thanks for the tinted, it's the perfect tone! 02/09/2016
Love my mineral veil I love the mineral veils. I own the translucent, illuminating, and a limited edition brightening pearl mineral veil. I love them all but the translucent is what I use the most. It sets my makeup and blends it all together with a nice soft finish. It's great for setting concealed areas like under the eyes and if you get your blush too dark it softens it up. 01/24/2016
Illuminating mineral veil awesome, glowing, flawless results when applied 01/23/2016
Perfect makeup setter I use this product all over and it sets my makeup well, I primarily use it under my eyes, so my mascara doesn't smear to my under eyes. It works great there. No more raccoon eyes! Lol! 01/21/2016
Only makeup I will ever use Bare minerals is the only makeup I use, and will ever use. I doesn't cake, goes on flawless, and is perfect for my sensitive skin. 01/13/2016
Just the Best! This is the best finishing powder I have ever used. It keeps my skin looking great all day and keeps the "shiny" appearance that can happen by the end of the day away. It is light and I don't feel like I have that heavy coverage, like many of the other products I have tried. 01/08/2016
A Nice Finishing Touch I like the original Mineral Veil. I purchased the Illuminating Mineral Veil but didn't like it. It has tiny sparkles/glitter in it. I am 46 and really didn't want to look like a teenager with glitter on my face. I gave it to my daughter. I would be careful to not get too much on your face of any Mineral Veil. Too much looks like you were playing with your grandma's powder puff! Go light for the perfect set and look. 01/08/2016
Love Mineral Veil I love the glow the Mineral Veil gives my skin. I also love that it never cakes up in the creases and stays put all day long. 01/07/2016
Absolutely beautiful healthy glow! This product is so beautiful, it gives your skin a radiant glowing appearance. For my age bracket 50's, it doesnt look great to only use this illuminating mineral veil. I think at this age less really is more. We can't run around with a bunch of sparkles at this age. I use the regular mineral veil first, then top it off with the illuminating mineral veil right where the sun would hit, across the bridge of nose and a touch on the cheeks, and forehead. It really brightens your look, and gives a much softer look to your skin. 01/07/2016
Perfect Finish ! The mineral veil pulls together your whole natural make up look. It makes my face look less shiny. I ran out of the sample size and noticed a big difference. My makeup looked warn out after a few hours. After buying and using it again my makeup lasted all day long ! This product makes a good finish to your beautiful look. 01/03/2016

I was worried about this too but I have not found this to be the case. This product is so light that it doesn't emphasize any flaws.

It depends on the shade of powder and the amount of application. I am 46 and take really good care of my skin. I hydrate every morning and night. I still have some irritating wrinkles! I use Bare Minerals and love it. I think that any makeup can make a person's wrinkles or flaws look bad. It depends on Shade and application. I think the Mineral Veil gives even mature skin a nice glow and doesn't magnify wrinkles any more than any other makeup.

I just finished up a HUGE container of "Tinted Feather Light Mineral Veil" that my mother in law gave me years ago. I immediately stopped using my regular Mineral Veil once I tried it. It has a subtle sparkle and gives truly, utterly flawless coverage over my medium beige powder foundation. I want to replace it, but there isn't a Mineral Veil by the same name. The new "Tinted" Mineral Veil is described as "feather light," but the "Illuminating" Mineral Veil is described as having that subtle sparkle. Do I need to use both to achieve the same look as my old Mineral Veil?!

Have you tried Mineral Veil? I use it as a last step because it seems to pull your face together and just kind of perfect it! Like airbrushing or filter effect for your complexion. I don't get that same result from Radiances. Those are more like a highlighter, give more of like a glow which I like but wouldn't call it a can't-live-without. MV definitely is!

I have VERY oily skin and I'm still in high school, so it's embarrassing to "casually" wipe the excess oil on your nose or forehead. (I get oily mainly in the "t-zone"). How long does this product mattify you're skin and what's the best way to use this so the mattification lasts longer?

I have very oily skin as well and the translucent mineral veil really helps! It last around 6 hours before I have to touch up my t-zone area from being shiny. I would recommend using the oil control primer, mineral foundation in matte, and then the translucent mineral veil.

I also have oily skin, so i have found that after i use my primer i buff on this mineral veil then my foundation then the mineral veil again. i usually have oily problems through the day at my hair line, and around my nose, but it seems to help keep it at bay. but remember honey, every one is different. i would atleast give it a try, but for me it seems to work all day.

I've tried the tinted and it left a dull layer on my skin. I then tried the illuminating mineral veil and really loved how it left a glow, but the glow is very light for my medium to tan complexion. Any advice? Should I try to mix the two together?

Try putting a quarter into the grove on the back lid. Pry it up and put product in, place the lid back down and carefully push it into place.

I've tried this before and wouldn't recommend it. For some reason it doesn't work very well with the Bare Minerals foundation overtop. Plus, it looks gorgeous as a finisher!

I would still recommend using a primer, but yes! Applying Mineral Veil under your foundation will really help keep oily shine away for the day.

Yes, you can apply it before the foundation. I like to do this in the Summer months as an extra oil barrier.

I've had many sales associates at the boutiques suggest using the mineral veil (either ready or original) as a FIRST step before foundation esp if you have oily skin.

What happened to the very light weight, colorless, hydrating Mineral Veil?? It was awesome! Because it was so light weight and colorless, you could do quick touch ups all the time without worry of "piling it on".
